I want a bit of discussion here because there's something I've ALWAYS wondered about regarding the bosses in NiD (and the port).
THE BOSSES.

Do they have score reflective AI?

I'm not crazy right?

RIGHT?

Reason i'm asking is because i always seem to get my ass kicked more when i have a really high Nightopia score. It's like the bosses get harder when you're doing better?
Or am i failing more at the bosses just because i'm too focused to kill them faster?

Is it only me who gets their ass handed to them by Jackle for no reason when i have a great run through the dream?

I honestly never noticed that. It's possible that there are two iterations of each boss depending on what kind of rank you get. If you get a D, E or F, you're treated to an easy version of the boss, which is the game's subtle way of mocking your skills. But if you get an A, B or C, you get the "true" harder version of the boss. That might explain why Journey of Dreams had an easy mode and a hard mode for each boss.

That's a really good theory actually. Level grade dependant before the boss fight. Hmmmm.

Actually I tend to do the same thing...the higher my score before a boss the more likely I mess it up...especially in the HD release...

Oh my God, I've always felt the same way! Every time I do really good in Nightopia, the bosses seem harder. I always just thought it was my imagination though. Like, maybe since I feel more badass when I get a good score, the boss should seem easier to me or something.
