Happy birthday! I declare this the official birthday rambling thread. Lets kick back and wax nostalgia.

I remember my very first NiGHTS forum I made on EZ board. Anyone remember the graphical horror? XD

NiGHTS is everything a video game should be and more. I love that crazy jester!
I remember being all excited when the NiGHTS comic books came out - I was such a huge fan of the Sonic comics and the artist they picked was the best guy from Sonic at the time. There was a bit of disappointment...
But still, the character of NiGHTS is still able to capture my imagination, and I still enjoy playing NiD! Hooray!

I wish I was around for the early days of the online community. But hey, better late than never! And next year sounds like there will be some EARLY-JULY EXCITINGTIMES!

Hahahah! I remember going into a comic store in America and picking them up - totaly confused, bewildered and morbidly curious. OH GOD THEYRE SO AWFUL THEYRE AMAZING <3 Parody into Dreams pretty much solidified that for me *snort* I always wish Fleetway had done a NiGHTS comic though.

As of a few hours ago we have something incredibly exciting for NiGHTS fans, one of the things i didn't want to jinx- has pulled through. Pretty much our trump card. I'm so happy I'm dancing XD It's not a port or anything solid like that, but it's NiGHTS related and will make you fans squee. I mean i cried, if that means anything. I'm going to get that sorted to share with you lot over the next couple of days if i can.


I'm really glad I know you guys. I know we fade in and out a bit but everyone returns when it matters most.

Happy Birthday NiGHTS!

What I wanted to save for the forums was how awesome everyone is and how unique this community is. Were all fans of MANY many games but do you really connect with the games and people of other franchises like the NiD EXPERiENCE lol. I been to many VG forums and grew up as the local Sega freak (every towns got one XD) and this is by far my favorite to visit (even if I don't often) because we all enjoy the mutual company andhave that common interest, ONE BIG CONGLOMERATE OF SEGA FREAKS! I think diehard Sega fans have the biggest hearts than any other because we truly understand talent and we can see beyond the shadow that Sony has cast on poor Sega. So lets celebrate for NiGHTS and continue to show off our love so future generations can appreciate NiGHTS the same as other beloved characters.

P.S. A little boy came into my work the day after Sonic's b-day and he had Sonic/Knuckles figures and making them battle it was so awesome to see cause it reminded me of myself lololol. I have Sonic on my bag and I showed it to him and told him it was his b-day yesterday. It was so cool he got so excited and asked if I knew Knuckles b-day but I didn't know the exact date off hand XD But thats what I mean, I want kids to remember NiGHTS for a while longer, hes a good role model ya know?

This...er, uh, woah. I completely forgot it's the 14th anniversary.

What I'm freaking out about is that out of the blue (seriously, OUT OF THE BLUE!), long-since-lost Xenon and I wanted to play, so we fired up my PS2 and have been playing the game for the last half hour. And this whole time we had no idea until I hopped onto the forums. It's...somewhere between psychic, subliminal, and insanely awesome.

We may come and go, be in and out, some more into it than others, but in the end we're all still here and in it together. Amazing how something so simple brought countless people together.

Happy birthday NiGHTS!!! Fourteen years...I only wish I had known you for more of them! And TRiPPY I'm excited to hear the news, whatever it may be!

LOL I've been here in this community for less then 50% of the 14 years, but I've been alive longer then NiD has existed. But I'm still proud to be in this community. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME.

Yeah, that's what i like about the fanbase. It can be relaxed however when something NiGHTS related starts happening you all filter in again. Just shows the interest is still there in you.

Unlike the Sonic fanbase, we literaly have 2 and a half games to talk about. That's it. After 14 years you will eventualy run out of topics. But what i like seeing is support for NiGHTS regardless if we need to talk about the jester or not. I've been looking around online today and because of AAUK's post on the SEGA Blogs a lot of people are talking about NiGHTS. It feels good

And just for the record, i think AAUK does deserve a round of applause for the work he does. I know he was busy today yet he took time out to write that blog and got NiGHTS his attention outside this community. I honestly do think without him as community manager we wouldn't be getting half the deals we do so it should be noted that his work for our community is appreciated. I know if he had not done that blog today then nobody else would have.

And as for that surprise TRiPPY's talking about, i don't wanna give it away but as a community it's taking us a step closer to the heart of NiGHTS. More info as soon as we can

Happy birthday NiGHTS! I got into this fanbase on his 10th anniversary, and I plan on being there at his 50th lol. Wonder what our community will look like then? I'll be 56!

In awesomelely NiGHTSey news today, because I was stuck at work all day, I felt I had to celebrate NiGHTS' 14th somehow, so I placed a bet round the corner on a horse called Dream Catcher. And boy did it win! £16 in my pocket. Thank you NiGHTS my friend!

Oh man, I haven't been here in forever...

But I had forgotten entirely it was NiGHTS' birthday today! Good Lord, what's wrong with me?! So I'd just like to say: thank you NiGHTS fandom, thank you NiGHTS. The dream has gotten me through too many rough spots to count, so I should really say thanks.

I'm gonna try to get my brother to finally play NiGHTS tonight. Once he comes home from work, yes it WILL happen.



You know, NiGHTS really got me into dreams and thinking on the happy-happy side of life, and boy did it help me a lot sometimes. And I'm just gonna say this as well: I know I don't know all of you super-closely, but I just feel so at home in this fanbase. I mean, all of you guys are awesome! Thank you NiGHTS for bringing all of us here.

Sidenote: I wish I had known NiGHTS for a longer part of my life. When NiD came out, I was still toddling about in footie pajamas. I only got into NiGHTS around the end of 2007. I mean, I knew about NiGHTS and thought the characters in Sonic Adventure pinball and Pinball Party were awesome, but I actually didn't know much of the games. So much I missed out on.

To think that a game made over a decade ago still has legions of fans is incredible. Maybe it's best that we only have 2 1/2 games to celebrate- we're not all bitter like Sonic or Mario fans.

Sadly only managed a little over half an hour's play on JoD (really wish I had NiD), and I'm rather astonished at how well I can play even though I haven't played in a good few months. Makes me wonder how much of that was skill and how much of that was switching to a GameCube controller I got recently. XDDD;;;

Anyway, yes, may the Flying Purple Yahtzee of Win grace us with his/her/shim's presence for many years to come! ^-^

Oh dear, late to the party, but glad to see its still going on~

I had my fun on NiGHTS' birthday. Ran around in my cosplay for a bit, played JoD cause that was the game that started my crazy-insane NiGHTS fandom, left Will standing alone on a piece of the Dream Gate, floating around in darkness while I drew a birthday pic, had a good laugh voicing out what Will might say being left in that situation(it was hilarious the things we thought up. poor Will...XD), fed my Nightopians, and went to work the next day wearing purple from top to bottom~

Can't wait to see what we all have planned for next year~! I think I know what I might do(the day before, lol)~
