---------------------------------------------
Seeing as I'm definitely one who's taken some time away from the site, I've been pretty busy at work and with life in-general. After Lucid Dreaming came out I buckled down to focus on some other things, mostly taking on some more stuff over at OCR. I'm currently working on an EP with the Plaid Muffins that's doing a bunch of Duck-game arrangements. Also working on an originals album with some friends, and also doing music for a month podcast that isn't my own. I got a dog back in October who's been awesome, and I've recently been getting back into cardio training to help my heart and health a bit. I also recently got a new car and a new facial hair style

Congratulations on the dog! What's its name? What about breed? I've had several pets over the years.
Well, I've been perusing other forums. I've started a gaming channel on YouTube where I've been talking about a couple of indie games. And I'm active in their forums as well. I've also been investing my time in the flute, which I picked up on September and, so far, it's going great!

And I'm now halfway across and all the way south in the country instead of right by the nation's capital. Two cats, a mother and baby boy named Turtle and Koala, who like to cause havoc at 4 in the morning (unless I'm still awake at that point, and then they're quiet), contemplating moving a bit ways north, and going to the gym a few times a week. When I remember. Best friend got married in December, got those little "invisible" tray braces (and they are a pain, let me tell you--but better than mutilating my mouth the way I would were they wire)... Nerding, looking around for a music program I can compose with that has a piano scroll, and playing games and saving up for a desktop: the most interesting things in my life, at the moment.
Also have an old friendship on the mend and pretty sure it's all good, now.

This is indeed a forum where there are several activity waves...

Her name is Precious, she's a 6 year old American Pitbull Terrier mix. She's a rescue, and the sweetest dog I've ever met. She's kinda attention-whoring at times, quite stubborn, and has small bouts of separation anxiety, but for the most part just a very curious, friendly, loving dog.
I'm pretty big into Indie games these days, which ones have you been doing? Also keep up the good work on the flute!
I've been here the whole time
WHERE IS EVERYBODY indeed
Mostly dealing with real-life, methinks. The internet is a big place, though.
I JUST GOT BACK AFTER DISAPPEARING FOR HOW LONG? Uuuuuuuuuuuuh...

Sounds like you've just done gone and been crazy lately. I have invisible retainers I have to wear for the rest of my life, and that was after 2+ years of braces. Its not fun maintaining amazing teeth, but definitely worth it. And big proponent of going to the gym, your body will thank you for remembering. Mazel-tov to your best friend.
Also there are a few music programs that have piano scroll, but that depends on what you mean by piano scroll. If you're looking for traditional staff notation, Finale is the one I hear of the most. There are many others that view midi data as a piano roll, though it looks nothing like traditional staff. Reaper is one of the more affordable ones that do that, and its basically free with a nagscreen if you want to test it out. No features disabled, just a nagscreen until you buy it.

Not too much exciting stuff to report, but I am working on a creative project that *I* think is pretty cool. (It's a game made with RPG Maker! Featuring original music! All by me! Yeah!)

My bitch (best word I can find that means female dog) is very attention-whoring, but that's kind of all the time. Unless she's asleep
I've been doing Terraria, discussing pre-release Starbound things, and yesterday I uploaded a video about Cube World, which I am quite stoked about. In the future I'll be doing Spelunky, maybe Voxatron and other than these, I do hope to do Limbo and Dead Space as I improve my gear. I did an off-topic thread, which you can check here
And thanks! The flute is my sixth instrument (excluding my voice). I pick up instruments quite easily so I'm kind of an instrument-%$£!, I guess you could say.

I'm really fail at figuring out programs, haha. And by piano roll, I mean anything that has something to indicate notation. I'll take a look at Finale. :> Thanks.

I've been...Well, not here obviously.
No one talks about anything anymore pretty much so I keep not visiting the site for months on end.
This is pretty much the case for me. The times I do check in on here, nothing is really going on. So I end up going months without checking in on things. Oops.
Also, real life is crazy busy. crazycrazybusy.

I've been drawing comics to keep me cheerful. Hanging around on Facebook. Scribbling on bits of paper and making huge 'to do' lists. To be fair I have been getting through them too. One thing at a time! >: O
Also recently went on a diet exercise thing to try and get back into shape. My knees are bloody killing me right now >___>;;
I've been feeling seriously nostalgic lately.

Yeah, I check this forum regularly, but I head straight to the "View New Content" button. Usually there is nothing new and I have no new stuff to say so I just have to wait for something to happen! D:
This is pretty much what I do. Sorry for not helping said lack of activity.
I've been thinking about doing a Journey of Dreams LP, but I'm not sure where to post it on these forums. (Help?)

