Hello everyone! I'm new here, and I know the board is a bit slow right now but I figured I would share my progress here.

I started working on NiGHTS about a month ago, and hope to have it done in time for Katsucon in February. I have a lot of work to do, especially since I'm taking a bit of artistic liberty with the costume to make it more eye-popping and detailed.  So far my main focus is on the headpiece, which is coming along quite well! I still have to figure in the stripes for the horns of course, and do the finishing touches around the opening for the face and then the fixture for the center front where it will snap at my neck.

Here is the latest progress:

You can follow my progress here on my costume page, as well:

I plan on doing several NiGHTS-related costumes, and various characters, as it is one of my favorite franchises. Clearly, based on my cosplay handle alone! :) I hope some of you will join me in my experiences as I take on this costume!

Sweet! The hat is a major thing, whenever I ponder the idea of a NiGHTS cosplay I wonder how I'd do the hat; you need structure but also as little weight as possible. Looks good!

Thanks! :) It is very lightweight, since it's only batting and Polyfill with fabric covering it.  I just got back from NY very early Saturday morning, and found lots of things to use for the costume!  I should have more progress to share soon.

Thank you! :) I made the sleeves for the bodysuit a week ago, and posted that progress on my FB page.  Once I have something interesting to show I'll share it here, too. I'm working on the stripes for the headpiece now and it's taking awhile - so much math! ;_; My least favorite part of costuming. But I'm loving the contrast of the two purples!

I'm making steady progress, mostly on the vest and with beading. :) Now is when things will really have to start picking up, with two months until the con!

Yeah, I hardly put a dent into the design on the outer leg, but I'll get around to completing it. I figure each set will take about 8 hours to complete, and only because I'm a quick beader.
