so I'm normally a 3d artist, but every so often I'll take a swing at 2d stuff. Most of the time I hate it and I would have to say my style is far to sketchy, but here it is:
RiTH in Cosmos

I had some stuff up on the oekaki board before it went down, I'll try to get that up too.

Pretty good. How did you make this?

I used my tablet with photoshop, each color has it's own layer along with a separate layer each for dark and light values using screen and multiply layers. Water effect was done using a radial blur on rendered clouds and puting it to screen mode then scaling it down to the right position.

That's pretty cool. Your character and the tree look pretty awesome. the background is cool, but maybe the stars could've been blurred a little more, or have less gritty definition to give them a more natural feel.. (I'm dead envious that you have a tablet. I was gonna buy one when they were still on sale at Best Buy for $75 instead of $105, but being a poor college student living off of Ramen noodles just doesn't cut the cake and my dad forgot my birthday this year).

Is your tablet a Wacom? Either way, Is it pretty user-friendly? Kinda curious how those all work out..

yes it is a wacom, and I can attest to it's awesomeness... however I'm quickly finding out having better tools, although it helps, dose not make up for lack of skill >.> At least now I don't have an excuse for why my digital art doesn't look as pretty as others... Now I just need to train my skills unhindered by bad input devices

So, how about this 3d art I hear about? I'd like to see some of that.
