Idea for the next NiGHTS game

One of the things that annoyed me about Journey of Dreams, the only one I've gotten to play, is the Rings and blue chips sound effects. They inturrupted the awesome music and kept reminding me this was a game. So, I'd like to put forward the idea that rings should have their appearance customized for the stage's theme and have notes when you hit them, a little closer to how the music notes worked in Memory Forest, but set to add an instrument to the music that's already playing instead of layer a sound effect over it. The Blue Chips could also be picked up without that high pitched beeping sound.
It's just a little astetic thing, maybe one that could be controlled in the options, but I think it could enhance the experience of the gamer, and modern consoles shouldn't have a problem with space limitations for a few extra sets of sound effects and textures. And yes, I do know that this might not be read by anyone who can actually be working on the game... But remember what site put NiGHTS in Allstar Racing?

If there is to be a new NiGHTS game (from the looks of it when hell freezes over ) I would like to say something about voices and stuff
NiGHTS: I have nothing against the JOD va but NiGHTS voice didn't sound right, I think for NiGHTS it would be better for her to have no voice but if SEGA are that keen then get someone who is of British nationality to do it, plus someone with a young sounding voice too (I wish I could put forward myself but I'll know that i'll sound egotistical, but it would be an honour)
Reala/Wizeman: Same with NiGHTS but if not keep the JOD VA (they are both awesome )
Owl: Kill this character or don't make him talk so much, the voice suits him though
Nightmarens: I personally would like to see the boss nightmaren play a more active role in the story not just popping up twice in every level, maybe even some dialogue there not too much though.

♦ I know that graphics aren't the most important aspect of a game but when you're trying to create the feeling of dreams you should try your best to dig DEEP into your well of creativity and pull out the most interesting ideas. I'm not saying that prior NiGHTS games lacked in this area as they obviously haven't but their should be more dream-like imagery. For example, some of our "real world" dreams are blurry, some dreams are in black and white, and some dreams appear feint or hazy. Visual elements can be blended together and layered such as a clear dream with feint figures moving about or a dream that begins foggy but ends in an extremely vibrant and bright color.
♦ The next NiGHTS game should have dreamers of different races or at least different cultures. This isn't knocking the main dreamers of the past games but it would be nice to see the next set of dreamers come from entirely different cities, states, or maybe even countries. You'd have maybe one dreamer live in Australia and the other could come from somewhere like Japan or you'd have two kids from the same city who were born in completely different types of environments.
♦ No. Motion. Controls.
♦ It should go back to teenage dreamers. I just think teenage dreamers can be related to better by both children and adults than child dreamers. Teenagers aren't all that mature yet and their themes tend to be more subtle while still being a bit wild and sometimes childish.
♦ Bring back the Alarm Egg and get rid of the Awakers. Sure the Alarm Egg was largely ineffective but that's what was so great about it. It actually allowed you to explore the dreamscape even while being hunted. The Awakers ruined exploring on foot because the dreamscapes were so large and they'd get to you before you covered most of the map. Also, the Awakers were just boring in appearance whereas the Alarm Egg looked interesting and actually had a bit of personality to it.

- I"d honestly prefer it if the Nightmaren spoke in their dream language, if they were given voices at all. Listening to JoD NiGHTS and Reala banter in hideous fake English accents made me want to shove all sorts of uncomfortable-looking objects into my ears. (Although Reala's wasn't NEARLY as bad as NiGHTS' voice. Kinda like a Tim Curry impersonation) Maren dialogue could have that dreamy, sort of muffled quality that the (very few) voices in NiD had.
- More original bosses, please. I love the original baddies from NiD, but bosses for different, new characters should be, y'know, DIFFERENT.
- Since tutorials are in most games nowadays, just have NiGHTS teach the dreamers how to fly. We don't need a Winnie the Pooh reject to teach us how to "KEEP MOVING TO THE RIGHT".
- Go back to the Nightopians' original design. Or something similar. Please. Just. Gods.
- Make Paralooping deadly again. A Paraloop is supposed to be an attack, after all.
- I'm down with having different types of levels in a NiGHTS game, I really am. But the ones in JoD weren't executed very well, kinda contrived, didn't make a lot of sense, etc etc. Improve them, please.
- Have the boss battle for the stage be the VERY last thing you do in that stage. And only make us fight the boss ONCE.

You have to admit Wizeman's was good though. I loved his "I will take your mind, your conciousness, and create a NEW, MORE OBEDIENT SERVANT!" And when you were fighting him, "Behold, the power of a god... recieve my judgement." I really think it added to his intimidation.

Very true! Wizeman's voice-actor did a great job. I got shivers the first time Wizeman spoke XD

-Keep missions, but make them like Sonic Adventure. Only the "primary" missions will be required for story completion. The restare for unlockables and 100%.
-Keep the cutscenes, but make them good. JoD had some really good ideas. I liked Nights as a type of Peter Pan character, I LOVED Reala as a trickster, screwing with the kids heads. When Reala went up to Nights in front of Helen and started acting like there was some plan, I thought that was brilliant. Finding out Nights was a Nightmaren was pretty good too. There were very good ideas, that just weren't presented the best way, and lots of details were left out. I think SEGA should hire a good writer, someone with an imagination to match the atmosphere.
-Bring back Into Dreams... Ideya Capture gameplay, I think that's the best. Have Chase Missions and Octopaw missions too, though, as they were also good.
-Personas seemed kind of wasted in JoD, which is ironic because I think tey would have been PERFECT for Into Dreams... I wanted to explore and open up new paths as the dragon and dolphin. But alas, there was hardly anything to do with those forms. With the Ideya Capture though, opening new paths has a benefit because you can find chips you couldn't reach before.
-The kid stages were the weakest part of JoD, but they were relaxing, imo. Keep some form of exlporing levels as kids. I dunno...maybe some sort of SA style Adventure field?
-Nightopian "Chao Garden" would be cool. Maybe even have a Sonic game released nearby with a Chao garden and allow for crossover games and trading. Chao VS Mepian in a Karate match, anyone?

The structure should be similar to the original Nights with the emphasis being heavily on flying as Nights. Perhaps there could be a map screen allowing you to select different routes through the game. Lots of levels would be a must, maybe a level editor/dlc levels.
Everything Mythic has said is spot on as well, except I'm not so sure I want different types of levels - the highlight has always been the flying for me.
I'd like to see the A-Life system and the way that it effects the music advanced.
Perhaps unlock the ability to play as Reala, where the levels become dark and sinister as you fly by, rings wither when you fly through them and Nightopians flee when you come near.

As for the voice acting, I would definitely keep Reala and Wizeman's voices. I loved the way they were portrayed in Journey of Dreams. As for NiGHTS, I'd probably keep his voice, but make him communicate mostly through visual cues. He'd still talk, but only if the circumstance were to call for it. I've always seen NiGHTS as a playful mime, whereas Reala's more of a chatterbox, always taunting NiGHTS in an attempt to get a response.
I'd totally bring back Jackle as well.
