[Icachan]

Y'know how it can be. You stumble upon a game that's just.. so original or cute or fun, but no one else seems to have heard of it. (We're NiD-fans, this happens all the time for us, right? ;D )

This is were you can give that game a moment to shine. And to make it all easier for you I've even added a little template that you can use, if you wish. Feel free to recommend several games in one go, if you got a lot to say!

Title: Blinx- The Time Sweeper
Console: Xbox
Type of Game: Platform
Synopsis: You are Blinx, an antropomorpfic cat that works at the Time Factory, a place that manufactures and distributes time to other worlds. Your job is to correct glitches and corruptions within Time with your vacuum cleaner-like Time Sweeper.
When one of the worlds ends up at the brink of destruction, you alone set out to save it in a race against the clock.

Comments: Just started playing this one, but so far it's a lot of fun. Directed by NiD's Oshima, it's colorful, cute and got a pretty memorable soundtrack. The time combinations are a nice touch to the gameplay imo, and I think they will prove immensly useful once I figure out how to use them properly. XD The only downside I've found so far is that the camera can get a bit glitchy at times, so it's hard to see where you're supposed to go. Other than that, I really like it and I'm sure it's up for a couple of replays.


Title: Beyond Good and Evil
Console: PC, GameCube, Playstation 2, Xbox
Type of game: Action-Adventure
Synopsis: Jade, a young female photographer living on the planet of Hyllis, suddenly finds herself in contact with a secret rebel association: the IRIS Network. They are fighting to uncover the truth about the alleged protectors of the planet: The Alpha Section, and the alien DomZ that are currently holding Hyllis under siege. At first Jade is reluctant to get involved, but when she uncovers more and more disturbing proof she soon sets out on a quest to find out what's really good and evil.

Comments: This game really took me by surprise. Colorful, good graphics, plenty of things to do and gameplay that require accuracy, patience and a slice of strategy. The general design looks cool, the gameplay is acceptable (camera angles again, but that's about it) and the music... let's just say that "Akuda House Propaganda" still pops up on my music list on a regular basis.

Title: Tales of Symphonia
Console: Gamecube (and ps2 in japan)
Type of game: RPG
Synopsis: The main chara and friends set out on a generic save the world adventure, but things aren't always what they seem..
Comments: I just LOVE this game. The battle system is great (it has 4 player multiplayer) and the character development is just sublime. The graphics and music are good but not omg awesome, but they fit perfectly. The plot is kinda cliche but you don't really care because the characters are so damn likeable. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a good rpg for gamecube if you don't have it already. I hear they're making a sequel for Wii but we'll just have to see how that turns out.

Both good choices, Ica! Sadly I haven't gotten a chance to play Beyond Good and Evil, though I've heard good things about it. Anyway..


Title:Skullmonkeys
Console:PS1
Type of game:Platform
Synopsis:The evil Klogg was banished from The Neverhood at the end of the first game, but has now ended up on a planet ruled by scary-but-stupid creatures known as Skullmonkeys. Klogg becomes their leader and sets off to rule the planet, while Klaymen is brought into the scene to stop him. In the single-player platform game you control Klaymen, a resident of the Neverhood who is kidnapped in order to prevent the destruction of the Neverhood.
Comments: This was a very odd game. In terms of general feel, think a stop-motion animated Earthworm Jim. Great game, if you can find it. It had a prequel called The Neverhood, which was an adventure game. Very much worth looking into.

Title:Tomba(Known as Tombi in the UK.)
Console:PS1
Type of Game:Platform.
Synopsis:You play the role of an energetic pink-haired youth named Tomba. Tomba's island was once a beautiful, peaceful place. However, seven evil pigs appeared, and using their magical powers, they mutated the surroundings into a bizarre landscape. The underlings of The Evil Pigs, called the Koma Pigs, stole Tomba's grandfather's bracelet and a plethora of gold through a strange lust for it.

Tomba is on a quest to retrieve the bracelet, which requires vanquishing the Evil Pigs along the way. Trapping them involves finding Evil Pig Bags, keys to entering each realm of each Evil Pig. When Tomba confronts an Evil Pig, he can throw and seal them into their Evil Pig Bag. He must also complete missions for other people and areas to get items and Evil Pig Bags. Some side-missions are purely for fun and irrelevant to the Evil Pigs storyline.
Comments:Another great game, it features a mission system where you can take on other quests, such as retrieving food for Charles, the monkey, or his pants. I'm still looking for all the quests, even after having this game for 10 years. Excellent find if you can locate it.

