A thousand apologies for not posting anything for almost three years, but I strongly doubt anyone will come here because this forum is dead in my eyes. And I suppose no one has the time to read this topic that I made. Since JoD has been out for nearly 4 years, I still yet to know the names of the 3rd level nightmarens. So far I only know a few:
Seapo- seahorse nightmaren
Shleep- sheep nightmaren
Ballooga- fish nightmaren
Murtle- turtle nightmaren
Mothpil- moth nightmaren
Deworm- caterpillar nightmaren
I desire to know what the bird nightmaren, eel nightmaren, bee nightmaren, and scorpion nightmaren's official names are, if there any.

I've looked around and I couldn't find any information on the 3rd level nightmaren. There is nothing in the manual or official sega sites (english and japanese). Interestingly sega decided to take down the old english site and replace it with a new one that has even less information. The minigame they made for the site is also gone.
How did you get the current list of names? Were they mentioned when playing the game?
And try to be a little more positive towards the site People still visit and there are a lot of new members since the 15th anniversary so the site is not dead.

While I don't agree with your views on the forum, I will at least contribute to the topic so that we might spur some discussion on the subject.
I'm certain a year or two back, we had a similar topic, and many of us actually found out the names of the third level maren of JoD. If you give me half an hour or so, I'll see if I can dig it up.
In the meantime, here's my scan of the official strategy guide, that has pics and the names in japanese.

Nice Jof! I don't think I've seen that scan before. It's pretty cool.

Cheers. I always meant to get a decent scanner and scan the rest of it. There's some nice renders of all the bosses in there too.
Anyway I found the aforementioned topics here and here.
So, going from the top row we have;
Seapo - Seahorse Maren, appears in Pure Valley/Aqua Garden
Beez - Bee Maren, appears in Delight City
Beez Pod - Bee Hive Maren, appears in Delight City
Scaropion - Scorpion Maren, appears in Lost Park
Mewwy - Seagull Maren, appears in Pure Valley/Aqua Garden
Eelon- Electric Eel Maren, appears in Delight City
Shleep - Sheep Maren, from NiD, appears in Pure Valley
Mothpil - Moth Maren, appears in Memory Forest/Delight City
Balooga - Pufferfish Maren, appears in Aqua Garden
Murtle - Turtle Maren, appears in Crystal Castle
Deworm - Caterpillar/Worm Maren, appears in Memory Forest
Goodle - Bird Maren, holds keys, appears in every stage.
In fact Jazz, you yourself made this very same topic in 2009 that had to be merged.

Could someone name all of the third-level nightmaren in JoD? I know some but name them all for me please.
.........
thanks I'll be sure to keep this somewhere safe.

It is known that the forum itself tends to have quiet moments, literally because after so many years there's only so much you can talk about in a forum (especially since places like Twitter and FaceBook allow users to just post random blurbs rather than engage in lengthy discussions). So while i understand your point of view on this place being 'dead', i beg to differ. NiGHTS fans tend to flow in and out of the place all the time.
Kinda like what you're doing right now.
Anyways, in response to the topic itself, that is a decent scan, Jof man. Nice one. Some of the designs for these minions are actually really well designed when you look at them up close like this. In the game i tend to just pass over them. This is the first time i've actually stopped to study their designs properly.
