My not-so-random JoD-related thought:

I like "Into Dreams..." more. :<

I truly feel that JoD, for as long as it took to come out, is far too short. There's not nearly enough unlockables, and the ending sucks/is confusing.

I liked the gameplay, and the majority of the story. The voice acting was good, and a lot of the missions were fun. Still, I hope Sega gives this another shot, and makes NiGHTS a trilogy.

Hopefully, they'll make the next NiGHTS longer, with more things to do, and more unlockables.

So I got JoD for Christmas. Which to me was freaking amazing, because I mistakenly thought it had gotten pushed back again and told my mom not to look for it.

As I'd gotten 7 (yes, 7) new games for Christmas, it took me until now to get to this one. I'd heard complaints about the controls... I'm guessing those complaints are centered around the Wiimote. I myself am using the classic controller.

My thoughts? X3 It's like riding a bike. You just don't forget!

owww D: ... not to be asking a stupid question (I'm a rencent new NiGHTS fan) but what's a Mepian? I Know Nightopians and even some characters from the first game I never played but that's all I know ^^;

Mepians are a cross between Marens and Nightopians.

The feeding system is so flawed.. when you have a gang of Nightopians together and one is knocked out, getting to them to feed them is infuriating, since you can't target a pian or pick up a K.O'd one, you have to kind of walk into it and shuffle it out of the mix. If we get NiGHTS 3 with another My Dream, this must be fixed with either a different feeding interface or a pian selection system.

Also, why didn't they keep the arrow pointing to NiGHTS for the Chase Missions? It was helpful so you didn't get lost while wandering around.

As much as I am not for a third main NiGHTS game I'm going to have to want a new one now. If the port doesn't leave Japan I would love another NiGHTS but minus the voice acting, platforming, and numerous cutscenes.

I have this strong optimistic feeling that the NiGHTS remake/port will hit places outside of Japan. Then again maybe it's just my wishful thinking taking over again. Then again it could be having reinstalled windows Xp about ten times tonight. I need sleep.

Ok, having finished it with all A's and all dreamdrops, I have to say I fell a tad let down. I do enjoy playing it, it's just compared to NiGHTS into Dreams this feels very rushed.
I don't like the new dreamers. Helen sounds like there's something loose in her head most of the time and Will doesn't know what accent he wants.
It feels like NiGHTS Adventure 2 battle... If SEGA had just stuck to the formula of the original and not had those bird chases instead of ideya capture it would've been nice. As it is it just feels like somethings missing.

I know it's sad that I just now noticed this, but does anyone else notice that, in this screenie from the fankit, we can see NiGHTS's arm through his sleeve?



He gots some slender arms, yes. X3 But I think most people and myself could tell that from the way his other sleeve folds around it before now, so I'm thinking this observation's kinda stupid of me to point out. ^^;