Title:The Secret of Monkey Island
Console:PC
Type of Game:Adventure
Synopsis:The game introduces Guybrush Threepwood, a youth who desires to become a pirate. At the beginning of the game, he washes up on the Caribbean island of Mêlée. Guybrush meets the Pirate Leaders who set him three challenges to prove himself a pirate: defeat the island's swordmaster in insult swordfighting, steal a statue from the Governor's mansion, and find buried treasure. Along the way he meets several interesting characters, including swordsmaster Carla, Meathook (a fellow with hooks on both hands), a prisoner named Otis and, most significantly, the gorgeous Governor Elaine Marley.
Comments:What's there to say about this one? The game has a great sense of humor, and is one of the many Adventure titles released by LucasArts. Some of you may also remember classics like Day of the Tentacle.
The first in an excellent series of games (Curse of Monkey Island being the best, imo.) Worth giving a shot if you like Adventure games, then you've most likely already played Monkey Island.

Title:Psychonauts
Console:Xbox, PS2, PC
Type of game:Platform
Synopsis:In Psychonauts, the player controls Raz (short for Razputin), a mysterious new arrival at a training camp for Psychonauts — elite special agents who use their psychic powers to combat psycho-terrorism and retrieve information from inside people's minds.
Comments:Probably one of my favorite games of all time, you'll notice that Raz is indeed my avatar. Sadly, it ended up as a sleeper hit, but don't let that stop you from giving this one a try. The sense of humor in this game is certainly out there, which you'll see once you pick this one up. HIGHLY recommended out of any games I list here, second only to my next, and last entry in this list.

Title:Earthbound
Console:SNES
Type of Game:RPG
Synopsis:10 years in the future, the planet is in ruins. The evil Alien, Giygas, has reduced the Earth to ashes. Yet there's a legend told of three boys and a girl who can stop this from happening. As Ness, a 13 year old boy from Onett, that duty falls to you. Ness must find his other 3 friends spoken of in the legend and journey to the Eight "Your Sanctuaries" located all over the world. His weapons available to him are a baseball bat and psychic powers. Along the way you'll fight a local gang of punks, the Sharks, cultists of Happy Happyism, and Zombies, just to name a few.
Comments:Now THIS is my favorite game of all time. Very quirky, and with Beatles jokes littered within (You even ride in an actual Yellow Submarine!) this game had a big, but ultimately doomed ad-campaign. Never seeing a release in the UK, some of you may rememeber the MASSIVE box on store shelves, which enclosed the Walkthrough, along with the game and a scratch & sniff card. Ugh, Master Belch was foul.. Otherwise, this is a great game, if you can get past the graphics. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Title: Mischief Makers (Yuke Yuke Troublemakers)
Console: Nintendo64
Type of game: platform/puzzle
Synopsis: "While visiting the planet Clancer, Professor Theo is kidnapped by the Empire, acting upon orders from their emperor, while Marina is out scouting.Upon realizing Theo's abduction she sets out to rescue him.

Marina proceeds to travel through over 50 levels on Planet Clancer to find her master. Every person, animal, and inanimate object on the planet (including the planet itself) has an identical "face", seemingly belonging to a species called 'Clancer'. Along the way Marina attempts to rescue the professor but she is repeatedly impeded by agents of the Empire, whom she must defeat to rescue the professor." -Wikipedia

Comments: This game is one of the most unique adventures I've ever seen. It was also one of the first games I ever played on the N64. The character designs are unique, puzzles challenging, and it does have replay value, in my opinion. Its a lot of fun to play and there's even an extended ending to earn, by collecting golden gems hidden throughout each level. People should really check this one out. It is, however, hard to find. If you run across it, you should pick it up!

Title: Destroy All Humans (1 and 2)!
Console: PS2 and Xbox
Type of game: Action/Adventure Open-Ended; GTA-Clone
Synopsis: The player plays as Crypto, an alien sent to Earth to harvest Human DNA from Humans' brains so the Aliens (Called 'Furons' ) can breed again. You ride around on foot or in a UFO and level 50s (DAH1) or 60s (DAH2) locations along with doing missions that have pop culture references of each era.
Comments: A nice time waster if you're tired of GTA, and want something more Sci-Fi. I rarely hear about this game from places, but it's a nice rental if you've got money to waste. However, I don't suggest playing this game with family around; There's a lot of sexual references and mentionings that might be too adult for kids. After all, the reason why you're harvesting people's brains is so the alien race can produce Genitalia again after a freak Nuclear Accident.

