Since comics went online years ago, its time they deserved a little piece of the forum pie.

My favorite comix are Irregular Webcomic, Ctrl-Alt-Del, Alien Loves Predator, PIXEL, and 8-bit Theater. Talk about online leetness!

For me it's the following two.

Penny Arcade - The comics are hit or miss for me, but at least Gabe and Tycho are consistent in updates.
VG Cats - They're funny as hell, but waiting for an update is a practice in masochism.

Yeah, loads of webcomics are lame, but some can be funny. My ones...

xkcd- Swings between absolute briliance and just bizzare or cute geekery. And all in the writing cause it's just stick figures.
Achewood- I love Phillipe. It's great but only becomes funny really once you've read a lot of it.
Perry Bible Fellowship- Possibly the best web comic ever. Surreal and very funny.
Lackadaisy- Absolutely beautifully drawn, it manages to do anthro cats without being 'Furry'. Instead it's an awesome story of prohibition America and mobsters, that is both funny and engaging. Well worth having a look at.

I like Penny Arcade and VG Cats, but I don't check on them too often.

'The Cobra Unit' and 'Cyanide and Happiness' have got to be my favorites of all time. No kidding.

There was one called Loserz that used to be good. Now, I dunno.
It was about three high school kids, two male nerds (one chubby and the other one skinny), and a somewhat slutty bisexual girl.

Hasn't been updated in months, sadly.

http://captainsnes.com/ A webcomic of a descendant of Captain N, but it's hardly cheesy. Extremely vulgar, and a bit of a loser, Alex Williams is dropped into the worlds of various SNES games. A little slow at first, but it starts picking up on the main story relatively quickly. Updates are a little spazzy, but it's an excellent read. Up to 551 pages as of this post.

I read Questionable Content, Stuff Sucks and Order of the Stick.

I had a period where I'd read 10-15 webcomics at once, but lately I haven't had the time. *tear*

total awesomeness. also, the old(i'd say, first 500 to 600 or so) comics of megatokyo(www.megatokyo.com) were funny, but it's gone downhill, very much so.

..No one's mentioned Earthsong or Inverloch yet. Huh. I love Inverloch, the art is just...wow, and the story is pretty good too. Inverloch is over and done, but a new comic, The Phoenix Requiem will be started soon. Earthsong has pretty good art, and the story's kinda weird, but it's new and interesting.

I do enjoy Order of the Stick, but my dad even moreso - he's an old school tabletop gamer! X3 I like Girl Genius from time to time, but I get so overwhelmed by all the new characters they crank out...

VG Cats is hilarious fun, and same with PVP Online and Nodwick, but my favorite webcomic of all has to be Kid Radd. Basic stuff, but it's all in good fun, and I can't help the feeling of nostalgia every time I read it. And the main characters could pass for Elliott and Claris so easily..! O_o

I might have already mentioned this, but a really good comic is Irregular Webcomic, especially for those of you that like crazy puns and science-related humor. It updates everyday, so there is always a comic to read the next day, and many of the comics come with helpful annotations that help you understand the joke as well as the process of making them. Here is the link:

http://www.irregularwebcomic.net/

For any Half-Life 2 fans out there in the forums, check out Concerned: The Half-Life and Death of Gordon Frohman. It is prolly some of the funniest HL2-related humor out there. Here is the link:

I only just found this one, and have spent the past few hours going through the archives, but this one comic, Slow Wave, is fast becoming a fave.

Basically, people send in a description about a dream that they've had, and the artist draws out a short comic based on one every week. The results range from odd to downright hysterical, in my opinion. XD

Sorry if I'm bumping a topic that's a bit on the old side, but I didn't think it deserved a thread of its own with this one sitting here.

I want to recommend The Zombie Hunters. The title makes it obvious what it is about, and it's somewhat gory but awesome. It recently put up a page about different types of zombies, and it offers some interesting ideas about them.

'Ozy and Millie' is great, philosophical, witty and generally amusing

'Looking for Group' is loosely based on WoW though quite violent at times (And it has an original AMV!)

Oh and one I just found 'The Dreamland Chronicles'

I just found a webcomic this weekend that has quickly become my favorite on the internet.

Lil Formers

It's adorable and hilarious, but I think some Transformers G1 knowledge is a must to get some of the humor.

Let's see here...

VG Cats
(Of course!) :D
Altermeta
Humanoid Dragons -- it's drawn very well, and has a good deal of humor within a serious plot -- but doesn't update often...
Stage-Select
Which is a Megaman comic, but stars Bass/Forte as the main character. Do NOT eat or drink anything while reading it -- trust me. :P
DMFA
or 'Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures' -- This comic is furry, humanoid creatures thrown into interesting situations, the humor is refreshingly original!

And I've read the The Dreamland Chronicles and Lil Formers, too. I used to read this brilliant comic called 'Slightly Schizophrenic' -- but the authoress went away to redefine her art style and never came back.

I have a few, actually. Here they are!

The Slackerz ---- I LOVE these guys to pieces. Go read their awesome stuff!