I would assume the JoD Discussing sub-forum or the Creative sub-forum

Oh, we've recently adopted (I say recent despite the older cat being with us for one year now.) two cats. The older is named Ren, and the younger is named Marble. Both are doing really well!

But hi, I check in once in a blue moon. I got my bachelors in 2010 and since then have been drifting between work and not knowing what I'm doing with my life. I just went back to school to pursue animation. Last semester was all pre-reqs and portfolio submission, and happily I was accepted into the program so that's my next two years...
I have a summer job as a summer school TA, I'll be involved in a production of Singing in the Rain in a couple weeks, and I've recently taken up parkour.

Though I admit that the biggest thing that drew me back was listening to JoD music and wanting to look up some old boss analysis theories I wrote up on the appropriate subforum. Not sure if it's there anymore though.
Also, the RP sections almost completely dead, isn't it? A shame. I was going through it and thinking 'Hey, I basically made a character based on a Nightmaren at one point, why not see if there's someplace I could use it?' only to find that the most recent RP thread ended last year. :V

As for me -- I finally got a new job, and it's been eating away at most of my free time. Experienced a series of both happy and sad events, and started rocking a whole new approach to life.
Been working on new artwork, stories, and music. (I got FL Studio, and it is massive amounts of epic.) I've also been tearing apart my house (and inside my PC) and clearing out the clutter -- less is more, and all that jazz. Changing out some hardcopy filing systems with digital ones to save space. Getting ready to spend bucketloads on new fabric and art supplies when I can spare them. (It's an uphill battle. XD)
Was a bit lonely in here for a while, as it seemed I was the only one checking in every day or so... Nice to see some activity on here again. I kind of figured a lot of the members went to the IRC chats when they started again... Is all of that still up, or has that gone quiet too?
Speaking of which -- was anyone ever interested in having a Deviant Art chatroom for NiGHTS? I know it seems redundant with the IRC section and all, but it's a browser-based chat that you don't have to do any additional sign up for... If people are interested, I can start a new topic for it somewhere...
Meanwhile -- great to see you all again~!

I... I live! P-Promise! T^T
Lol everyone comes back eventually, we're scary like that XD.
HO HO HO! INDEED WE DO!
The past (almost) three years have been school grinding for me. I moved from my home in Mississippi to Texas to attend Le Cordon Bleu. I just finished my program last month, and I have my graduation ceremony on the 20th of this month. My last two classes were having an actual job in the field, and I lucked up pretty awesome. I'm now working at the sushi bar of the Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck here in Dallas. <3 I'm continuing my job there for the foreseeable future (at LEAST 5 years, I hope, but we'll see). A recent addition addition to our team there has encouraged me to finally start ACTUALLY learning Japanese. My boss at my job is also pretty awesome and I haven't stopped learning stuff from him since I got there. <3 I've also been picking up a lot of things about how to do sushi and more of the spirit of it all by working. Despite the stress I get from it sometimes, I actually do love my job. And, despite that I wasn't sure about sushi when I started, I don't think I really want to do anything else for my career at the moment. <3 I work pretty late and commute pretty far, so I don't have too much time after work to do much posting before I head off to sleep for another long day.
tl;dr LIFE. IS. GETTING. AWESOME. *v*

At least for awhile. I've done a lot of growing in the last few years since I've posted on this site. I'm not the same little girl the people who remember me would recall. I've started out on my own path, started college, and decided to become an editor as well as write professionally. Maybe someday down the line I'll go back to school and attempt to attain a degree in none other than my beloved Egyptology.
Well ... I just can't believe it's been this long? I was going back over my favorites on DA the other day and found spinningcanon's stuff and that lead me back here. I've always had fond memories of this place, and I decided to drop back in. I missed this place and the people here because it did play a huge role in shaping who I am today. TRiPPY was the first person I admired as an artist. TORiAS was my first fan character. I made a lot of mistakes back then but I still had so much fun and I'll never forget this place.
It's hilarious that the last time I was here I was in my Final Fantasy IV/Tales of Symphonia phase. I'm out of that now and I've found permanent roots in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters fandom, made life long friends who will send me stuff in the mail for my birthday, and talk to me every day via skype no matter what. My heart's been broken, I've gotten a boyfriend, and I've learned and grown just like everyone else.
If I knew you back in the day and you want to drop me a line you can. Ask for my skype and we'll chat and catch up.
I still have plenty of dreams to share!
