Reala's Voice Actor
#1

In the NiGHTS VA thread, Zero-Shift recommended Scott McNeil. I approve. Any voice actor who could play both Duo Maxwell (Gundam Wing) and Wolverine (X-Men: Evolution) definitely has the range to voice Reala.
Any other suggestions?

How about Richard Hayworth? He voiced Legato Bluesummers and Vicious. And Kenshin.

Whoever did the voice for the first game would be good. :3
I had someone in mind, but forgot. When I remember, I'll post.

I didn't like the voice Reala had from the old game. I mean, the laugh and other sound effects sounded ok, but when he spoke...
I hope they don't use someone who kinda sounds like Marilyn Manson. Yikes!

Agreed. The fact that we still don't know for sure what Reala's saying in NiD is proof enough that he needs a new and proper voice actor.I didn't like the voice Reala had from the old game. I mean, the laugh and other sound effects sounded ok, but when he spoke...

My next suggestion is Paul Dobson. The man did Naraku of Inuyasha, for crying out loud. Then there's Folken of Escaflowne, Matrix of Reboot, and Juggernaut of X-Men: Evolution. Clearly, the guy has a history of voicing badasses. This guy gets my vote.

Paul Dobson's Folken voice can melt your soul which in my opinion would make him more appropriate for Wizeman than Reala. Still, I think he could pull it off. Besides, I think David Kaye would be the best voice for Wizeman.

Yes....yes I am. He sounded really weird when he spoke in the last game. @*@%^? I hope Reala doesn't turn out sounding fruity.
Reala: "Oh My god! NiGHTS is that you?! My your looking fabulous...and delicious."
NiGHTS: O.O
But thats going to an extreme. Not all gay people sound like that. Other gay people that read this please do not take offense to what I said. I just think Reala shouldn't sound like that.

I think I'm giving myself nightmares with some of the things I say. I scare myself sometimes. Especially if it has anything to do with Reala.

Who?Pat Carroll.
No voice actor can only be judged by one voice. Nobody ever makes it into that industry with just one voice. That's why, when I suggest voice actors, I always post a link to their IMDB page and list multiple career highlights.Paul Dobson's Folken voice can melt your soul which in my opinion would make him more appropriate for Wizeman than Reala. Still, I think he could pull it off. Besides, I think David Kaye would be the best voice for Wizeman.
For my part, I think a voice that can "melt your soul" would suit Reala well, provided there's an edge of aggression as well. Dobson's shown a voice that can do both.
Oh, and I agree that David Kaye would be a great Wizeman, though Gary Chalk, the Optimus Prime to Kaye's Megatron, would be another outstanding candidate. That is, if Wizeman is in the game, which we can neither confirm nor deny.

I was simply giving an example of why I thought Dobson would be more suited for another character.
It is a shame that that Chris Latta is dead otherwise he would make a fine Reala.
I've throwing around a lot of Canadians in this topic so here's an American one instead. I happen to think Michael Bell could make a good Reala.

Pat Carroll is known best for her role in a Disney film as a tentacled sea witch. Seeing how Reala and NiGHTS are both supposed to be androgynous, a deeper female voice would probably fit best for Reala, at least in my opinion.

Every heard of Google? Well, apparently not.

Reala was androgynous? He looked like he could push 250 lbs lol
Who did the voice for Sephoroth in FF? Because if I remember correctly, I can see him doing Reala. O-o
Advent Children:
English speaking voice actor: George Newborn
Japanese speaking voice actor: Toshiyuki Morikawa
Last Order:
Japanese speaking voice actor: Toshiyuki Morikawa
Thank you imdb once again XD

Actually Sonic Team refers to Reala as a male. However, I guess it really doesn't matter because people like to think of Reala as having no set gender just like NiGHTS. But it is because he is called a male I hope for a male voice. I would be really confused if he got some kind of female voice. That and if I hear him with Ursalals (I can't spell her name...) then I would always think of the little mermaid when I saw him. That would make me very upset.
Also, iLLViLLAiN try not to put double post next time. Its a rule of the site. I don't think anyone is going to care if you do it once or twice. Accidents happen, but try not to do it again.

Agreed. I would've preferred no dialogue at all.I don't think there should be much voice acting anyway. The first NiGHTS did just fine with little to no voice acting.
Alas, it appears that despite our desire otherwise, we will get voice acting and therefore dialogue. So, best foot forward.

I'd go with Viperxmns on this, as long as the directing is goodHow about Richard Hayworth? He voiced Legato Bluesummers and Vicious. And Kenshin.
