Did no one read my post?
1. They will remake Klonoa 2 if Klonoa for the Wii gets a good reception AND if that one gets good reception they will make Klonoa 3!
2. Hewpoe is not in Klonoa 2 you get a small... alien... mole... dog... thing... idk... here's a pic...

Oh, that little guy is Popka and yes he is a dog. Unlike Huepow, he's pushy, a little mean, has no problem with stealing, and some other things... but he'll either rub off on you or make you hit him. I just hope that if a Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil remake is in the works, they find a really good voice actor for the King of Sorrow.

I did indeed finally buy Klonoa 1 on Wii. I wasnt going to buy a Ps1 for it but now I dont have to.
I managed to beat it recently and I have to say it is every bit as enjoyable as 2 was. I think the platforming/level design in the first one is superior thougH I dont like the villains as much as I liked Tat. The bosses are inspired and I really loved fighting them. I also dont play the game in any lnguage other than Phantomile. It just feels wrong to play it any other way. Its too weird. The ending I found to be really sappy, but great. Overall I really love the Klonoa series for advancing the platforming genre so that Nintendo and Sega didnt have to do it all by themselves. I wish more companies would try, but it seems as though the stupid popularity of FPS games has all but killed platforming. At least I have my Klonoa. Thank you Namco for allowing us Wii owners to enjoy Klonoa. I doubt the game sold well enough to merit a sequel unfortunately. Platformers just dont sell these days unless they are attached to Mario or Sonic.

Hideo Yoshizawa, the executive director/producer of the Klonoa series has stated the if the series was well received, he is willing to remake Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil for the Wii, and will likely make a Klonoa 3 afterwards, to develop the characters.

*gasp* Yeeees! I never played the original. I have the Wii-make, Klonoa 2 (Stepping Wind!!), and have played the 2 US GBA games Empire of Dreams and Dream Champ Tournament. Klonoa Heroes...well, that's still an issue.

Love that other Kaze no Klonoa fans are here....too bad there's no lengthy fanfiction on the two. >< (I will solve that crisis! ....One day. >>;)

I have to say, the ending to the Wii-make...almost tore my heart out. If I a bit more soft-hearted, paid attention...and didn't watch a live stream of the game's ending before beating my own copy (T_T) then it probably would have had a better impact. As well, it didn't seem dramatic enough (unlike the original which ended up pulling on my heart more).

Stepping Wind is my favorite song right now... (Anyone else want to play Capcom X Namco just to play as Klonoa and Guntz? XP)

I thought the ending in the original Door to Phantomile was more effective, too (I saw on YouTube). I think it's the little things, like how Klonoa is smaller and looks younger so you feel more sorry for him, because the younger the child the more people instinctively want to shelter them (usually). And Klonoa's expression when the portal first opens and he starts being dragged is like "What?" kinda glazed over in shock, while in the Wii version he doesn't have quite that look.

I doubt the game sold well enough to merit a sequel unfortunately. Platformers just dont sell these days unless they are attached to Mario or Sonic.

Yeah, it hasn't even sold nearly as many copies as JoD, and if JoD's considered a commercial failure...It makes me sad. It's a good-quality, fun game, too, that you can tell had a lot of effort put into it.

Klonoa2 on Ps2 didnt sell very well either, soo Im kind of curious how many units Namco expected to sell of the remake.
