Either way, more time for development and polishing is ALWAYS a plus. And, really, there's no point in worrying too much over something we can't really control. Or, say, making more worries then needed.

This is great news! Also ties in with something someone else told us.
Goodtimes.

Don't be, because that's not how it works. 50% is basically the core gameplay and the general structure of the overall game. At that stage it's raw though with many inherent bugs. Development gets a little more speedy after that. This includes bug-testing, object placement, scrapping, a slight change of design and other means of polish. JoD is most likely in its late beta stages as I post this.
I'm agreeing with you on that; Especially due to the fact that JoD was already playable to some standards.

I was planning to buy/steal on import anyway >.> There's no way in hell I'm waiting an extra month while someone else gets to play it lolll.

Replying to a few earlier posts first:
The Q1 2008 was confirmed by SEGA of Europe, so that's what your European releasedate's looking like right now.
Also, as Martijngamer (my partner in crime and fiance who's been grabbing the exclusives with me) has stated, we'll contact SEGA of America within the next couple days to inquire about the American releasedate.
Going off from that and agreeing with TRiPPY: I'm importing. You see I'm originally from the States and my Wii's American anyway, and before I left I placed pre-orders on big titles like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, etc. So no matter what happens in Europe, I'm covered. Advice: make a good friend in the US.

So is your Wii chipped or something? I thought the Wii was region locked, it's just the handhelds that aren't.

Pros: SEGA has more time to work on the game and get rid of some bugs, it won't have to keep up with Mario (AGAIN!!!), and just the thrill just making up what's gonna happen 'till the game comes out. Oh, and it gives you guys something to do for the time being .
Cons:. . . . Ah, more waiting. That about sums it up.
YAY!! More positives than negatives! If you have anything to add, please go ahead and do so.

I wonder if in this time they will also make a standalone expansion pack, sort of like Christmas NiGHTS...Thanks, but i dont know how to do that...

This was gonna be the best christmas, with mario galaxy, NiGHTS and brawl!
I really, really, really, really hope it was delayed for the right reason (to make it better) and not for the wrong reasons (1. to hoard it and release it when there would be a game drought -Q1 2008- and 2. to avoid mario galaxy and brawl impact on its sales)

But anyway I actually hope that it's real. I among many many of you guys and other fans out there don't want this game to end up a big flop.
Not a whole lot of positive comments on that article though

I am concerned, however, that the first quarter release date could cost the game quite a lot of publicity and sales, which – let's face it – is what we need for SEGA to continue making NiGHTS games.
For me, the best news to hear would be that the game has been delayed to the third or even forth quarter of 2008. In addition to perfecting the existing design, SEGA would have time to expand the game with additional content; ideally, the quality of the game would then generate positive press buzz and sales, motivating SEGA to continue making NiGHTS sequels.
On the other hand, it is possible that the first quarter release of Journey of Dreams could intentionally heighten the surprise of a subsequent "special" forth quarter release...
But seriously, I want a holiday release for Journey of Dreams, even if it's the holiday of 2008. With the amount of mainstream press that this game has received so far, I wouldn't be surprised if SEGA weren't motivated to release a third NiGHTS game until 2019.

I can safely say that at least 75% of the people who commented were high school dropouts. No, correction, junior high dropouts. Really, most people who commented couldn't even write a legible sentence, so their opinions really aren't worth anyone's time.Eww...Look at those comments...
We all know that true gamers will call this game one of their favorites.....

That is probably true. However, what are the majority of game players out there? Are they the narrominded people or the openminded ones?I can safely say that at least 75% of the people who commented were high school dropouts. No, correction, junior high dropouts. Really, most people who commented couldn't even write a legible sentence, so their opinions really aren't worth anyone's time.

Also, there are more true gamers out there then you may realize. Heck, I went into the gamestop last week and said, "I am probably the only one in this place reserving NiGHTS." But then the guy at the counter told me he had reserved it too. What was even more funny was when I was talking to my boyfriend about the only reason NiGHTS actually failed was because hardly anyone liked the Saturn. But the guy at the conter was under the desk getting something and we could hear this tiny little voice from there say, "I liked the Saturn..." lol The fans exist, but they are spread out vastly.
(Although I still can't get over the Raido Shack guy who still owns a Satrun and loves it yet never even heard of NiGHTS! The Heck?! Is that possible?!)

Eh, I wouldn't pay attention to those comments. That said, less bashing, more on-topic.
Agreed. I'm positive half of them are trolls, anyway .
Any hardcore video game fan will right away say "NiGHTS. That game's a classic."! I know that they will. I'm a hardcore gamer, and NiGHTS is my favorite game of all time. Graphic wh0res and people who buy games because they look awesome will most likely call NiGHTS silly and frilly. They need a good paraloop in the face. Or privates. Either one will do 8D!

Those kids are just narrow-minded lamos thats into Kill! KIll! Kill! Why do we care what they think anyway? They need to get over their homophobia and play games with actual color.
We all know this game will be a true work of art and full of creativity.
