What Do you Guys think of Power Rangers? I Think They are Kickbutt BA. The Ultimate in Heroes cause of the Giant Megazords they Bust out and Cause of the Whole Concept of them is Just Plain Extremely Cool. What do you Guys Think?

So all of Power Rangers is streaming on Netflix now. I've been chipping away at watching Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers in order. I was a huge fan when I was a kid, outgrew it, but eventually came back to admit that I find amusement in the series. I don't know when I stopped watching exactly, but I never really got fully back into it since being a kid. I found out the show left Haim Saban's hands for a while and it went to Disney, but Saban is handling it once again. And Bulk from the early episodes is apparently back, which is awesome even though I'm not watching new episodes.

Now that I'm an adult, I know that it's actually a Japanese show with newly shot footage of American actors to give it new contextualization. Brightly costumed heroes posing in synchronization before jumping into giant robots that combine and fight a monster? This is the kind of show I can find GREAT AMUSEMENT in. Plus the nostalgia! Yeah the show is ridiculous and dumb, but I think it's pretty entertaining if nothing else. I used to have a White Ranger saber (Saba) and the gloves that made sound-effects when you pressed buttons in the fingertips.

Someone on the Something Awful forums has decided to watch ALL of Power Rangers and write about it. I find this amusing and awesome: http://forums.someth...hreadid=3424342

...and I always wanted a Megazord. If they re-released the original version, I would buy it.

Whaaaaa, new version of the classic Megazord was made??? AND I MISSED IT!? According to online places, it's already going for obscene amounts of money. T__T

I don't know if I want to bother watching the new version of Power Rangers -- the classic episodes are enough for me. I'm just pleased to see that kids today get to watch the same kind of action shows I saw as a kid.
