So who's feelin happy then? I'm still kinda stunned to be honest. I mean I know NiGHTS gets cameos in a lot of Sonic games but wow. This is a maaajor thing. Probably on par with with the pinball table from Sonic Adventure 1.

Just so you guys know, i'm absolutely clueless about this whole thing so I'm as speculative about everything like you. I played the game last year a long long time ago, but nothing like this. And obviously i can't talk about that so yeah no questions there. But regarding the the NiGHTS content, i'm wondering how it's going to pan out.

It doesn't look like typical skinswap stuff that lazy companies do. It looks like proper full on DLC thats actually worth preordering for. Though even if it was skinswaps though I think i'd still be happy, just because, NiGHTS stuff, c'mon!

I'm guessing from looking at the screencaps SEGA put on their Flikr but it seems like you fall down a tunnel towards Wizeman with some kinda portal at the end (it's behind him). Maybe this is like the only area you collect rings to fight each boss or something and when you reach the end you fall into a different arena? It made me think of Transformed a little.

The boss arenas have the same theme but appear to be in different layouts.

I'M HOPING but not expecting for there to be an actual reason storywise (not just fanglee) for it to be a thing. I can think of tons of reasons and good ways it could tie in. But i'm probably expecting too much for a fun free DLC bonus XD;

... also i wonder if the music will be remixed, or one song, or the classic boss themes?

Seeing the bosses who didn't appear in AST get a graphical update was amazeballs. Jackle looks incredible!!

ermagerd, i could fangirl about this all day.

Let us all assume the seating positions and SPECULATE MADSTYLEZ.

Buying a Wii-U has officially moved up several notches in my PRIORITY LIST.
I doubt I'll get one within the year, but I'll probably be preordering the Deadly Six edition anyway because OH MAN, NiGHTS.

Could this be Jackle's first appearance in anything ever since the original NiGHTS into Dreams, or has he made cameos in various Sonic games along NiGHTS himself? I think he's on one of the NiGHTS pinball cards in Sonic Adventure.

The way Sega paired each Nightmaren with one of the Deadly Six confuses me. For example, why does the fat yellow one get Wizeman and not the red leader guy? I guess green girl and Clawz makes sense, as does the blue goth kid and Jackle, but I think the tall purple guy would go better with Jackle given their manic personalities. Also, who is Reala going to get paired with if not one of the Deadly Six? Perhaps Eggman or some other foe in the game. If it's Metal Sonic or Shadow, I'd be fine with that too.

I think Jackle had a cameo in Pinball Party? Other than that, not sure.

As for the seemingly-random Zeti/Maren team-ups, I've been trying to rationalize them; Zazz (the tall purple guy) may have ended up with Puffy as they both move around a lot (at least, I think Puffy does, and Zazz gives the impression that he doesn't remain stationary for long). Zavok (red leader guy) is on Gillwing as to better stay out of Sonic's reach (otherwise I'm not sure; guess Gillwing looked the most impressive?); Zomom (fat yellow one) gets one of Wizeman's hands as it's the largest dream entity of the lot. Zik (cyan old guy) and Gulpo...not sure. Maybe Zik's domain will be similar to Mystic Forest?

I was gonna say that Zor (blue goth kid) and Jackle's team-up is based on deception (in the Gamescon trailer, Zor can be briefly seen summoning shadowy clones of himself), but the only "deceptive" thing I can think of for Jackle is whether or not he has an invisible body.

sorry to go a bit offtopic for a second but I just realised that with Sonic Teams character designs - Puffy- is the only overweight large character that isn't portrayed as being stupid/slow. She's so cool! X) Puffy love +10

What about Eggman? While he's portrayed as a goofy villain, he's not stupid nor slow. Then again, Puffy might be Eggman if Christmas NiGHTS is anything to go by.

Same here. I didn't mind missing out on the Casino Night DLC from Gens, but this is leagues beyond that in every way (Sonic vs. Jackle!!). I just wonder if I'll be able to do what I did with SASRT's Bonus edition and pick it up at a store, or I need to be on top of pre-ordering. I would just hate to miss my chance to ever play this NiGHTS DLC. But I also wonder if the NiGHTS codes will have expiration dates. It would suck to get hold of a pre-order copy of Lost World but still need to redeem the code long before I'd be up for purchasing a Wii U.

It seems Takashi Iizuka isn't quite ready to give up on NiD. Here's hoping he can sweet talk Sega into giving him one more shot with the franchise.

While I'm more than thankful that so much NiGHTS lovins has been put into this, I can't help but wonder whether Reala and NiGHTS him/herself will be making an appearance :B Unless those two are duking it out in the background or something haha

I'll just throw this note here: Toys R Us officially notes the bonus edition on SLW's pre-order page if you look in the description- http://www.toysrus.c....uctId=23640166

This is too awesome! I already wanted this game but this just make me want it even more. This news couldn't have come any sooner knowing that the WIi U is getting a price drop too!

Money is tight for me and so I can't get the Deadly Six edition to just have as a as a "hey it has NiGHTS-elements in it" for the forseeable future.

BUT MAYBE DOWN THE LINE.  (Hopefully it won't become some overpriced eBay collector's THING.)
