Basically most of this is will be Art in the works still so critiques is something I'm looking forward to.
Don't worry about trying to offend me when critiquing because its nearly impossible... however if you critique in an incorrect manner I may critique you for your critique. (For example if you say that you think the picture is dumb but give no reason why, that would be an incorrect critique.)
I'm multi-talented in art however I'm no where near the best and half of my stuff is freelance without actual teachings.
Anyways the first piece I need help in is this:
*Took down image*
I need an idea on a better background.
I was trying to go for an old paper look but realized I couldn't physically do that...
I also need a better font, if anyone can suggest any different ones or types I would like to hear.
And yes the poem is written by me please help with spell checking and grammarish mistakes. (I'm not that great with writing poems but I like to do it anyhow.) XD

I see no reason to critique any poem as long as there are no grammatical errors. I liked it and the only problem I had was in the 9 line because I had trouble reading the word "saw."
Ok then that would mean it would be a good idea for me to find a more legible font.
(I think I maybe able to make a better background though, that may help in the readability too.)

Anyways, nice poem, but I have to agree that the font is a taaaad difficult to read. :S
"It's better to get your message out in a way that people can see, without any whistles or silver bells that make it seem fancy."
...Don't ask about that.

My scanner is working again!
I'm going to do that poem in my sketch pad with color pencils or something. (And because of that its probably going to take me a veeeeeery long time to finish since I don't have any color pencils at the moment)
Anyways I scanned some stuff from my sketch book and I'm going to post them here with some comments.
Critiquing is ok however some of these pictures will probably never be finished.
Oh yea... I also scan my pictures at ridiculously high resolution, so if anyone that has a problem with that I will fix them for you.
These are from oldest to newest they have been changed so that you may see them a little better because I draw really light. (So light I had to go over most of them so the scanner couldn't see them.) They also been cropped because of their size or other unnecessary drawings surrounding them.
This one was going to be an RP like character but I never finished her, and no she isn't nude...
I draw the body shape first before I draw the clothing on so that I know how it would lay.
*deleted picture*
This one is a little bit hard to explain...
My Cat is like a midget cat so she looks like a kitten, she even acts like one. She some times tries to nurse on my blanks. At this time when I was drawing her she was.
*Deleted picture*
Got bored one day and decided to draw a monster, I never drew muscles or monsters before so I tried both.
This was all by memory and mind. (Memory of what muscles may look like...)
*Deleted picture*
This was something I was just working on and still am.
*Deleted picture*
This is mid process of the picture above I just finished this
Just need to be colored then it will be complete
*Deleted picture*
However it may have slight changes when I get finished XD

On your poem for the old paper look, actually using real paper can be good. Go to the library and get out the oldest books you can find, scan then and then layer them up on photoshop or the like to create some cool aged paper effects.
That sounds like a good idea, hopefully they use and old enough book.
Going along these lines and since you gave me the idea:
I can try to get a white piece of paper (thick) take it to the sink and pour some left over tea on it let it soak until it gets a decent old looking color. And for the edges I can take a lighter to them. I wouldn't know how to dry that without it sticking to stuff or the sink though. :S

Critiques are appreciated
The way I did the line art was intentional but if you guys don't like it tell me.

This idea has been rolling around my head for many a pond many years.
In which case I'm not going to tell much about it other than I was orginaly going to try to make a game for it instead but lack of skill and no job or inablitily for schooling is what has been keeping me back from doing so.
So without further ado I present the main character.
*Picture deleted*
She has no name...
This picture is a quick line art of the original because the original was made on lined paper.
(And last time I made a drawing on lined paper I was yelled at, didn't matter the fact of not having the supplied needed.)
I will be doing a quick color concept however, if someone wants to try to make a better line art for it I will be willing to share the original with you just as long as its to help me. (or tell me how you do your line arting.)
*Picture deleted*
Finished color concept.
If you guys want you can color the line art for this one.
(If you do I wouldn't mind seeing the color version you do.)
Anyways this is a quicky, it wasn't made to be perfect and might be perfected later.
(it was just a quick concept on what the main character looks like.)

god, I LOVE the way you color eyes *0*
Then you like the fact that I decided to show a more detailed view of the eyes. XD
*Picture deleted*
The color is based on my own eye color.
Which is my most favorite feature of myself although I must say that I can't really tell what color my eyes are. X_X
(Some say green others say blue...)

Can't wait to see more of your stuff!
Oh yeah! Ekairi, if you want to know how to get wet paper out of a sink without ripping it, try this: set the paper on a flat surface with holes, like a screen before you soak the paper. That way when you drain it, the paper stays flat and can dry without actually picking up the paper itself. Just move the screen about. I have some cooking screens at home that I use for draining veggies and noodles. If your family has any of those, they'd be perfect.

OOh! I liked the catgirl. I hope you color that. The eyes on the first girl you colored, with the skirt? Spooky, I loved that. If you want a critique on it, I'd try adding joints to the fingers on her. Best way to learn artwork is to simply experiment and see what works. Though sneaking peeks over someone's shoulder while they draw is fun, too. Mwahaha.

Cat girl? What cat girl? @_@
Unless your talking about the drawing I made of my cat... (Real living cat...)
Anyways thanks for the advice with the paper.
I was really having problems with it ripping. X_X
Best method I ever found for "old" or rather ancient looking paper was to tear the edges from it all the way round to give a rough edge (try and use thick paper so you get a kind of double edge with fibers visible) and then use a hot plate on an oven (we have an AGA at home that was perfect) and being VERY careful rest the paper on it and move around as necessary, and the whole thing starts turning a lovey light brown. Then just hold the edges to it to darken those further.
Perfect for pirate maps as a kid, hehe.
I'm a little afraid of using an oven plate.
I would like a little more control of my fires. X_X
(Other than that with the type of burners we have it would be more like a crispy rather than a light brown.)
Either way thanks for the advice.

By catgirl I meant the RP toon you drew. It's posted right above the kitty. She's got feline style ears.
Sorry for getting to this late but oOoooOOH
Shes actually suppose to be a fox character.
I'm really not into furry types someone just suggested I do a fox human type character because I didn't know what to make.

Ah! That explains why you didn't realize which drawing I meant. It's a good drawing, I favored that one in particular. I actually wondered if you intended to eventually color that.

Possibly, you might want to find me on DA and watch to see if I do.
Might be awhile.

Cute! Wonderful eyes, as per usual. The face is colored very nicely, too. I like the freckles and the highlights
With the hair, the highlights could be a little more zig-zaggy to give that look of strands of hair.. that sort of eliminates a little need for the dark strands of hair. For the darker parts of hair, it's more effective to color in 'chunks' that would be darker due to shadow.
Hope that makes sense..

Absolutely and it makes better sense too.
I will try doing more experiments later though.
(Didn't save that particular one in layers so I will have to do it again.)

This isn't the final but I'm giving an idea of what the back of the cards may look like.
Has been watermarked with my name to try to prevent art thievery not that I think anyone would here.
So naturally try to imagen it without the name there.
This was an approximate total of 14 layers of work including the watermark.
And again just to reiterate this isn't really a final piece of work.

If this picks up then its very possible that I will become the official graphic designer.
(I just love it when possible money making related things just fall into my lap. )
Anyhow the guy seems to exstreamly impressed with what I have so far.
(Father mentioned me and there are no other real competitors for the position meaning its pretty much official if it picks up. Gave him a sample and he called me a life saver and said he would pay about $100 a picture. He has asked for about 5 pictures at the moment and I'm almost finished with them. )
Wow...
