When I first saw NiGHTS in '96 I thought he was a girl LoL. He had huge eyes with thick lashes and wore purple XD that was all the proof I needed LoL.

But now I think he's adrogonous. Although I too refer to NiGHTS as a "he" because like everyone else said; it would be rude and s/he is a pain in the butt to say X3. But he can be whoever or whatever the heck he wants to be XD.

I'm a chick, and the way i see it, NiGHTS is whatever he/she/it darn well pleases when we play. XD I usually have to refer to him as male when I speak, as my friends all do. He has more male in him than Edgeworth (though maybe less now, cuz they buy their frilly shirts at the same emporium LOL).

Once, I think I glimpsed him in one dream wearing a tutu. O_O XD So I guess its whatever he feels like.

I am female, despite many people's beliefs on other forums, and depending upon my mood, NiGHTS is either male or androgynous. Perhaps my strange habit of considering anything and everything, no matter how girly and frilly, to be male until proven otherwise. Heh...

As a child I saw him as a female because of the purpleness/narrow-minded childishness, in the same kind of disturbing way I thought Knuckles the Echidna was a female. Now I see it as more of a male due to the lack of female features, however, if I was asked in a test I'd obviously say androgynous.

I really hope they do not give him a fixed gender in the new game though.

I'm male, and I see NiGHTS based on how he/she/it was last portrayed. (Like, if somebody drew a really femmy NiGHTS, I'd be thinking of how feminine NiGHTS is, and likewise.) When I haven't seen stuff in a while, I tend to go with genderless with masculine pronouns for ease of use. (One less letter, whoo.)

I'm female and I have always looked at NiGHTS as a male. I agree with Nephenee, He is referred to as a guy on the Sonic Riders Website. and I have always tought that NiGHTS, Reala, and Jackle were all brothers! ^_^

I always thought it was a female. She just looks feminine (with those eyes, curves etc.)
It was a sad day when I figured out it was androgynous. Now I'm over it, and I can accept it.
But I'll still think of it as a female (there are too many male heroes in videogames!)

I know NiGHTS is no set gender, but every time I've run into him/her in a dream I've never thought about his/her gender. As such I guess it's safe to say that I see NiGHTS as androgynous. However because I am very very lazy I always refer to NiGHTS as "he" (fewer keystrokes) ^.^

Sure, sometimes I say 'her', but sometimes I say 'him' too. It's fine with me, for in my opinion NiGHTS is both. -heart-

I'm female, and I can't make up my mind between male and androgynous. I know he's androgynous, but I call him a 'him' for the sake of not losing my mind with the 'He/she it', thing.
I think of just about everything as a male, likely because my enormous household is pretty much equal in genders, I don't 'hang out' with female humans like most twolegs, I can't stand most video game and movie females, and even though three out of four of the cats of the household that have picked me are female, I've still shared my room with five male gerbils.

I'm female, and it really depends on the conditions if NiGHTS is a boy or girl. At first I thought of him/her as a girl, but after awhile my opinion changed, then it changed again...so his/her gender kind of depends on what mood I'm in!

When I first saw a picture of NiGHTS, it was his JoD design. My mind automatically assumed he was a guy because of his waistcoat. Colors have never been that important to me when identifying gender, so his pink-and-purpleness didn't factor in. It was also the pose and look on his face. He reminded me of a mischievous boy. Now I know he's androgynous and always keep that in the back of my mind, but I generally think of him as a he. Except for one dream where he seemed more feminine. I even wrote "she" in my dream diary. But that's the only time. Oh, and I'm a girl.
