Edit: Okay, folks. So I have removed the link to my tindeck. No, it isn't because I've taken it down. It's because I don't keep it up-to-date enough. I use other hosting and sharing these days, for privacy reasons, so that only the music files I want shared are shared publicly, but I can upload it all to the same place with more organization. So I have created a website! Here you'll find random blog posts, links to all the stuff I'm doing, and access to all the remixes that are out now, past and present.

http://level99.thestuffoflegends.net/

Enjoy!

(original content of post)

Here's a story, so skip to the link if you just want to get to the music:

Last week, an acquaintence of mine wanted me to make her a mix of all my stuff, past and present. A few things hit me: 1) practically none of my old music is available at any easily identifiable place online now, besides whatever is on OCRemix (which, at the moment, isn't much, soon it will increase I hope!) 2) I'm screwed if I lose some of these files since they aren't online and 3) I have been slacking on my organization and tagging of music.

So not only did I make her a mix cd with 24 old and new tracks, but I made a premium Tindeck account to host my mp3s! This is mostly 4+ years of remixing attempts, works-in-progress (that I can release), One-Hour Compo tracks, and a few originals. I'll do my best to keep it up-to-date, but it will share some common files with other places online, like OCR. However, this is the ONLY place where all of my music can be found together. Well, not all, but you know what I mean.

REMOVED!

Check back there regularly...for example, tomorrow I get to upload one of my latest remixes! I can't give any more info on the LATEST one until then, but it's a good one. Furthermore, I did my best to do it chronologically, with the oldest and worst being near the bottom of the expanded list (except the NiGHTS one at the way bottom, that's quite new but I'll tackle the re-linking another day this week)

Enjoy, and please leave feedback here if you want!

Note: There are MP3 ID tags on them that contain the songs and games remixed, as well as other info, but you can only see it if you download them and look at the properties of it.

The quality of the work is really nice, dude.
There are a few in there that caught my ear nicely. 'And Now The News' has a sense of vibrance to it. And that's an original track, is it? You wrote that yourself? I like!

Summer Action Hero Megaman was also really catchy!

And i like what you guys did with the Donkey Kong track by the way, lol.

Seriously, some good stuff in here ;)

Just finished a new remix of Sonic and Knuckles - Death Egg Zone.

I'm gonna tweet it @sega as proof of my love for Sega, Sonic, and how badly OCR deserves to make some official Sonic music :)

Good work man. Always a joy to listen to you're stuff. And just because you asked for it, feedback/constructive criticism.

On the plus side your guitar work is always great. It never disappointments. One thing I've noticed when doing stuff that's a little more in line with electronica is your baselines can be a little weak. For example, that Spring alley remix you started some time ago seemed to be lacking the energy of a nice heavy bass line.

Still good work though.

Danke, Zero-Shift. I appreciate the feedback and constructive criticism, as you're right that I'm still getting my legs in that area. Bass usage and mastering is currently one of my biggest flaw-points. This song has buzz bass that is supposed to be much more a reinforcement of the drums and rhythm guitars than it is supposed to be a strong, energetic bass taking on it's own points. It is definitely weaker and not as well-implemented as I would have hoped, but I'm happy with it. Perfectionism can get the best of me, sometimes, but this is great to know about what to focus on in future mixes. Glad you still liked it!

Great!
I'll need to take a listen to all of this when I get the chance... To the fellow music lovers out there...
This is NOT something to pass up...
Now then... I have work to do... and that music better still be there by the time I get back...

Heh awesome, and you know it will be. I've unfortunately been slacking on keeping it up-to-date, as keeping the podcast and my project songs all up-to-date has taken priority. But whenever I get the chance to finish any stuff, I'll try to post more there. Just remember: some stuff is very very old. You'll definitely see my musical progression and kinda see where the jumps happen in quality. I may sit down at some point and post up all the DoD entries and whatnot that I've not uploaded yet.

Whoa, Great Job, I'm not a music expert but I really like your music!
My favourite one is "And Now The News"

"Chromium Asphyxiation" was a bit too "heavy" for my taste, but recognizing the melody from S3&K was a nice break.

Keep up the good job!

Just a bump to reflect the edit in the OP: I have upgraded to a full website that I'll be keeping up-to-date with all the music I have strewn about the interwebz. There's LOTS of stuff there and now it is carefully organized. I'll also be uploading songs as they are completed, before they are posted to most other sites.
