Well, it's getting close to Halloween and in my opinion, one of the best parts of this holiday is going to haunted attractions with the hopes of getting scared. I'm just curious if you guys have any really good attractions near you that you plan to go to this year.

Personally, this year I plan on going to The Soap Factory's Haunted Basement. The Soap Factory is an art gallery in Minneapolis and since 2007 they set up this thing in their basement. I was going to go last year but things fell through. No chance I'm missing it this year. It has to be good when the phrases "Adults only" and "Sign waiver" show up when talking about it.

So, you guys plan to do anything?

Well around me there is apparently a place called "Fright World" which is five haunted houses in one. Also I'm about half an hour from Niagara Falls, which is home to a large number of them all year round. Also near me, open all year round, is a store called "Rotten Jack's Creep Shack" which specializes in horror/Halloween goods. Serious awesomeness - although the last couple of times I tried going they've been closed when they should not have been, I'll have to find out what the deal with that is...

We will see if I actually manage to get to Fright World before it is over? I'm unsure if I'll be able to find someone awesome enough to go with me. I'm kind of new to the area and have not found a real solid friend base yet. And you cannot go to such a place alone IMO.

Ah... Halloween. Reala has April 1st, NiGHTS has .... *checks wikipedia* July 5th (in my book; regardless of country, NiD came out that day), and Halloween is Jackle's day to celebrate.

On Halloween I'm going to watch scary movies...and maybe work on some things on my dreaded to-do list. No scary haunted houses since there are none around here. :/ Scariest thing around here were lights and plastic reindeer frames last Christmas over the coroner's roof. ...The reindeer were dead. >>;

I can count on the local kids, however, singing a little tune I made up last Halloween. :P It's short, it's silly, but they like it.

On a side note, since I've never bothered to look it up before, I now notice NiGHTS has his/her day right after Independence Day in the US... Yay! (11:59pm - "Happy Fourth of July!" 12:00 AM - "Happy NiGHTS Day!") /offtopic

...So yeah, no haunted houses for the ol' Smasher.

Edit: For the record, I'm not old. ;_;

I don't know if there's any haunted houses or anything of the sort around here or not. (First Halloween I'm having in Ohio.)
If there is, then I might go, since I've never been to one before. I'm probably just going to go trick-or-treating with my family like I do every year. (Except for last year, because I had to move.) :D I'm hoping that they have something NiGHTS-related in the Halloween USA store, especially a Jackle costume, but they probably don't, so I'll have to go as some other video game character or something along those lines. I can't wait for Halloween, though, since it's my favorite holiday! ^.^
@SmashQueen: Awesome! My favorite character has my favorite holiday! ^.^

They used to have an attraction in my town called "The Haunted Dungeon." They used underground tunnels that went up to bunkers from WW2, the area is called Fort Banks. Now people dump TV's, Air conditioners and crap like that in it now.
My friend lives behind them and sometimes will go down there, its pretty cool, its still got some decorations in there and shiz, they stopped doing the Dungeon for 10 years now.

I don't know about stuff near me. There's probably tons, but I have my own ideas about how horror should be done and how themed attractions should be operated, so I'd probably end up spening the entire time analyzing the house. :D

Despite this, I did take the endless flight out to Disneyland, where they have the Nightmare before Christmas-themed Haunted Mansion Holliday and the new Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. Both were great, but I really hate the flight. Dx

Oh God, I just love haunted houses. Just everything about them make me all happy and tingly inside. I just love Halloween!

ANYWAY. An amusement park near where I live opens up during Halloween, called "Fright Nights". But it's only open at night, and the whole place is basically one giant haunted house. It's pretty great. Even the rides sometimes have a twist. And you know, rollercoasters are always better after midnight with fog machines around them. It's pretty intense. They won't let anyone in under 13.

There's also one in the park near my house called "Hundred Acres Manor". It's cause there's an old house rented out for parties is near it, called "Hundred Acres". And it's like, a 2 mile drive through dark, creepy woods just to get there. I have only gone through it about 3 times or so, but I work there quite a lot. I find it more fun to scare than be scared. :P But that's just me.

EDIT: I just found a video of it on Youtube. It's pretty cheesy, cause they had to incorporate a "Blair Witch" feel to it, so I didn't post it. But it still shows some good parts in the house.

Aw man the best haunted house I've been in was the one at Alton Towers. I was about 15 at the time and i remember standing an HOUR in the queue because it was a sorta new attraction back then.
It's a traditional ghost train ride, but the first few rooms are free roaming and you can do what you want until you sit in the cart.
It looks like a proper gothic Adams Family type house. Swinging chandileers, wonky tilted floor, paintins that move and stuff. But the most awesome part was this huge dolls house in one corner. But inside the dollshouse was this ghost of a little girl walking around, it was some kinda holograph projection, but it was so neat! There was a holograph of a talking guys head in the fireplace too.

The actual ride is a bit corny, giant spider at the end lollers i slapped it, but the rest of it is really cool. I wonder if i can find anything on Youtube on it...

EDIT-
REALLY ANNOYED >:[ I joust found out in 2003 they 'UPGRADED' the haunted house and it's now called Duel. They made it into a crappy laser gun ride.
Frikkin guns, why do they always have to spoil stuff by making it violent.

Probably going to the local "Spooky Corn Maze", and then to go to my friend's house, which will probably be decked out Halloween style...

There's also this one really creepy thing called Nightmare... it may be "christian" but people just go there to see the fake Satan and pee their pants at all the fake gore and stuff....

I may go again to see if they've changed it up at all...

I also paln on wearing a costume to school... up here, alot of people do that....

You must go there dressed in something NiGHTS-y. :)

I want to wear my costume everywhere on Friday and just say it's my regular clothes. There's nothing unusal about a tunic and tights, is there? :P

I'm planning on going to a Halloween attraction at a local theme park, it's the park where Zombieland was filmed. There's always a bunch of haunted houses and people come out dressed up and freaking everyone out later in the day.
