I also think the owl idea is a bit pants... ahah. I'd have to see it before I made judgement though. But still, it's not exactly original. NiGHTS with a woman's voice... sounds good to me~ Often women's voices are more ambiguous than male so I think it'd be easier to project your own feelings of NiGHTS' gender if the VA is female. The character intros and the main menu sound lovely - I can't wait to see them.

The controls are very smooth and when we asked the SEGA representative playing, he said it was very comfortable and easy to adapt to. He also said you never get bored with the game: there's always more to a level and they expand once you beat them.

Me like. *_*

The way the controls are explained makes me think that stunts are performed via the wiimote motion sensor. ie. Doing a certain movement with the controller will make NiGHTS perform a certain stunt. Maybe we should ask the source to give the representative a sharp shove while he's playing to see how the motion affects the gameplay. ^_^

I'm wondering what gameplay as the children is like as it's not really covered here. What's running round with them like? Has the alarm clock made a return? What about the throwing orbs stuff that has been mentioned?

eee! I'm so excited!! It sounds really good to me!!

As for the female voice, that's fine with me too LoL. His voice was pretty girly in the original X3. But that was the japanese, usually a female-esque voice can fit for a boy or a girl character, that's a little harder to do in English. I'd suggets maybe a child-like voice or the slightly dream-like, contorted voice, Like Reala's, but as one person mentioned not as sinister X3.

So far all the questions I had were answered by that e-mail. Exceot for this one I think; Can you ONLY play with the nunchuk? Can you use the classic controller on it? Cause I only touched a Wii's controller's like... once... LoL and since the controls are similar to the first, I'd feel more comfortable playing it the "classic" way and given the option to use the nunchuk if I'm up to it X3

-Also, I too am curious if they reacted to the Sega Project o_O. Alot of thoughts, opinions, hopes, suggestions etc went into that thing ^^; some feedback would be lovely

P.S. Don't hate on Mr. Owl XD Owls are cool........ like the one in the old tootsie roll commercials X3 LoL

I don't know why everyone's crying about the female voice. In animation, games and all the like, male children are usually voiced by women. Look at Bart Simpson for example. Women are more versatile because they lack one burdening appendage us guys have.

Heh, didn't even think of that. Bart does sound like a boy though, and the informant remarked that the voice was very female sounding. I have no problem with the female voice personally, I just hope it doesn't sound too much like a female... if you know what I mean.

I would like to know how the Wiimote only controls work, how the music sounds, how the game is coming along, what happened to the persona masks, and whats going to happen with the kids platforming levels I heard about. ;)

Well a notable androgynous voice is Haku from Naruto (my favorite character and the only reason why I never watched past that arc). Such a voice sounded very female and was voiced by a woman, but Haku was a teenaged boy. I'm pretty sure the have access to such voice talents in other parts of the world, so, unless you think NiGHTS must sound like a boy, you shouldn't fear anything.

I think I'm rambling, I'm too tired to tell, this information made my heart jump. ;)

I was going to say that but I got beat top it XD

I wonder if they will add anymore Ideya, that may not make sense but I would die for purple Ideya *_* Lol, purple is the sex.

Hmm question question...

Still curious if A-life or some kind of Chao like thing will come back in this. I never got a chance at A-life so I hope this has something like it. I like how Chao world runs alot more only because they like, remade it 4 times if you include A-life XD. I lurff breeding Chao.

So yeah, obviously my question being, will A-life come back? ;)

Heeeee~~! This just makes me all the more excited about the game. That is some good news, indeed. I'm glad to hear they haven't changed much about the gameplay too, and that they got a girl to play NiGHTS rather than a boy. I eagerly wait to see what the music will be like too. X3 Thanks for sharing this~!

*_________* Omg everything is sounding so wonderful right now. <3's~ Kweee~~~ X3 I love the fact that the levels expand.~

I do have a couple questions though that I don't think have been asked yet. I wondered if there were going to be any unlockables like there were in Christmas NiGHTS? Also what happened with the weather channel feature? Will the weather of the game still match the weather in your area? Thank you person who is there! :3 It's so wonderful of you to be sending us all of this new info. *luffs*

YAAAAAAAAAY!!!! I'm glad that SEGA didn't screw it up like I thought they would!! *pats SEGA people on the back* ;). All these new details have me shaking, I'm actually haveing a hard time typing this up!

As for NiGHTS being voiced by a girl.........depends. I've always seen NiGHTS as a dude, but as long as the lady doesn't make him sound too feminine I'm alright with it. Actually, I might be too interested in the game to care :P.

Aaaaand of COARSE there's an OWL telling you what to do! This game seems to have a lot of emphisis on birds...if it's because of all the flight I think it's a little stereotypical....Hey, what if the owl dude's a boss in disguise?!?! Reala perhaps??? Just a thought, no biting my head off.

And I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing how the first little scenes comes out.

Well, I got high school tomarrow and I don't wanna fall asleep in science....I do have more to say, so I'LL BE BACK!! *&^%$*

This is awesome. I can't wait to play this game on my Wii!!

