Also thanks to a reminder from Twitter, anyone with a PS3 can download a demo for ASR today. Been checking the store since the afternoon, nothing there yet, but it's usually updated about 4pm anyway.

Looking forward to playing it later.

Okay just had a quick play through of the demo in-between my mountain of Uni work.

The game is quite fun, quite polished and tight controls, just however very difficult to win. (At least in these inexperienced hands!)

However I still stand by the fact that Sonic should just use a car in the Flintstones way and run along the track. However he can pick up Chaos Emeralds and become Super Sonic and then literally fly along the track....

I have managed to get a very very quick glimpse of NiGHTS as the flagman at the beginning, and then saw the flash of familiar purple during the after race lap.

However I am still puzzled by the fact that I have played a Billy the Hatcher track against Billy Hatcher, Jet Set Radio, Shenmue etc and there is no NiGHTS?

As a life long NiGHTS fan this is perplexing, and after coming to the site more I am even more confused as to why Sega didn't include NiGHTS as a playable character from the get go and instead made room for Billy Hatcher?! I played the game on the GameCube it was fun and I liked all the little NiGHTS extras that were in there as well. However to admit him and not NiGHTS....puzzling.

Anyway thought I'd share my thoughts quickly, going to play the demo a bit more and give it a go in multi-player later.
