When I try to boot up my copy of NiGHTS on my Sega Saturn and when I try to select a level, Elliot and Claris just stand there. The Ideya never show up. The cloud background loops while the child just stands there. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you taken a look at the disc? Any scratches? Any problems with other games on your Saturn?

Well I bought it used, so it is a little scratched up, but not that bad in my opinion. Other games work on it. Oh, and when I boot it in SSF it runs. I don't think that it's a CD rip. It looks like the actual disc.Have you taken a look at the disc? Any scratches? Any problems with other games on your Saturn?

Even what appears to be a minimal scratch can royally F up the game; I bought my copy of Christmas NiGHTS used, and what was supposed to be a clean disc turned out to have scratches and wouldn't boot past the intro. I was able to get it polished at a local Game Crazy (which has since closed), and it now plays but even now it still has some minimal problems. See if you can get the disc cleaned up.

I appreciate this very much. Thanks. I was hoping to play the actual game once before the 15th Anniversary. I'll see if that fixes it.Even what appears to be a minimal scratch can royally F up the game; I bought my copy of Christmas NiGHTS used, and what was supposed to be a clean disc turned out to have scratches and wouldn't boot past the intro. No prob, best of luck getting it working. I drove myself pretty nuts in this situation, lol (got some money back at least.. and the girl working at GC happened to be a NiGHTS fan).
