So there isn't a thread about this yet, but Sega is going to be consolidating/restructuring after huge financial losses.

So for the foreseeable future, it seems like Sega is going to be releasing only a small number of titles in series that are proven sellers. Furthermore, many employees of Sega of America/Europe are going to be laid off.
Seriously bad news for Sega fans. Even though the company has changed considerably since merging with Sammy, I still feel a lot of loyalty to Sega for being responsible for the games I loved when I was a kid.

Bummed me out for sure. And what does this mean for us NiGHTS people, probably doesn't spell anything good for the near future.. Not unless they have total confidence that a port of NiD would sell really well

This is a very depressing article. SEGA's recent past mistakes are catching up with them and it's such a shame because they were getting their shizzle together. I really hope they can pull through this but it's a shame that so many people are losing their jobs in the process.

I seriously can't help but wonder why they just won't listen to people and release some of the games people keep asking them for.
