So out of curiosity, when was the last time you played JoD? To be honest, for me it's been so long that I don't even remember. When I do play NiGHTS any more, its usually NiD.... It's kinda sad. We were all excited for this game and then we just forget about it...

Within the past couple of weeks, though mainly to demonstrate the game for a friend's seven year old son. Otherwise it's been a while; I almost lost the chase mission in Delight City. Friggin bird..
I wonder though, if JoD was on the PS360 as originally intended, if we would have gotten any DLC, which could have potentially given us Ideya Capture missions and extra 2P modes.

;_; more than 5 months ago. Purely because it's hooked up to the TV downstairs and I don't really sit in the livingroom a lot. My Saturn is still packed away safely since i moved house. So i've not played either of the games for a long time, which makes me sad. To be honest i think the reason I've not played the original in so long is that *lol* I had Wyldflowa come visit me in Edinburgh back in 2008 and she SMASHED my scores making it impossible for me to get new records XD;;; Bah! Score Attack people are hardcore and make me cry.

A week ago I believe. I was reminded that the Wii's controls weren't that bad after I played The Conduit online and had a lot of fun. Then I decided that maybe I didn't give the motion controls in JoD enough of a chance. I do this every single time I start to play Wii games again. I experience great control and then I think, "Maybe I should give NiGHTS another chance."

About a week ago, I think...
I played for about an hour until I realized that I already had an 'A' in everything, and all of the dreamdrops... Other than flying around to break my link score in the Octapaw missions, I had nothing more to do... so I ended up starting a new game file and doing it all from the beginning again.

NiD: yesterday, as well as last Friday.
JoD: Friday as well. I'm going to try to actually beat it now that I have the stuff I NEED to play it: a Wii and a Gamecube-to-PS2 controller adapter.

NiD - Just last December. It's an annual thing for me. I play NiD ever year only in December as kind of a mini holiday.
JoD - I haven't played it in over a year at least. I rarely play my Wii unless a new game I bought comes out or I want to play TvC.

I'm currently in the middle of a leisurely playthrough of NiD. My Saturn's internal battery had kicked the bucket at some point since I last played, so I bought a new one and popped it in, deciding to play through it all again on my shiny big HDTV. I'm trying to make the playthrough last, so I'm only doing one stage every couple of nights, and not moving on till I 'A' each one. Currently on Soft Museum and Frozen Bell. But I'm enjoying it immensely. Gettting me in the correct mood for a port.

I played yesterday for a little over half an hour - managed to break the cage (got a C) and scare the rings out of Octopaw (A, ftw!) before failing to save the Nightopians from the swirling vortex and realized I didn't have the focus to continue. ^^;

Sometime last month when I was handled the controller to do things like defeat Wizeman, Queen Bella, fly through the notes in Helen's concert, etc. while someone else played. It was then I remembered why I loved NiGHTS in the first place. ^^ Can't quite describe it beyond "fun, freedom, and laughing".

Oh goodness, I have no idea. Maybe when we has those tournaments? It's not because I dislike JoD (far from it- I love it), but because I just haven't had a huge amount of time for video game playing between here, working on my show, and new stuff, like Jet Set Radio.
Smashy- NiGHTS love is more of an emotion, not something that can really be explained, I've noticed.

JoD? I played it two days ago though only a few minutes.

I-I've never actually played JoD. I don't have a Wii, after reading reviews I figured it wasn't worth buying a console just for this game.
I sometimes wish I had it... but I'm also pretty sure I made the right choice.
I think the last time I played NiD was in March or April - I was on a Saturn kick.

Its so tedious to hook up my Saturn, its fragile because the top half pops off (inorite?) anyway its in my room with easy access next to N64 and under the PS3/Wii setup. I played X-MAS NiGHTS April Fools day, NiD a few days later because I got my new 3D pad during Anime Boston and JOD probably 4 times since then because I have not gotten dream drops yet lololol.

Yeah, Christmas NiGHTS is the only NiGHTS game I don't have yet. It's just so damn expensive. I'm thinking of playing JoD again soon just for shits and giggles.

JoD was I think last Saturday. Didn't play it very long though. NiD I played on Monday, after hooking up the Saturn to our HDTV.

Too long... It was probably last year when my Wii was still hooked up before I moved out.
I've got the Wii sitting here, but it's a pain to try and hook up to the TV in my bedroom here. booo.

I actually booted up JoD and played for maybe 15 minutes yesterday.

I usually end up playing this game in small bursts every couple of months. Just recently I picked it up again... as it's usually a staple in the living room and not locked away in the bedroom. I have the old one, my Saturn, and hell, I even have the port for PS2 released a couple of years ago... but something about the new one fills me with unbridled joy that when I'm feeling stressed from work and commuting, I just sit down and play a couple of rounds... sometimes I even start the whole thing over and go through to see if I can best my score. I adore score attack games... especially this series.
I'm going to go so far as to say that I prefer it over the old one... not that there's anything wrong with the old one, I have a lot of respect and love for it, it just seems to me like the new one has more... flavor? If that makes sense. I actually have more empathy and understanding of the two kids in the 2nd one because their anxieties are a little more fleshed out and in alignment with my own.
Not to mention I had completely forgotten it had been released and I saw it in Seattle by complete accident during Christmas shopping extravaganza 2007. It was a pleasant surprise. (:

About one week ago. The game's cool, nice graphics, but it's kinda short. I know it's not a Zelda or Final Fantasy game, with ultra-deep-involving storyline but still... i played Super Mario World more than this one. The only fun i had after clearing it with both kids, was searching the dreamdrops. And i got them all. Now the game is just... boring.

JoD: A few weeks ago?
NiD: 45 minutes ago (I got 2.0 bonus on Jackle 2 times consecutively for the first time
)
My games are all in the basement, and I've been lazy lately about going down there, so I haven't been playing many games at all lately, to tell the truth. Last time I tried playing JoD (on NiGHTS's birthday), I forgot to plug in the Nunchuk before starting up the game, and it spazzed on me when I plugged it in at the main menu. It kept scrolling through the options on its own, nothing I tried made it stop, and the Wii wouldn't shut off
. So I gave up, unplugged the Wii, went through the trouble of switching the PS2 with the Saturn (only two outlets I can reach on the tv), and played NiD. XD
But yeah, whenever I do play NiGHTS, I tend to want to go for a high score on something or 2.0 a boss for the first time. I have to try to make myself relax about the high score thing (It's okay that you missed a ring. It's fine. It really is.), because otherwise I frustrate myself trying and failing to beat my own scores right away.

I'm playing JoD right now, in fact.
Darn those frustrating on-foot missions; maybe I should go play some link challenges instead.

It's been a looong time.
I'll probably play tonight though because I'm getting all wistful. I don't think I finished Claris' story and I do want to try to get all the dream drops.
Edit: Yeah, I just played it for a few minutes... It really doesn't have a lot of replay value for me, which makes me sad. Sigh.

When I played, the pians in My Dream didn't have red halos, but the ones in-game did for some strange reason.
