Omgomgomg, excuse me, I just ate too much icecream and just discovered that my favourite anime convention has moved to my home city in 2010. Auchinawa was Scotlands first proper anime convention back in 2006 and we've attended every con since. It's usualy held in Glasgow (which was a fair coach trek away) but next year for some amazing reason it's going to be in Edinburgh instead! WHICH IS EPIC.
Now since I do actually live in London thesedays it seems so strange for me to be traveling to attend a con in Scotland, but i love the con so much that I want Studio Imagni to support it all the way~

A little known factoid for you guys, Nidcom and Auchinawa have always been hosted on the same server. We're data twins lol. Infact our server admin is the lovely Myst who runs DDR:UK and is always in charge of the Games room at most UK conventions hahah.

I designed the Auchinawa mascots Lochi and Klay back in 06 and theyre still used to this day, i get to see awesome artists draw my characters, its all good XD

ALSO, i plan on having a big table at Auchi 2010 for Studio Imagni. Gonna try get out as many new issues of the comic as possible before the con.

ALSO still determined to do new NiGHTS cosplays for this convention, provided i have the time. Lets see how much i can get done in a year!

I implore you all to come OvO It can be like a mini NiGHTS meet. I know Edinburgh like the back of my hand so if you have any questions ask away!~

I have no idea if I'll manage to make a new cosplay in time, but if all else fails that's what my old ones are for!

I'm gonna be bringing my flute again too, for musical stylings of a NiGHTSy and a Sonicy nature! Lol if I can find the time to practice again XD

Ooo, maybe we should think of some little NiGHTSy events for the fanbase members who're going XD A little club group thingy lol. Like, arts and crafts in the MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR while we queue around or something?

Dude Edinburgh is just a bunch of pubs and cafe's! With lots of trees and a castle in the middle! XD There are lots of places to eat in Edinburgh, the actual con is held like 3 seconds away from the city center's main shopping street It's right in the capital *glee*


OH CRAP I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING AWESOME. The con is right beside Princes Street... and i always wanted to do a NiGHTS photoshoot at the fountain in the castle gardens... SO GOING TO HAPPEN <3 *happy death*


edit- there's about 8 Starbucks within walking distance to the hotel. All less than 10mins walk. Failing that walk up the hill to Chocolate Soup. Best place EVER.

when i go (because unless it's absolutely impossible, i'm going!) i'm gonna need cosplay...for three days...i have urahara already, i suppose i could go as Dex (the white make-up should be fun to do XD) but who for a third day...decisions decisions...

Sorry Kisuke, but I'm over in CA, broke, and the only convention center here is used for live musical performances or plays. I like both, but there's a difference between "oo"ing and "ah"ing at a piece of work and hanging out with others while browsing over-priced merchandise and watching 25 Inuyashas walk by with 12 Kagomes, 5 Kikyos, and a few people as Miroku and Sango.

Edit: Coool... So I guess it's very well possible it'll be the background as... X3 Oh the possibilities. Wish I could go...

Well, look. I gotta break it down for you American peoples wanting to come to this. Your conventions usually contain 1000s of people and there's tons of crazy crap going on. This convention is most certainly smaller than those types and tickets for the con get booked up VERY quickly. In fact, last time me and TRiP only just bought the last two tickets and we're regulars, lol.
So, if you really want to come then get your tickets booked the second they go up, don't hesitate.

There's stuff going on all the time at the con and should nothing be happening then it's all down to atmosphere and this con has a great one.

This could be the first time a bunch of NiGHTS fans actually have numbers to attending a con. Let's all go! XD

I'm used to small cons and big cons, thanks to colleges and stuff. And yeah, random and crazy crap goes on, but I usually avoid it(cause sometimes I'm the one who causes it. XD ).

Well damn, that means as soon I as get the money for it, I'm hopping on a ticket. XD

Good idea, getting the ticket as soon as they're available for sale. I can figure out air fare (or if I've got to bust out a kayak and set sail into the Atlantic right after Metro to get there on time XD ) at a later time.


I like the idea of printing out Will's Dad's masks and wearing them. There was someone at Metro this passed year who was dressed as a TF2 spy, but had an array of different character masks that he'd change out periodically through the day. 'Twas awesome.

Now to find out what I need in order to get a passport!

That would be pretty awesome to get everyone over there, but like you said it could be tough to get tickets. I'll do what I can, and hopefully I'll be on top of when they're available. Hopefully.

lol DiGi.. I'd have a passport if I had more money to venture outside of the country at my leisure.
I think a while back there was no need to have passports to get in Canada and Mexico, but they've since changed it - or something of that nature. I also don't know if/how/when they expire, so I'd rather not sign up to get one and then have it expire before I can bother to use it.


So, that'll be at least 3 conventions next year. GIVE ME COSPLAY IDEAS PLZ D:
