I think it's because of what Shinaraz wrote about in her last post: the extra chip Sega inserted into Saturn. Why didn't they port this game to DC?

The single problem I have with playing "NiGHTS Into Dreams" on emulator are slow FMVs
You actually get FMVs?

If FMVs are playing slowly then I'd suggest your CD drive isn't quick enough.
If you use SSF, try turning "Auto Field Skip" off on the Screen tab of the options. Might help if things are slow, but for me it makes the game play at about 1.5x normal speed. Fun but a bit too fast, lol.

My hope is that they expand on the number of FMVs in JoD.I don't get FMVs....but I use Cassini so yeah. That might have to do with it.

Hopefully not toooooo many FMVs and if they do no loading screens between each FMV. Man that was so annoying in Sonic 360/PS3.

Agreed. I'm supposed to enjoy them, not go "Another one? I only played one minute!"Hopefully not toooooo many FMVs and if they do no loading screens between each FMV.

I'm not too fond of cut scenes myself.

If the gameplay sucks, (which it WON'T) then just load the game up with tons of FMV.Yeah..I'd rather have more gameplay. It's more healthy..but only if its GOOD gameplay.
Then it might be more like an interactive movie....

Heck, Satourne runs like crap, and Yabause won't start NiGHTS full stop.
But no matter if NiD is on an emu or a real Saturn, it's still NiGHTS.

Anyway, back to the original topic. :D
I probably failed on Gillwig the first time I played against him, because I was like, what, 6 years old? XD

How exactly can one manage to play a NiGHTS emu on a comp? It seems like it would be impossible to play it properly using a keyboard...
Keyboard?

I had a saturn emulator, only downloaded it cause my memory card wasn't working right.
Oh. Reala57, all you need is a special lithium battery to fix your memory card on your Saturn 8D!
I can go get instructions if you want 83.

Keyboard??? PFFFFTTTT That's what the Xbox 360 controller is for. At least it's got the analogue triggers and two analogue thumbsticks.
To Reala57, the Saturn uses a CR2032 battery, just like those found on PC motherboards and they can be found in camera shops and supermarkets.

I tried out a Saturn emulator once, Sonic 3D Blast and Sonic Jam worked perfectly right off the disc, so I tried NiGHTS, and it went so ungodly slow, it wasn't even funny. The music was playing at full speed, but it was running at about 5 frames per minute. It was insane. I'm happy with my Saturn, anyway...
What emu were you using, and also what's the specs of your computer?
And trust me, NiGHTS is a very graphical intensive game.

Looks like it runs great to me.Here's NiGHTS running on my laptop. I had a game of NiGHTS when I was on my way home on the train because carring a Saturn while on the train is rather awkward.

Smoothest Saturn emulator I've ever seen in my life. It's as if everything is perfect.