Title: The 7th Guest

Platform: OLD OLD OLD DOS PC/ Amega/ Sega CD?

Type of game: Horror/ Puzzle

Synopsis: A old man named Henry Stauf was a low life, he muged stole and after awhile murdered. On the Night he murdered he saw a Doll floating in the air while he was dreaming, he reached out and grabbed it and to his surprise it was real. He tired his best to copy the doll and when he did he sold the dolls in the little shop. But, every child who bought all his toys started getting deathly sick until the point where they all died. After he was driven out of town but built a mansion on a really freaky hill. He invites 7 guests to play his sick game.

Comments: one of the most freaky games I have ever played, the games music and environment was extremely moody at the time, this was also one of the hardest games I have ever played too the puzzles where so head splitting me and my dad couldn't beat the game XD. So if you like creepy games and hard ones, I recommend this game (BUY IT )

Being a Megaman fan, I think you guys know which game I'm gonna recommend:

Title: Megaman ZX
Console: DS
Genre: Action/Adventure, Side-scroller
Synopsis: Giro runs his own Delivery company. One day, while Giro and his worker Vent/Aile (depends on which person you choose) is delivering a package to a company, Reploids attack the 2 couriers. Vent/Aile are knocked down, and they are exposed to the package that they are delivering (a Biometal, Model X). Vent/Aile are able to use that BioMetal, and they realize that they need to deliver it to the company (which is accessible by completing the level). And so their adventure starts...
Comments: I was looking forward to getting this game (since I'm an avid fan of MMZ), and I was not disappointed at all. The graphics are similar to other Megaman side-scrollers, but the gameplay is AMAZING. The game is considerably long (it took me 3-4 months to beat it on Easy mode, and now I have to complete it in Normal mode. Who knows how long it will take me to beat the game on Hard??). What I really like is the music and the switching between BioMetals in the level (it's really cool to see Vent/Aile switch into another form). This game is probably my favorite DS game.

Another game:
Title: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
Console: Gamecube
Genre: Action/Adventure
Synopsis: A mysterious hedgehog is commiting crimes; his physical description matches Sonic the Hedgehog's. Due to this, Sonic gets arrested by GUN (the military). While being transported to another prison facility, Sonic breaks out of the helicopter transporter, and he tries to set himself free. While Sonic is doing what he needs to do, Shadow (the Sonic look-alike) commits crimes, which includes stealing Chaos Emeralds, and when Shadow metts Dr. Eggman, he decides to team up with him (Shadow is trying to remember his past, which he can't at all).
Comments: This is my favorite Sonic game of all time (I've played so many Sonic games, it's not funny. XD). I love the gameplay, and the soundtrack is AWESOME!!! I have the official soundtrack, and I've listened to it so many times. If you wanna a game that fun in all aspects (graphics, gameplay, multiplayer, music, etc.), you REALLY need to get this game.

[Zero-Shift]

Title: Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner
Console: Playstation 2
Type of game: Action
Synopsis: You play a Dingo, an ex-soldier who is forced agaist his will to pilot the Orbital Frame Jehuty in order to prevent an all out war between Mars and Earth.
Comments: This game is great on so many levels and is a sequel that improves on the original in every conceivable way. It's also the greatest mech game in existence right now, period. Orbital Frames are borderline super robots and make Gundams look like tin soldiers. Controlling Jehuty is incredibly intuitive. Being able to fly anywhere without limit is great and the combat is fast but also strategic. You can use melee attacks or fight from a distance. You can even grab enemies and do several things with/to them. Graphics are slightly cel-shaded to give the game a certain anime look and cutscenes were animated by the same studio that made Blue Submarine No. 6. The audio is great as well, having a killer techno soundtrack. Despite largely positive reviews, the game never sold very well, probably due to its pedigree (The original ZOE became notorious as the game that came with the MGS2 demo). However Kojima obviously loves the series, having put nods to it in every Metal Gear game since Sons of Liberty, so a sequel may be in the works after MGS4.