Applegeeks ---- They're practically a classic.

Comedity ---- Incredibly imaginative and very well drawn.

Red VS Blue ---- Never a dull moment. Ever.

F@NB0Y$ ---- Genius videogame humor. Makes me laugh every time. (Oh and read issue 173 while you're at it.)

Lackadaisy ---- Undisputably the most beautiful webcomic anywhere.

That's it for me. XD Gosh but I love reading these things.

Misfile - When a pot smoking angel makes a tiny little mistake in the filing system, two lives are thrown back two years and are changed in ways they never saw coming. Now he's sent down to solve resolve this "misfile" if he plans to get back into the good graces of the Big Guy. must if you like comics that poke fun at the whole angel concept.

Abnormal Gravity - A GOLD MINE for your MMClassic PWP crack.

9th Elsewhere - "Seventeen year old Carmen Cinea is a writer, or at least thinks she could be if she found the right story to tell. Until then, she runs away from any foster home she's placed in, having deserted eight already. Eiji Miyake is a scatter-brained professional muse hiding from his troubles behind a smile. On his second strike of a three-strike policy with the O.R.M.Y! (Organized Response Musing Yes!) agency, Eiji has been assigned to visit Carmen in her dreams. As if inspiring her wouldn't be difficult enough already, Eiji accidentally loses the key that unlocks Carmen's subconscious and allows her to wake back up!" - Definitely a must read for all those psychology buffs out there.

The Seraph-Inn - Actually home to TWO webcomics, one finished and one now on-going.
First up is Inverloch - "The story of Inverloch centers around a young man named Acheron, from a horned wolf-like race called the da'kor. After a chance encounter with an elf, he finds himself setting out on a seemingly innocent mission - that of trying to locate Kayn'dar, another elf who has been missing for the past twelve years.

Meeting up with new friends and companions along the way, he quickly begins to learn that the world is not quite the peaceful place he believed it to be - embroiled with prejudice, racial segregation, and hidden danger. And the truth behind Kayn'dar's disappearance is something none of the party would ever expect..."
- A lovely fantasy read with simply gorgeous artwork. A bit of a cross between high detailed Westernized comics and the more simplistic expressionism of the Eastern style of anime.

Next under Seraph-Inn is the newly started Phoenix Requiem - "In a cold, industrial-era land, a wounded man stumbles into the quiet and humble town of Esk. Fleeing a past of troubles which he would rather forget, he quickly befriends Anya, a young lady struggling to become a doctor in spite of the disapproval of her family and friends of this distinctly non-traditional path.

When the old and the weak begin dying of an horrific and unnatural plague, and the souls of the dead begin to wander the streets, people begin to pray that the magic-bringing spirits of old - imprisoned by traitors - will finally break free in this time of need."
- Stunning artwork with a whole new story.

Gunnerkrigg Court - Neutral ground isn't always as neutral as it seems. It follows the mediator Antimony Carver and her experiences in the strange school called Gunnerkrigg Court. A nice little blend of sci-fi, fantasy, and plenty of drama to go around.

The Dreamer - "Beatrice "Bea" Whaley seems to have it all; the seventeen year old high school senior is beautiful, wealthy and the star performer of the drama club. And with her uncle's connections to Broadway theater, the future looks bright ahead of her. Little does she know that her future might actually be brighter behind her.

Bea begins having vivid dreams about a brave and handsome soldier named Alan Warren--a member of an elite group known as Knowlton's Rangers that served during the Revolutionary War. Prone to keeping her head in the clouds, Bea welcomes her nightly adventures in 1776; filled with danger and romance they give her much to muse about the next day. But it is not long before Beatrice questions whether her dreams are simply dreams or something more. Each night they pick up exactly where the last one ended. And the senses--the smell of musket shots and cannons, the screams of soldiers in agony, and that kiss--are all far more real than any dream she can remember."
- For those who like a history and soap mix are in for a treat with this comic.

Edepth Angel - "The year is 2177 AD. Large areas on the surface of earth have become deserts. Human seek resources and energy from the oceans, developed underwater cities, and started large scale enviromental projects. Seon Robotic Engineering Corp. is one of the leading companies in robot, cyborg developments. Its famed mech pilot Lien Lei is seeking for a new Techno Nurse for cyborgs after firing eight nurses. To his surprise, his new nurse Angel Love is a girl who could be mistaken as a pre-school student. Morever, the energetic nurse declared “I’ll save the cyborg’s world!” on the first day of work... “ She is out of her mind... ”"

Aaaaaaaaaaand, that's all I really have time to share at crack-of-dawn : 30, and I've only touched on a few of my favorites.

Let's see...a favorite of mine that hasn't been said yet...
Mundane Nirvana. It doesn't update regularly anymore but it's got some great college-freshman-geek awesomeness.

Netjeru, a comic about the ancient Egyptian gods (they have livejournals!) but it hasn't been updated in a year.

Also, Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic. It's been my latest summer website-browsing hook.
