Steve Lycett has been open to us about other characters. Why can't he be open about NiGHTS?

This is really bothering me. Is Steve Lycett hiding this stupid mistake from the fans that SEGA made? He has told us about the fates of these other characters; why can't he tell us about NiGHTS? I still see doubt throughout the internet and I believe DiGi 100% regarding this, but it would definitely help the fanbase more if someone involved with the project came out and stated for a fact that NiGHTS isn't playable.

Can someone list a bunch of links showing S0L quoted as saying those characters definately aren't in? I'd like to read them. Sumo have been having fun winding people up to keep the fans guessing. Can't say it's a bad thing. We'll just have to wait and see what happens along with everyone else wanting their favourite characters to show up.

It seems the reason most info can never be 100% confirmed straight away by the people in charge is down to how much they can say and there is always different reasons for each case. Sometimes it's down to IP problems, money, NDC's, things not gelling well, lack of time etc etc etc. If we look at the reasons for the other characters then we can get a rough idea on NiGHTS.

I'd say NiGHTS and TJ&E are on par with eachother for high demand as DLC, but we all seen the TJ&E drama unfold online. I'm guessing S0L or anyone else for that matter doesn't want to do a repeat of that. Plus I imagine the people making the game are pretty darn busy what with it coming out soon. I can tell that myself by the slowdown on interaction on the official forums. The run up to christmas is always mad.

Also- there are a lot of people who would love to spring up and say NiGHTS isn't playable, but that would cause them problems. If they don't straight out confirm something to the masses it's usualy for good reason. Then it lands on people like DiGI and I to gather all our bits of info and feed them to you guys, the fans, who can collectively make a difference.

As much as I'd love to have people be open about this I'd also not want people getting into trouble just for our sakes. Double edged sword really

As for Vectorman, I promised someone that I wouldn't post the email, but it definitely confirms that he will not be on the roster (before DLC, that is).

It's weird. Sumo remains coy about NiGHTS. Okay, sure, I'm guessing maybe he's in the game in some form, but our campaign is for him to be a racer. So, if they're dancing around him being even something like an assist, that's still not the point. I dunno.

I imagine Sega didn't want Sumo telling us and setting off a painful backlash, and now that we know and have given them heck anyways, they're still holding out to avoid any more pain. An official confirmation would erase that barrier between us and the doubters, and then Sega'd have to deal with who-knows-how-many more people sending angry e-mails.
