I think the same. I'm kinda weird, I don't think his hair is blond or purple like most. In a dream a few months ago that I had, there was a boy who betrayed his evil master and decided to protected a girl who the master wanted for some reason. When I woke up, I could never remember a clear picture of the boy, but I do remember that he wore almost all black, had white gloves on, and could fly. Sometimes he had thick, kinda messy black hair and others I could have sworn he had on a black hat in the exact shape of NiGHTS's. I know it was just my subconsciousness's weird take on NiGHTS, but I can't help but think of his hair as being black, short, and thick like in the dream.

Like some other people have said, I've always envisioned this uhh, thing as part of NiGHTS' body. Maybe it's not horns, but something like a horn-shaped growth? That moves? Ok, now I'm gonna have nightmares thinking about that...

Um... Antaennae-like horns? Whenever I think of it I think of the Harlequin Demon from Nightmare Before Christmas. That one has fleshy antaennae that move on command. I think that's what NiGHTS has.
I can't really see him with a hat or hair. I don't know why.

Quite honestly, I could never decide what his mug looked like under the hat (is he bald or what). I like Trippy's idea of horns though.

^^; I basically agree with the "camel humps" theory. XD In my own little fan-world, I call them sensors--fleshy antennae-like growths on the head that NiGHTS and Reala use to hear, smell, and sense stuff. But they don't move on their own.
But in any case, I think they're attached, and soft, not hard horns. ^^;

I would say that is a hat...that is attached to her head, so that means that there's nothing under it (except maybe for her brain?) well, after all, Nightmares are supposed to be hollow...or is it?

I chose "horns"... I don't think he's wearing a hat. I don't think he's wearing any clothes at all, I think it's all part of his body. If he can turn into a bobsled...
