I feel that always keeping a small film of mysteriousness around a main character by deliberately omitting their voice adds to the experience. But, since games are becoming increasingly more like movie productions these days (played or seen Halo 3 yet?) that just isn't going to happen anymore. I'm honestly wondering if there'll be a way to disable voiceovers in JoD...

because unfortunately todays gamers have been conditioned to like epic, voice acted, movielike games. simpler games like NiGHTS wont get the attention they deserve unless they go with what the market wants. Im just glad Sega didnt give NiGHTS a f*!*ing gun.*sigh* Why must game companies always give their heroes a voice after years of silence...Mario, Sonic, Link, now NiGHTS, and many more I'm too tired to think of.

Yeah, like Shadow the Hedgehog!

Yeah I agree! When NiGHTS had no voice he had like a mysterious persona about him........ but........... now I don't know! >_< But like I said it's going to take some time to get use to that voice on him! ^_^

For some reason, I /love/ that idea! I vote jibberish + subs. At least for Jackle. Oh wait, I forgot..Jackle probably won't be in JoD! DX *sobs* I really hope he is. ;-;

Um...Travis...Link still never talks.
Nintendo isn't suffering from an extreme case of DURRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, remember. And I don't ever recall Mario saying much more than 'Thank you so much-a for a playin' mah game!'

I doubt that adding a voice to NiGHTS will add to its marketability. JoD will attract who it attracts, irregardless of whether or not NiGHTS can speak. I mean, if a person isn't interested in a game about a flying purple dream jester, than making this flying purple dream jester speak in a British accent won't make the person suddenly fall in love with the game.

Victoria Harwood as a voice of NiGHTS in NiGHTS: journey of dreams for wii.
The same voice in Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate
as Sir Integra Fairbrook/Wingates Hellsing voiced by Victoria Harwood.
Victoria Harwood born in UK.
She was a british.
I think?
*thinks about that for a moment, and about how she wanted Alucard's VA for Reala...*
Oh..Well, crap. ._. What's next? Crazeh vampire-Maren..? I'm going to keep thinking of Integra now when I see NiGHTS. D=' I dunno if that's good or bad...