Which brings up a question: how is NiGHTS going to be controlled in the game? (Sorry for being such an idiot if my question has already been answered by an earlier statement somewhere) I don't really understand how the player uses the Wii Remote.

And for the fact that NiGHTS is voiced by a girl, I don't really mind. I mean, I am a Tails fan (from the Sonic series), and he's been voiced by a girl for most of the Sonic games. As long as the voice suits NiGHTS well, I'm ok with it.

YEAHH!!! This game's gonna rAwk!!!

The female voice doesn't bother me at all, I always thought of NiGHT's voice to be a bit girly in NiGHTS lolol. I'm just glad to hear the game is like the original, and that they havn't completly spoiled it yet.

**frustration**

I wrote a huge long reply to all your questions that took me an hour, and as soon as I posted it the internet got dropped. When I logged back in, the post wasn't completed and it erased everything I wrote... Wireless internet makes me sad sometimes.

I don't have time to reply now as I have to get back to the showfloor, but if you can organize your questions for me I'll be able to answer them much quicker and more effectively when I get back later!

Quick news though:

Nintendo has confirmed a November release. If we get an exact date, it's yours.

Also, we will be trying to get controller footage and music, voice, and sound effect recordings today. Wish us luck!

Aww it sounds so cool already ^^ I like the intros for Helen and Will!
And a female VA is fine by me.

Gah I wish I could have gone to the games convention too. But I have no money D:
So I'm glad somebody is there to report for us NiGHTS fans! Thank you!

I'm also keeping my eye on the Games Convention live ticker hopefully they'll mention NiGHTS there ^^ (or Reala! I'm dyeing to see his new look!)

The female voice surprised me, since even though NiGHTS has eyelashes and stuff, most people seem to see NiGHTS as male, presumably including people at Sega. Still, I don't mind at all. Female voices are generally a little more androgynous sounding for me at least, anyway.

When I saw this on the news page I thought it was another 'leak' or something, but eeee! They're showing it! -faints from joy-

-revives- ANYWAY it's a shame there's nothing on the motion-sensing controls ;_; Still, the 'classic' controls or whatever they're called seem easy enough, so oh well.

For some reason I really love the sound of Helen's intro. I dunno, it just sounds good to me, the way the video is described. Will's too, actually. I hope they're shiny and gorgeous like the cutscene...thing... we've seen already. I don't suppose anyone at the event filmed it? =p

Also- is that seven levels PER dreamer? Or what?

Owls, huh? Hahaha. Hey, anyone here got Soul Calibur 3? Yeah. If we get an Owl like that then feel free to start complaining XD

NiGHTS with a female voice is cool because, as many people have said, womens voices are more versitile when compared to a dudes. And, about NiGHTS being male or female - Having a female voice acting him does not make him a female. It, technically, doesn't make him male either. Even Sega themselves have said NiGHTS is neither gender. The original game had a womans voice anyway, even if it was short bursts of 'Aptiva' or whatever the hell he said.
The way NiGHTS used to move and act in the previous game was very feminine, he always has been that way. And even from that old game we still mostly considered him to be a 'he'. I just think the reason NiGHTS looks more feminine now is because we're using today's technology to animate him where as back in '96 we had limitations on what we could make him do. So, all in all, i'm happy NiGHTS has a female voice. I was also going to mention 'Haku' from Naruto as that is a prime example of a really girly boy, lol. Him and NiGHTS should do a song together XD

Glad the 'Alps' level has been mentioned. I was really beginning to wonder where those windmills got to.

The general news we've received has really put a smile on my face. It was only the day before yesterday i was saying i was fed up with trying to find all the bad points about this game and i just wanted to enjoy the fews months leading up to it's release. And now i am. And it feels very bloody good, too.

Shout out to Niraven for getting this information to us so quickly. If those pesky Sega reps won't allow you to record any voice clips from the demo then do what i would do - keep your mobile phone hidden in your sleeve and don't move your arm too much. XD

DAMMIT!!! I MISSED ALL OF THIS INFO CUZ I WAS IN OHIO!!! Well seeing my sister off the college was really important too.

While I was reading I kept cringing for some reason whenever I read "her" when referring to NiGHTS but after I while I got used to it :( Hopefully NiGHTS'll still be a little andro.

No prob with the voice. If NiGHTS had a male voice then most people might see NiGHTS as a male seeing as how NiGHTS doesn't have boobs and has a find of a male torso.

This is pleasing news! Especially since I was worried about gameplay. XD Being so similar to the original, as it was described, is glorious news. <3 The female voice doesn't bother too much, considering the first game. I'm *really* liking how it sounds it's set up. The tutorial bit is cute. XD But yeah... changing levels? WINplz. @_@ That is just too pleasing. Replay value is great, but when the levels are the same, you eventually memorize it. It's like SonicTeam went "You're not allowed to memorize this!" with this one. Eeee, I am pleased. <3

One question I have is: "Do we get to learn any more about Nightmare and Nightopia?"

I have no qualms against NiGHTS having a female voice, after all, having a high voice doesn't automatically equal female. I'm definately looking forward to November, even if I don't have a Wii yet. But still the next big question is what is Reala's voice?
