I'll admit it...I wasn't much unto the hype surrounding the game when it was coming out...I saw the video walkthroughs, the trailers, etc., but nothing impressed me more until I got to finally play the game last week, and after finishing it...I must say it has a GOTY award in my books already (well, for now...) The graphics were one thing, but as you can see in both my sig, and the title, I have a great respect for the story in the game, and the dialogue between the characters...It was defintely a step up from the typical 'no-story' shooters that may exist out there. I rate it about a 9.5 out of 10...because my issues with the ending (far too short to an otherwise great story)

I was wondering if anyone else played the game, and what impressions you had with it?

****Oh, and for everyone's information...I didn't kill a single Little Sister in the game. (check my gamertag...Dreamcasted60 =P)

Bioshock is indeed GOTY material. Its the best game I've played this year thus far. It would be a shoe in for GOTY if not for Halo 3 and its brainwashing hypeno-waves.

I think the biggest reason the game is so good is because the environment is so creative and every room is drenched in ambiance. The action is great as well. I haven't beaten it yet, but I'm very close. Thus far my favorite area has been Fort Frolic. Cohen was one seriously sick ****. I like that. It makes the game creepier.

I've never played it but all of the videos never seemed to appeal much to me. I found myself saying I want to play it but then other times I told myself it looks kinda pointless. I still want to check it out if what all of the people are saying about it is true.