Title: Killer7
Console: Gamecube & Playstation 2
Type of game: Adventure/Shooter
Synopsis: You play Harman Smith, an assassin with seven split personalities that are also assassins. Crazy **** be happenin.
Comments: In all honesty, I can see why this game was overlooked. The game prioritizes its aesthetics and style over gameplay and as such the gameplay isn't the most compelling. It kind of plays like an average rail shooter. However the game is so much more than the sum of its parts because its focus on presentation is what makes it so great. The graphics are heavily cel-shaded to give the appearance of a graphic novel and the soundtrack, composed by Masafumi Takada, my personal favorite game music composer, is excellent to say the least. There is also an all-star cast of proffesional voice talents to make the cutscenes that much more compelling. What really sets the game so high is its extremely complicated mind**** narrative. It's easily the most stylish, intricate, disturbing, and thought provoking game I 've ever played. All this, to me, makes Killer7 the greatest example to strengthen the argument that video games are a valid form of art.

Synopsis: The setting is (presumably) planet Earth, during a post-apocalyptic year 2000. Prior to the events in the game, a group of scientists conducted genetic experiments in a great facility called Edo. From their activities emerged the two attributes: Silhouette and Mirage.

Eventually, the genetic experiments resulted in a biological explosion which contaminated the genetic structure of all entities on Earth. Many perished, and those that survived displayed either of the two attributes (a special group, called Proteans, can display both attributes).

In preparation for this disaster, the computer system Gehena created a being known as 'The Messenger of Justice' (hostile figures dubbed her 'Messenger of Destruction'), designed to repair Edo's computer's system and neutralise all the instances of the two attributes. Comments: FUNNY! I think the people who made Mischif Makers also did this game. It is recommended that you read more about this game on Wiki. There is so much stuff to this game its insaine. Now this may sound serious...but the storyline is actually hilarious. This game is very wacky and fun, and its recommened you get the Playstation English version instead of the Sega Saturn version. However, the English version game is very very hard. So you need to be a very good video game player to beat this game. If you are a fan of NiGHTS then you will love this game. "Why won't you buy my flowers? MY PRETTY FREKIN FLOWERS!"

Title: Police Quest 1-3 (4 wasn't made by the original developer, and it's really just an interactive version of the movie Psycho )

Type of game: Adventure Game (In particular, point-and-click adventure)
Synopsis: You play as Sonny Bonds, a police officer (detective in 2, and you play as officer at first and then get promoted to detective in both 1 and 3) of the fictional town Lytton (I think it is. Haven't played it in awhile. ). While on his normal, average, everyday patrol, he suddenly gets a dispatch call about

You have successfully arrested Jessie Banes, but he has escaped *GASP*! He now is planning his revenge, by killing all the drug dealers who ratted him out, and finally planning to take care of you (and he almost does)

You killed Jessie in 2, but Jessie's brother, who went insane after Jessie dies, starts a cult that's after you. Your partner ends up being part of this cult, so watch out! For those curious, though, you don't kill Jessie's brother. He lives after the end.

Comments: The series is pretty nice for you guys 'n' gals who are interested in what real Police work is like. The whole entire series is based on actual Police Drills, and how Police Officers work and other stuff. Hell, the developer of the game was a Police Officer, until he was wounded during his duty and turned to developing Video Games. So, TAKE THAT JACKO XD.

However, this game ain't for slow thinkers. Things will pop out outta no where, so, when you play, be prepared for anything. You WILL want to download the manual for the game, as well, because it's severely frustrating without it. Like Destroy All Humans, there is a lot of Sexual Content (Sonny's friend and later wife is a prostitute), so, just a heads up to you guys and gals. BUT, you get to play poker with DRUG DEALERS in Police Quest 1 8D!

in 3, though, because you'll think you're perverted for probably weeks.

One last thing.: I never finished the series, either, so... just a heads up XD; . I finished 1, and 2. I didn't finish 3. I don't play a lot of Realistic games. This one just catches my eye.

I was looking through some of the recommendations. Remember people, this is a thread to recommend OVERLOOKED games. The likes Chrono Trigger, Zelda, or anything that's a Greatest Hits title really doesn't have any place being mentioned here.

[Exploding-Man]

Title: Max Payne (1 and 2)
Console: Low end PC, PS2 (maybe others)
Type of game: Third person shooter.
Synopsis: Enter Max Payne, a narcotics detective with nothing to lose. Family murdered. Framed for the murder of his partner. Hunted by the police and getting to the bottom of these shady events one bullet at a time.
Comments: Very cool game. Probably the start of the bullet time in games cliche. Very gritty storyline. Narrated in a very film noir sort of way (hence the second game's title). Very detailed. Gets commentary through various NPCs, cut scenes and in game TV shows (animated gifs with narration), and in between acts you will get the occasional dream sequence (something for you NiGHTS fans to enjoy... though not the happy go lucky sort of dream in the least), which are dark commentary on the events of the game. Its just a shame Remedy isn't making any more and the IP is solely in the hands of Rockstar now. You will also fall in love with the band Poets of the Fall by the end of 2. Oh yeah, and beyond the storyline there is some really fun (and at times challenging) shooter action. Not for those who dislike violent games though.

