Sorry, doesn't exist.... yet! There is an Animal Crossing City Folk editor and My Dream is far simpler...

I have found that if you desire something... make it happen. And that is just what we should do. Put our resourcefulness to the test. For this to happen we need not only community support, but effort as well. Shall we make it happen?

This seems interesting, but I don't understand what you're talking about. Would you mind elaborating?

I've messed around with some Saves using homebrew... But all I know how to do is swap files.

Yeah, sorry to burst anyones bubble, but it's all well and good talking the talk. Unfortunately, very few of us have any knowledge of hacking the Saturn, let alone creating modifyers for existing Wii games. Unless you yourself have anything to show us (PM me if you do), I'm going to lock up this thread, as I really can't see it getting anywhere.

I've reopened the topic on the basis that this does NOT become a "i wish i could hack otherwise i'm useless here but you have my support" topic. If you want this topic remained open then go about discussing plans rather than becoming ANOTHER project topic that doesn't go anywhere.

Jof is right, we don't have any hackers here and i'll be honest you're very unlikely to find anybody who would be willing to take this on right now either. But, sure. Discuss plans on what you can do.

If this does become a pointless topic that really doesn't go anywhere then it will get closed as we've had topics like this before. So use it wisely. It's all very well and good dreaming up what you could do if you could hack but if nothing is coming of this idea then it's pretty pointless just going around in circles going "i wish i could hack" bla bla bla.

Also, Jarun. We have forum staff for the reason that me and TRiPPY can't always be here to do the work. We are very busy people so the forum staff (usually the one dealing with your case) are the ones you should be speaking to.

Now, if you're starting something then do it and press on.

Good, so I have your attention. From this point on I will assume everyone is interested. The point of me first posting was assess how much interest and support people would have, but the topic getting locked somewhat prevented that.

I do realize I am new here and no ones knows anything about me. And going from the normal way topics like these play out, I fully understand why this topic was locked. In fact it is of the same frustration/irritation at all talk and no action that led me to develop what I call resourceful persistence. If something is possible and you can't do it yourself, find someone who can. I believe this is a skill in itself. While you may not be putting work and effort into the final project... it does take work and dedication on finding the people who can work on the project and are willing. Thankfully, I have found if you approach it the right way it is not as hard to find willing people as you might think. Doubting you will succeed keeps most people from even trying. Your confidence and expectation of a positive outcome is the most important component of achieving success.

The approach is the first step and the most important. And is what we now need to discuss.

So far I have succeeded in finding help in hacking a few games. But having a full blown editor written for a game is a bit more involved then what I have requested in the past. That is why I am approaching this community for support. We may have an easier time in approaching the hacking community as a "community".

Also, the more people you have working to find a solution, the greater chance you have at finding it. So this is where we brain storm on realistic ideas. Focus on what would need to be done to accomplish this, what kind of people could do it, and where to find them. I have a few ideas, but I want to hear ideas from other people first before I list out my plan / strategy.

MOST IMPORTANTLY Dont actually do or contact anyone yet! If we do find people who can and might be willing to help, how we ask them is very important. I will go into that later. So there you have it. Lets get started.

Well, don't assume everyone is interested. I mean, i'm not personaly as there are many other things that is requiring my attention right now and i've reopened your topic so people who want to show interest can.

And i think you might be better off by explaining your ideas now rather than wait for others to post theirs. You know, to get the ball rolling. At least with your ideas out of the way, if nobody else posts then you've kinda got your answer on who's with you and who is not.

Although i'm not having any part in this i do encourage forum visitors if they are interested to get involved and do what you need.

Anything that happens in this topic does not reflect NiGHTSintoDreams.com and if you do go searching for hackers we'd prefer if you guys went as your own group rather than 'on behalf of this forum', if you see what i mean.

So do your thing and good luck.

Alright mate. I gotcha.

Oh, I also want to point out my main reason for doing this is so we can learn more information on just how exactly my dream works. What triggers what. If you can flatten the field and edit the contents you can experiment with the changes made from playing the game under controlled conditions. My main stance is to learn everything about a game as possible. The rest of the game is self explanatory in its workings and unlockables.. But they gave us almost no info on mydream.

I have pretty much explained my ideas. If I spell out specifics everyone will say thats good, lets try that without putting some effort into their own thought. All I have done is followed what I said in the second to last paragraph. I want people to do the same. I guess I am encouraging them to think. To get involved in the effort of trying. Things the lack of which led to all the past "Wouldn't it be great if, only I can't do it" threads you are all so sick and tired of.

Well, I'll try messing around some more... But it would be hard to make an Editor knowing that the Save data can't be Transfered onto a SD card without using homebrew to Extract it.

Yeah, seeing that I won't use homebrew or mod my wii, I will not be able to help out. I would assume that's the case for many people if you are looking for hackers. If you aren't looking for hackers, maybe you can be a bit more specific how we can help out.

We need to find people with the skills to do it.
