Sooo... tell me, people. Any concerts you've been to? Any you lookin' forward to, or just wish to see? Well then post 'em here!
A couple of years ago, I was able to see Phil Collins perform in Dubai, which was entertaining, but I wasn't able to stay through the entire show because... it was getting really late. And then leaving the parking lot was a living HELL.
But it's nice to see him letting his back-up singers have a bit of spotlight too. He'd basically let them sing a few songs on their own. And drum solos FTW.
Alsoooo, last night I saw Weird Al Yankovic at the Utah State Fair. That's right. Weird Al Freakin' Yankovic. Call me a geek, if you want, but that was all sorts of fun. He's just such a crazy guy that I find it hard not to love him. <3
Anyone else?

I've never never been to a concert before. I don't typically like crowds because I always seem to get stuck next to that one guy. You know the one I'm talking about. Anyway, the closest thing that qualifies as "concert" that I've been to was a performance by Blue Man Group. It was freakin' awesome, but it was also more like show than a concert.

I've never been to a concert, but I really want to go to a Coldplay concert at least once in my life.

Weird Al is awesome in concert! I saw him while he was out on the "Running With Scissors" tour. Really cool show.
Let's see.. I've been to quite a few concerts in my day.
First concert was Motley Crue, which was an interesting experience, to say the least. My mom was going to take me to see Metallica when they did the show with the Symphony, but tickets had sold out by the time we called.
Seen The Moody Blues a number of times. Their shows are alright. They're not the most impressive show to go see, though their music is just as good live as it is on their CD's.
I've been to countless G3 concerts. G3 is when Joe Satriani and Steve Vai get together, grab another kick-ass guitarist and tour across the world. It's always been a very spectacular show to go see, regardless of venue. I will say that Ruth Eckerd Hall (Clearwater, FL) is probably one of the best places. They'd just spent several months renovating the place, so the guitar guys got to break in the new house sound system. Other venues, such as House of Blues, are fun for the sake of being able to move around and get different perspectives. I'm not a huge fan of being mushed into a crowd of sweaty screaming people, but I do it anyway...
Seen both Satriani and Vai on their solo tours a number of times as well. Actually won free tickets and free backstage passes to Vai's "Real Illusions" tour. Best night - ever. Also saw Yngwie Malmsteen on a solo tour at one of the local theatres that usually hosts local bands. It was good, but the energy between Yngwie and his band doesn't flow as well as it could. Seemed like the lead singer was competing for attention, while most people were slightly more intrigued by Yngwie's country-sausage sized fingers flying down the fretboard of a guitar at the speed of light.
Been to a bunch of local gigs, local bands. Rudesquad is one of my favorites. Check 'em out if you're into a more upbeat sounding punky/ska. They're lots of fun. They got me into an 18+ venue while I was still 17. The bouncer at the door was refusing to let me in, but the lead guitarist/singer says, "She's with the band."
Saw My Chemical Romance and their Black Parade tour the beginning of this year. They put on an excellent show. It all goes very well with the music.. and even though I was in the midst of a thousand sweaty 13-year-old Gerard Way fangirls screaming at the very sight of the man, it was still enjoyable. It was interesting to see such a mash-up of ages. There were parents there with their kids, but even adults on their own there for the show.
Went to a George Clinton & Parliament (I forget what they're calling themselves currently) show a few years back. Couldn't stay for the whole gig, but it was very freakin' cool. Kind of an odd crowd to be in, however. A kid standing next to us had been hopped up on some drug or another, and we're fairly sure he took too much of it. They had to take him out on a stretcher. ..I got to hear "Maggot Brain" live, which really made my night. The whole band really works well together, good energies between all the members, great music.
I missed out on Buckethead while he was in town. My boyfriend got to go, and said it was one of the strangest but coolest concerts he'd been to. Good theatrics, not to mention that Buckethead can play the guitar with that same wicked-awesome complexity of Satriani and Vai. It's on my list of shows to see before I die, along with Pink Floyd..

So do I!! I was gonna get tickets for the Twisted Logic Tour last year, but they were sold out... I hear Coldplay is releasing their new album entitled "Prospekt" (I think they spelled it with a K for some purpose) later this year or early 2008, so I'm hoping I can get tickets for their concert when they go on tour for their new album.I've never been to a concert, but I really want to go to a Coldplay concert at least once in my life.
I haven't been to a concert yet, but like submas13, I just want to go to a Coldplay concert, and I would be happy.

I've been to plenty of concerts in my days. Ho ho ho! *old woman cackle*
The best one by far was Play Symphony. Me, Josse and two of our friends managed to snatch tickets for the European Premier in Stockholm last summer, and it was suh-weeet~
To hear the Mario theme played by a full orchestra was....well, simply amazing, and One Winged Angel on speed (with a live choir, mind you) was very very impressive. :3

Coldplay are supposed to be a bit dull live, which is a shame really (though fitting judging from X&Y ).
Anyway, my university is the place most bands to 'warm up' gigs before the UK wing of their tours start, so we essentially get huge bands for next to nothing. It's great.
Two acts I'm really looking forward to for some reason are Jools Holland and Beverly Knight. (Maybe Kasabian and Kate Nash too if I can blag some tickets)

Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Pillows, Arcade Fire and Los Abandoned at Conan O'Brien, Warren Haynes at Carson Daly.. and I'll be feeling stupid for a while for not going with my sister to Farm Aid yesterday. I don't know why I didn't just get a ticket. Dammit. I am now quite depressed and unhappy. So stupid. Ugh.

I'm just a bit pissed that I missed the Gorillaz concert when they were performing at the Apollo. My Live in Manchester DVD is prolly the closest I'll ever get to seeing it. ;__;

Hmmmm I've only been to a couple. I've been to lots of roadshows in England though when i was a kid.
Concert wise I've seen Garbage (one of the best days EVER) and i was dragged to see Ocean Color Scene.... (i mean dragged) but their music was pretty decent live.
People i want to see live-
The Prodigy
M. Manson
Gwen Steffani
Aerosmith
Alishas Attic (if they were to reform)

*concert newb here* Though, I splashed out and paid $80 on tickets to go see Porcupine Tree late april. I really cannot wait for it- PT's one of my favourite bands ever
Annoyance though, it's march and I've already missed Battles, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden (!), and Dead Letter Circus, amongst others. (Muse played TWICE last year, and I missed out on both times. )

I have only really been to two serious concerts... GWAR and They Might Be Giants. Opening acts for Gwar were Pipebomb (crappy local band), Disarray, God Forbid, and I think one other group I do not remember?
Gwar was great. For those who do not know, they wear intensely awesome alien-monster costumes and put on a show involving large amounts of violence, spraying blood and urine (both fake) all over the audience. They were fantastic.
They Might Be Giants I saw at a free concert in a casino. I must say that I was slightly let down, partly because I am not a fan of The Else (which the songs they played came from) and partly because of the strange environment of the casino. Since it was a free show, it did not last as long as their normal concerts also.
(Oh, if Blue Man Group counts as a concert {I did not see them on tour but in a theater} I have seen them three times)

I've only been to three concerts. Last one was Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and it ROCKED! I'd like to see that one again sometime.
Right now I'd personally like to see any rock.metal based band in concert. I think we were discussing a NiN one at one point, but the tickets sold out too quickly. Seeing a Manson concert would rock.

I got to see Joe Satriani today! It was totally awesome! It was at Guitar Center in Chicago. He played about 6 songs which totally rocked. Then, there was a Q&A session. But then.... Then there was an autograph signing. I got my copy of his latest album signed. But the best part was that he shook my hand and said, "Thanks for coming!" I responded with, "No problem. Glad I could be here!" Then, a friend of mine got a picture of me and Joe Standing together. This has to be one of the greatest days of my life!!!!!!!

That sounds like a really mindblowing experience! : D
I just found out that Nick Cave is coming to Stockholm. Alas, the concert is already sold out. *tear* That's one concert I really would have wanted to see.

There will always be more, Icachan. What you've gotta do though is go on your favorite artist's website at least once daily for a minute or two to check for any new concert dates. That's how I found out about the show I went to.

I was at a Linkin Park concert in February. It like..... ate my soul with excellence. Only problem was, even though I was only like, 80 feet from the stage (I could have hocked a baseball and broken the drummer's arm), we were practically behind the stage. I was staring at the singer's butt the whole time.

Last Sunday I went to a Christian rock concert, the last stop of the Music Builds Tour 2008. I'm not that into popular bands, even popular Christian bands, but I went because it was an opportunity to spend time with friends and listen to some (hopefully) good music. We got lost on the way there. For such a big event, you'd think there would be a ton of signs pointing to it, but there were none. We managed to get there in time to catch the last song featured by Switchfoot. Then Third Day came on, and we listened to their whole selection before leaving. I recognized a few of Third Day's songs from my dad playing Christian rock songs throughout the house. I had a lot of fun , way more than I expected. I liked the music, and even sang along to some of it (when I could hear the words. Concerts are so loud, my poor ears). I got Third Day's new CD Revelation for Dad afterward. That made him very happy.
