For the Mega Man Legends fans it's been a long time since the last game, 10 years it seems, so it was pretty cool to hear that a third game is being made for the Nintendo 3DS.
Capcom is actually asking for fan input for the game, which is amazing to say the least. They have a strong desire to make the best game for their community.
I can't help but think about JoD because it was 10 years from the first game and if they had reached out to the fans it could have been a better game.

3DS? Gah, that stings. I've been against the idea of getting a 3DS at least for the first year or so, because it's too much to buy such an expensive handheld right away when they may send out better versions of it in only a couple years (based off the DS's history). Man, and I've been wanting to see this game.

Yeah, the initial price of the 3DS will probably be a bit high with all of the new technology they are putting into it.
It seems that Mega Man Legends 3 is only in the early development stage so it will probably be more than a year before it is ready.

WAAAH! I still have catching up to do with the Mega Man series. I beat all the games in the Anniversary Collection and the first two games in the X series in the X Collection. I haven't even gotten to the Legends series yet... But clearly, I have to get a move on.

They have some early gameplay videos What I want to know, though, is who those characters are in the video.

I can't believe they canceled it
This is one of the main reasons I would have bought a 3DS.
They even had a prototype version that they were going to release for the launch of the eShop.
It really disappoints me that something could be given so much time, development and involvement from the fans and then all of a sudden be canceled.
I think I'll go cry now...

I've never really played a MegaMan game, nevermind legends, but I was honestly looking forward to this. From the brief gameplay trailers, I loved the style and cel-shaded cartoony visuals it had, and hell, I need more 3DS games at this point.

Somewhere in South Carolina, there is probably a tiny gay man foaming at the mouth in rage over the game's cancellation.

From what I'm reading the best way to possibly 'save Megaman' is to sign up at Capcom Unity's Devroom and join the group/get a Servbot number.. GamePro reported that 25K Servbots may mean something.
