I've enjoyed racing on X box live but have come up against problems which could probably use an update fix:

When it works well, it works very well but often...

1. The score seems to be totally unrelated to your performance. You can win a race by a long way and be awarded last place and have points deducted. You can see plus 28 on the screen, only to find you've had 100 added. I've come last before and jumped from 1520 to 1478 and then come 2nd and been back down to 12hundred and something - it seems almost completely random at times.

2. A simple minor collision with a fellow racer can send you flying back a vast distance or stop you in your tracks completely. I have both benefitted from and been a victim of this quirk but in single player this would merely result a round of the bouncabouts - which is much more competitive and fun.

3. Network errors seem to boot me out quite regularly. Often can't get through 2 races before being booted out mid race.

My friend who lives near me plays online and also experiences these problems.

Is it just in our area or have other people experienced these issues? Is it just because of Christmas season server overload? Is it broken? Is there any chance they might fix it?...

I have had the same issues. however if you can somehow control the "blasting" when your touched it ain't so bad, but sometimes fly off the track into an unknown red area. Kinda like the cube that drops in mainframe in reboot. ( I KNOW you guys know what I am talking about...) The network errors are VERY annoying But is seems to happen when somebody don't have a good enough connection and instead of just dropping that player, everyone suffers the fate. I have had 12 player games that are super crazy (just like I like it!) and suddenly one person leaves and another comes in and network error extravaganza! I have noticed that some people stay and the errors continue. When this person disappears the errors stop. Now I'm not blaming anybody, is just an observation. Its not a single person issue. I believe Sega can fix these problems. I heard the game was rushed. Well, now is the time to take the time and fix it up a little. I'm sure people would buy it more with these few kinks fixed. All in all, the game is great. Here is a tip for all for the death arder track: Jump on the left side of the snake's mouth. That is all! (except mirror of course)

Well, it could be my internet I suppose, although all my other games work fine online. I will try to set up a private custom race with two friends who live locally and report back how well it works.

It's just disappointing 'cos all the other aspects of the game work so well and I can't help but compare it to Mario Kart Wii (where the online experience was flawless apart from people hacking/cheating).

BRING ON THE PATCH.

is most defiantly NOT your internet. It kinda feels like perhaps the project was rushed? I would definitely like a patch to fix 2 things. The bounce you to the moon that happens online, and the snake heads. I can live with the rumble thing. all i got to do is start a new race.
And yes...
BRING ON THE PATCH!