Oh as a definite, play 1 before 2. The games are cheap (9 dollar rack nowadays, or download if you like that route) and have low system reqs so that shouldn't be a problem.

Genre: Platformer
Synopsis: Dr. Robotnik is taking over Little Planet along with his newest creation Metal Sonic. Sonic has to travel through time and collect the seven Time Stones in order to reverse Dr. Robotnik's evil doing, defeat Metal Sonic, save Amy and free Little Planet.
Comments: The brainchild of Naoto Ohshima, and arguably the best Sonic game ever, Sonic CD is Sonic the Hedgehog's true calling, not just as an excellent title, but as an artistic property. Sonic CD is a psychedelic journey that conveys a tale of nature and machine using Japanese art and design, all from the interchangeable levels to the immersive audio to the beautiful anime cut-scenes. I highly recommend this game for those who truly want to open their eyes to what Sonic is really about.

Title: Gunstar Heroes
Console: SEGA Mega-Drive
Genre: Run and Gun
Synopsis: The Empire, along with former Gunstar Green, is attempting to awaken the Destructor by using the four Mystical Gems. It's up to Gunstars Red and Blue to thwart The Empire and prevent the reawakening of Golden Silver.

Title: Dynamite Headdy
Console: SEGA Mega-Drive
Genre: Plaformer
Synopsis: King Dark Demon is taking over Puppet Theater and its up our puppet hero and escapee Headdy to to defeat the Puppet Masters, along with recurring rival Maruyama, and free the land of puppets from the clutches of Dark Demon.
Comments: Another Treasure classic, Dynamite Headdy is another one of those surreal Japanese games I seem to veer toward so much. The whole game takes places on a puppet stage and it's really creative how Treasure uses it as the theme of the game. It ensures some really quirky humor which oozes from every pore. I love Maruyama too, the purple cat-bear with his array of interchangeable machines.

Title: Parodius
Console: Arcade
Genre: Scrolling Shooter
Synopsis: From what I gather, an evil giant tapir is eating dreams and Twinbee, Pentarou and an octopus have to defeat this tapir and save the dreams of the world.
Comments: This game is just weird. It even rivals Dynamite Headdy (I think it's the same creators too before they left Konami and formed Treasure). Go play it or at least watch a video on YouTube.

Title: Rocket Knight Adventures
Console: SEGA Mega-Drive/Super Nintendo
Genre: Platformer
Synopsis: An army of pigs and wolves, along with Dark Knight Axel Gear, have kidnapped Princess Sherry and are attempting to rule over Elhorn, a magical kingdom inhabited by possums (But cute ones, not the scary ones you see at night). Rocket Knight hero Sparkster volunteered to overthrow the evil pigs, as well tie loose ends with his rival Axel Gear, to save Elhorn.
Comments: An obvious Sonic clone, yes, but unlike the many that plagued gaming in the early 1990's, this one is actually good. You have an awesome fire sword and a rocket pack that you can charge up and blast into the air. There have been three RKA games: two for the Genesis and one for the Super Nintendo. I would say the Super Nintendo one is the definite version but try the Genesis one first. The second Genesis game, Rocket Knight Adventures 2, isn't half bad either.

Title: Ristar the Shooting Star
Console: SEGA Mega-Drive
Genre: Platformer
Synopis: The evil space pirate Greedy is taking over the Valdi System (Notice the recurring theme) and the inhabitants call Ristar to the cosmos to save the planets from Greedy's regime. Can the rising star do it?
Comments: Such a grossly overlooked gem. Then again I could say the same for the other entries above. Seriously, what's with me and obscure Japanese platformers? Anyway, Ristar is a beautiful platformer with some of the most interactive levels yet. The character himself is quite interactive too. He'll always look at the screen and give you a gesture of some sort each time something interesting happens. I say SEGA should make a sequel. Ristar has the appeal. SEGA just needs to market the character.

