Alternate Owl

The idea is whenever he shows up there's a little 'portal' behind him that opens to a night sky scene. And since Owl is a source of wisdom in JoD, he is now represented by Green, as in the Green Ideya (though then again, he may be represented by Blue as well, as per his coloration). He now has a perch with a green lantern, and may or may not always show up perched on it. I also had an idea that you see his eyes first and last as he comes and goes, like the Cheshire Cat's smile.
And as for speech, he makes a 'hoo' sound more akin to a real owl when he appears, for dialogue he may have some distorted Maren speak in a sort of deep male sounding voice.

Just one question about the portal, how fast does it appear/open? is it long and draged out, or quick and kinda like a *BANG I'M HERE*?

Thanks The portal would appear quick, it'd fade in, Owl appears to tell you whatever, then he fades and the portal fades. What I oughhta do is create an animation..i like that idea very well thought out, but knowing the gaming componies, they'll thinks it's "too cool" for the game.

how does the vortex apper? This is some of the stuff i see.
a) a split appears werever, then opens up revealing the sky
a small circle appears, and it slowly spirals into a bigger circle, revealing more of the night sky
c) a small circle appears, and it slowly stretches outwards
those are the ones i see, are any of them it?

Hm.. I think the way I see it, the portal opens in a clockwise spiral, first black, then revealing the sky portion, then Owl's eyes fade in quickly followed by the rest of him. But any of those would be good tooi'm sorry for asking more questions, it's almost in a sense fun, but i'm just curious.

I must say that I love this concept. It's a lot more... dreamlike? It definitely looks much more interesting that the actual Owl from JoD.
On the side note - wasn't the Green Ideya described as the representatiton of Growth? Or did I get it wrong?

In the first game, it was also Wisdom. They changed it to Growth in JoD. I suppose "Wisdom" and "Intelligence" aren't immediately different--Or, that's how I remember it. I could be completely off my rocker; it happens.
On the thread: Concept? Is awesome. And you totally *should* do an animation for it. Soneat!

His perch turns into an Ideya Staff, can be used to show Visitors clues, or possibly to attack Nightmaren
