Batman. He could be stopped by a single bullet. But good luck with that.
Batman is definately the f*!*ing coolest character ever. I have an ongoing argument with ma friend about wther Batman or superman would win in a fight. we all know it's Batman, so why argue eh?

Umm... I'd probably go with Calvin and Hobbes
“I think we dream so we don't have to be apart so long. If we're in each other's dreams, we can be together all the time.” - Hobbes
“Life is like topography, Hobbes. There are summits of happiness and success, flat stretches of boring routine, and valleys of frustration and failure.” - Calvin
"Calvin: Help me (hic) get (hic) rid of (hic) these darn (hic) hic (hic) hiccups!
Hobbes: How?
Calvin: (hic) Scare me.
Hobbes: Our oceans are filled with garbage, we've created a hole in the ozone layer that's frying the planet, nuclear waste is piling up without any safe way to get rid of it...
Calvin: (hic) I mean surprise me (hic).
Hobbes: That doesn't?! Boy, you're cynical..."
or just about anyone from classic Beano's (Gnash!)
Manga wise Tohru Honda, one of the nicest characters I've ever seen
- Madfish
There's enough quotes in this post already, so no lyrics this time ><

Moe: I'm gonna pound you at recess, Twinky.
Calvin: You'd better be nice to me, Moe.
Moe: Haw! Why?
Calvin: Because someday my tax dollars will be paying for your prison cell.
POW calvin gets punched
Calvin: My whole problem is my lips move when I think.
Newspaper comics at their best!

Specifically, the John Byrne version from the Man of Steel, who lasts until about the year 2000, I think.
Whereas other versions of Superman are like your dad or something, that particular version seems more like a cool big brother who has a hot girlfriend/wife, a cool job, and who everybody likes, even if he is a little too goody-two shoes.
And for Manga... I'll have to say... the other Bakura, from Yu-Gi-Oh. Yu-Gi-Oh gets a bad rap because of the combined efforts of 4Kids and that Magic: the Gathering ripoff, but It's one of my favorite manga. And Yami Bakura is the Guy.

Mhmm.. I prefer the characterizations for the Joker in "Arkham Asylum" better. (Even though it's not exclusively Joker-tastic. He is a major character/plot point in it.)The Joker. What would Batman be without his psychotic clown counterpart? A brooding man in tights beating up thugs on a night to night basis. Also, read The Killing Joke.
Manga ~ Hmmmm... This is hard, but I'd have to say Light from Death Note. I just really like his characterizations.
Kaito Kuroba from Magic Kaitou is a close second. (Have they officially translated that into english yet? I can't find anything. *sad*)
Western Comics ~ Dream. God, I love those comics. The Sandman comics are some of my favourites. (And it's incorporated with my favourite comicverse, DC, as well.)
(Joker's my favourite villain, but not my favourite character of all time.)
And just because, I ADORE the manhwa "Les Bijoux"'s main villain, Diamond. (Manhwa's separate... dammit.)

Western Comics ~ One of EC's GhouLunatics. The Crypt-Keeper, Vault-Keeper, and Old Witch are hilarious, scary, and vital to the stories (they narrate) in the horror comics. They also provide horrible puns and humourous ancedotes, and are the very escence of EC.
Manga ~ I love "Pita-Ten," no I'd have to say Nya-Chan, the demon who is disgused as a cat. I even made a Nya-Chan plushie!

Comic wise, I'm saying Spiderman or Superman. Too bad it's not cartoons, or I'd have to say Justice League's version of Martian Man Hunter.

Ichigo Kurosaki because he's got a lot of ambition.
Sonic the Hedgehog because he's carefree.
Rorshach because I agree with some of his ideals.
Kazuma Kuwabara because he never gives up.
I know. Sh***y reasons really but whatever I like em.