Synopsis: An army of pigs and wolves, along with Dark Knight Axel Gear, have kidnapped Princess Sherry and are attempting to rule over Elhorn, a magical kingdom inhabited by possums (But cute ones, not the scary ones you see at night). Rocket Knight hero Sparkster volunteered to overthrow the evil pigs, as well tie loose ends with his rival Axel Gear, to save Elhorn.
Comments: An obvious Sonic clone, yes, but unlike the many that plagued gaming in the early 1990's, this one is actually good. You have an awesome fire sword and a rocket pack that you can charge up and blast into the air. There have been three RKA games: two for the Genesis and one for the Super Nintendo. I would say the Super Nintendo one is the definite version but try the Genesis one first. The second Genesis game, Rocket Knight Adventures 2, isn't half bad either.

Sonic CD I would have to agree is the best Sonic Game to date. I often wonder why there has never been another Sonic game like it... or any game like it for that matter. I have yet to see another game that has the same level with 4 time variations all interchangeable throughout the course of one level's play, with style and a good sound track to boot. It is one of those elements I would soooo do in a game if someone were to ever give me the lead designer hat for one game. While from a design standpoint it could have been better if there were more incentive to both get a good future AND collect all of the time stones, this was still my favorite Sonic game, and one of my all time favorite games. (ADD: Also, I liked the US soundtrack version better. The original soundtrack VS the American soundtrack is one of much debate with this game. Some people like one and hate the other, some like one more than the other, but really I think it depends on which you play first. Really I love the ambiance feel of the American soundtrack. Very out of the ordinary for a Sonic game. In a good way.)

As far as RNA goes, never was arsed to play the SNES version, but RNA one was great. I think its unjust to call it a Sonic clone. Yeah, I meant on a character design standpoint. Back when Sonic was really popular, game developers attempted to make mascots with 'tude of their own. Many of them were crap except Sparkster and maybe a couple others.

Cartoonified? If anything the first RKA was more cartoony what with the black outlines and speech bubbles. Rocket Knight Adventures 2 had more of a Sonic 3 look if you ask me. Still, I somewhat agree. As with the case of Gunstar Super Heroes, RKA2's gameplay was simply too different. It's a good game in its own right and I admire that Konami combined the best of both Rocket Knight games for the Super Nintendo version. Going with my Gunstar example, I believe Treasure should try something similar with their Gunstar games.

Nonetheless, I look forward to a Virtual Console release, the Super Nintendo version in particular.

another really good game that is often overlooked is secret of evermore(secret of mana stole all the popularity). it has no connections to the mana series, but it's also made by square(now it's square-enix the silly beans, fusing together and all that) and has almost the exact same engine and graphics as secret of mana.

Playstation version because it is the only one that is available in English. In fact, the Sega Saturn one is more expensive. Plus, the best part of the game is storyline. You would be missing out on a lot if you got the Japanese game. Just be note that its harder. I don't know why they did that...but they did. In fact, even the Japanese Playstation one is easier just like the orginal game. I can't figure out why the made the American one so hard. Well actually...I stink at games so that may be why its so hard for me. My boyfriend can breeze right through it though.

Tresure doesn't even esist anymore. So yeah....it won't happen. I didn't know some graphics were taken out. The game is still really enjoyable. Extra scene...never noticed. I do know that you can fight the reaper in the PS1 game. But you have to be really really good and never die up to a certain point and answer the questions correctly. Hint, don't show fear and you can answer the questions right.

Comments: While I haven't played the first two games, I did play the third one. It was great, save for some snags, but I was fortunate that you were given an infinite number of lives. I reccomend this one, especially since you'll be having some memories with this..

Of course it deserves attention. I never got to own the game but I want to. Both my boyfriend and I have played the game and agree that its got great gameplay. Storyline isn't too great to us...but gameplay is super fun. I wonder if its in the $9.99 discount ben at Gamestop yet. (Yeah, thats how cheap I am. I still got to buy NiGHTS and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity soon.)

Chrono Trigger is often overlooked. Most people don't even know about it. Except for people like us.

You're joking, right? To this day Chrono Trigger has sold over 2 million copies. Some of the games others here have mentioned were lucky to sell even a fourth of that. Overlooked, Chrono Trigger is not. If anything it's one of the most successful games of its generation.

Well, from my experience in the matter, very few people know about it. And even though it isn't a 'cult' game, it still deserves some recognition as a good game that people should play.

Ok...I am confused. What makes a game a 'cult' game? How come a game that popular does not have cult of fans, yet NiGHTS does? I don't think I understand the meaning. Though...it is always funny to hear everyone talk about NiGHTS having a cult fanbase. Even the gameing magazines reconize that. lol
