I want to make some NiGHTS cosplay and I have no idea where to start. First of all, I want to make two or three different cosplays. The easiest of these would probably be Helen. I should be fine on my own with her. One that I might work on is UV NiGHTS. I kinda wanted to ask TRiPPY herself before making a cosplay for her character though. ^^; The one that I want to get done is JoD NiGHTS. I have no idea how to get started though. I've only made one cosplay so far, so I'm not very experienced in the field. I'm not very experienced in clothing either. I need some help to make my costume a reality. Also, I'm planning on making a Christmas rendition of JoD NiGHTS, but I'm not going to do that until I make the regular JoD NiGHTS and I'm more sure of what I'm doing. Please can someone help me get started and possibly help me with patterns as well. I need help with making my NiGHTS cosplay. (I don't need help for Helen, but any help for her would be greatly appreciated.)

I made it up as I went along with my cosplay, but I noticed that official art makes the best pattern. Make a picture such as a side view of NiGHTS' horn as big as you need, the print it out. Cut out the picture, and it's a pattern!

Well, thanks for that info. Could you also tell me about what kinds of materials I would need? Any info you or anyone could provide would be a huge help. ^^

I used fabric liner to get the right colour and texture, but it was a nightmare to work with. :P I'd suggest using real material. Foam makes a good NiD collar, if you can find it, and you'll want something light for the horns. I ended up stuffing mine with the newspaper and some batting, I think. :)
