Alright. I'll let the other closed thread simmer for a bit so you can go back and re-read anything that might be important to you.
It will eventually be deleted so we can keep things somewhat streamlined around here. Anything you think you might want to re-add to this thread, go right ahead.


So, essentially - we've been noticing a few of you coming out with your ideas and creations to celebrate the 15th anniversary of NiGHTS Into Dreams...
And of course, we're always here to encourage and cheer you on, and perhaps some of your fellow forum-goers would like to contribute to your fan-projects or perhaps find inspiration to start their own.

Make this thread work for you -
For the creators - if you want to come right out and post your ideas regarding a project you're either starting or already working on, then go for it! Sometimes getting feedback from your peers is helpful, insightful, and sometimes keeps you going.
For the cheerleaders and moral supporters - be insightful and polite.

I'd suggest for those wanting to share/collaborate, then come up with an outline of what it is you're working on... what kind of medium/format, what you want to accomplish, what resources you may need. If you want to keep your collaborative projects under wraps, then Private Messaging is probably the best way to go.

My spidey senses are telling me that with all this, we'll have to extend the initail celebration to last all week!

As for me...

"NiGHTS and the great Baseball game" is a comic I am making to do my part. It is temporarily sceduled to be released over the week of the 15th anniversery, It will be a comic that celebrates the charecters we've all come to love and The many quirks our fandom has devloped over the years.

TO OTHER ARTISTS: Got a NiGHTS comic idea? whither its a 4-koma (four paneled gag comic) or a short story, this fan project has the potential to grow into a fan-made digital comic compilation. If you have a Well-devoloped, clear-cut, drawn on your own NiGHTS themed comic, feel free to contact me and we'll see what we can do!

TO FELLOW FORUMERS: While this anniversery may be all about NiGHTS, It's also about how long we've been able to stick together as a community. Bacause this comic IS about baseball, we're gonna need people to fill the stands! If you want your unique guise to appear, wheather it be in real life or the dream world, feel free to contact me and I'll see what I can do!

I like this idea of yours, infractus. Well done and thank you.

So here is what I'm doing. As many of you know, NiD.com has a whole section dedicated to NiD/CNiD/JoD fan music, meaning that it is music inspired by the games and dedicated to them. I am working on an album's worth of this kind of music and will be naming the album "Sounds From the Dream". The music will be primarily written on electric guitar. Styles will range from hard rock, to metal, to folk, to funk, etc. A good portion of the songs will be instrumental, however some of them I'd like some vocalists for.

Here is what I'd like help from you guys for if any of you are able and have the time and resources:

DRUMMERS

Anyone who can play drums and record drum tracks for me would be highly appreciated and would be credited in the writing credits. Or if you can create drum beats/loops on a computer that fit with the songs, that would also work.

BASSISTS

I can play bass and record the bass tracks myself, but I'm not the most skilled at it. A lot of the songs won't be too difficult, but if you feel you can play bass well enough, I'd appreciate the help.

VOCALISTS

Can you sing well? If you're confident in your ability to sing on one of my songs and can record yourself in decent quality, hit me up with a demo of what you can do. I'd love to work with any of you who can do it.

MIXING AND MASTERING

I'm not going to lie. I don't know the first thing about this process. I've tried to learn it before, but a lot of it just went WAY over my head. I want this album to actually sound at least somewhat professional, so anyone who can help me do this would be REALLY appreciated. I need people who can do this more than I need anything else I've asked for.

No real deadline. I was just setting this topic aside from those forum-goers who were starting up their own projects so things could be a little more collected and they could collaborate if they want.

They found this violet being

In the darkness of that night.

This is my text so far. I'm thinking an illustration for each stanza.

Nice. Real nice. I take it the Wicked Lord is Wizeman the Wicked and the 2 Children are the Visitors Elliot & Claris. The demon that wanted to be free and the violet being must be NIGHTS then.

Nice. Also for an Plot idea for the comic we're doing after this, when dealing with Chucky we should make a Hoodwinked Too Ref and Child's Play 3 by having this dialogue:
GIGA-XISBASS: I'm gonna huff & puff and bloooooooooow your house up!! Or in your case your head!! *throws grenade*

CHUCKY: What the *Beep* *Chucky blows up by grenade*

GIGA-XISBASS: THAT'S KARMA FOR CHILD'S PLAY 3!! REVENGE FOR WHITEHURST SUCKA!!

I'm not sure if I have enough time to do illustrations now, between my Sonic Anniversary Project and my Final Fantasy IV 20th Project, but If I can do anything, even sketches, they'lll definately show up here!

Figured I might do a bumpty-bump on this because, one, I was chattin' with Andersam about her project last night; two, the time is near. How's everyone progressing?

Also does anyone here know how to use RPG MAKER? I've a great idea for a NIGHTS RPG fangame and need someone to make it with RPG MAKER or something.
