And heeeeeere's the latest picture (which I'm also giving to TRiPPY and DiGi as a gift and plan to color later:)):







I doodled a picture of NiGHTS about half an hour ago and decided to pen it in. I plan to color it later, but most importantly it was fun to draw. NiGHTS was originally relaxing on his back in the air, but the picture looks better ride-side up and still has the same effect. Enjoy and all comments are welcome. (My apologies the scanner is currently down so all I have is the digital camera for putting in the pictures, hence the low/weird quality).

Man, I love your confidence with inks... variation in line widths is also nicely handled. What kind of pen do you use?
Also, I love the simplicity of the forms you use, something I really want to get the hang of XD

To be completely honest, I don't use special pencils or pens. I have nice ones but I never figured out how to use them. So I just used a normal .5 mechanical pencil for the sketching and a normal office pen for the outlining, then I went back and erased the pencil.

ooo pretty!, would you mind terribly if I were to do my own attempt at coloring for this? my drawing style is too sketchy for good inks so I rarely make something worthy of coloring. I really could use the practice for color too. just thought I'd ask before taking liberties

Sure, you may practice coloring with the black and white version of the picture, just please don't post it anywhere as your own unless you note that I did the original ink and give a link to my colored version of the picture. Thank you!

Thank you! It was a blast to do the coloring (even though it took 10x longer than drawing the picture), and I'm glad you say that of his pose, because that's exactly what I was shooting for.

Aww, I feel so honored, thanks! It's my wallpaper, too. Again as with most of my pictures, I started with his eyes because it's what portrays his intentions and personality the most. The rest of the picture flows with his intentions and feelings, which is what makes it appear smooth and natural.
