Off-topic: Anyways, I just noticed something in this picture from the trailer:

It's def. going to be a Helen level because the area in the middle-bottom is a concert hall of some sort. >_>
If this has been mentioned already, don't blame me because I'm slow at recognizing things.

I was thinking that too, plus I haven't seen any 90 degree rings yet.. sh!t, why the hell are they still showing us this early crap?I think the biggest problem, bigger than the new ideya system and the kids shooting is how far apart the score rings are. How on earth are yoy supposed to make links in this level and the Splash Garden one?

Yeah.. one hell of a surprise.. I was pondering this the other day. Like, they're wringing their hands, waiting to BLOW OUR MINDS. I mean, however excited we get just from the screens and brief gameplay, to see some real, full fledged gameplay is a whole other level.Maybe Sega still wants everything to be a suprise :3

The Dream of Desert
After being separated from his beloved father, Will, a once normal young boy, becomes overwhelmed by a crippling sense of loneliness and falls victim to a series of daily nightmares.
Ideya, an idyllic shining light orb, discovers Will’s dreams and transforms them into the beautiful and fantastic desert like world known as Nigthtopia. This dreamlike and desolate world reflects Will’s inner struggle with loneliness as well as his youthful innocence.
Will happens upon a large deserted amusement park, the same park that he and his Father had experienced many happy memories together at. The amusement park is now weathered, decrepit and buried in sand with only a beautiful green beanstalk shooting through the clouds to give Will a sense of hope and purpose beyond his current surrounding and desolation.
Will meets NiGHTS again on his journey through Nightopia and the two of them decide to “dualize†or unite as one and confront the terrible nightmare monsters and ultimately to free NiGHTS.
Nightopia, an immersive world created by dreams, is filled with exciting and intriguing contraptions. At the beginning of the journey, we see a strange lake in the distance and watch it as it fades in and fades out as if it were a mirage. Floating TV sets located in the area launch surreal transformations into lush oasis environments, only to transform back to the dry desert environment once again. While with the oasis environment, rings and mysterious items multiply, but when the desert reclaims its territory, the Nightmarens infest the land. As each dream changes, so does NiGHTS flight pattern.
Some of the adventures that await and challenge Will on his journey include a super-charged trip on the rollercoaster from the amusement park and an extraordinary journey up a beanstalk and through the clouds. In a world of dreams, anything can happen because everything is possible.
We have official Ideya Conformation, and by the sounds of things, they serve a similar purpose.

As for the level, looks great. I will probably turn into the kid just so I can run on the tracks and get on the roller coster like I did with the train in Frozen Bell.

Anyways, yes. The description does sound rather nice, doesn't it? The way the level seems to change really sounds very dreamlike...other than having to bust open TV sets for it to happen, but still. XD;;
And Ideya are back, which is interesting. So what are the point of the keys then? Maybe there is more to a single level than just bursting through and collecting one set of item. It seems they might have given a bit more depth to each level now. This is all interesting stuff.

They're being way too secrative about this game. Dated pics, dodgy interviews, even the trailer barely explains anything.

It seems as though the new game will rely heavily on a story.

...it DOESN'T explain anything...but for some reason, the voice from the trailor reminds me of Richard Nixon from Futurama. I was waiting for him to go 'HAROOOOOOOOOOO!!!'

I wonder if I am the only one that still watches Futurama on Adult Swim and was able to get what you said because of that. lol
Yeah, the trailer is not explaining anything. Hell, I heard more information on the storyline for the next gen Sonic game than what we are getting for this game. I wonder why they are making everything so seceretive.
Sega worker 1: "If we keep it a seceret then people will really want to buy it."
Sega worker 2: "How will they even know about the game if we keep it a seceret? Unless someone actually searches for it they don't even know this game is coming out"
Sega worker 1: "......Do not question my methods!"

You and apparently 500-600 thousand people every Saturday. Unfortunately I can't tell you what it pulls in during weeknights and Sundays (if it's still on Sundays anymore).
