some of you remember me and some may not. ah well, im just a person who enjoys making sculptures... heres my work.
first i shall bore you all with old stuff. because im evil. XD
Here are my old oekaki stuffs... in order: NiGHTS ssssmokin, Surly NiGHTS 2, and Fun With Scissors
Heres the ancient NiGHTS sculpture i made, about .... almost 2 years ago? its also the first NiGHTS related sculpture i made.
sadly... he was partly destroyed by my accursed dog... his legs got chewed off into tiny bits, roughly a few months after making him... ah well, i still have the upper body though.
Next is the Reala sculpture.
i made this guy one random night when i just felt like making something. quite a long time after making my first... (dont worry, hes still intact.)
Next is the Super Kawaii NiGHTS sculpture...
(also intact...)

I can't wait to see Jakku!
I made a clay Jackle. xD It came out horrid, and PLUS I had to color it with fat markers, as I had no paint.. which.. killed it more. :|
Do you use white clay then paint, or use colored clay?

and dont worry about my first NiGHTS sculpture. im grateful knowing he wasn't completely destroyed. i could try to repair him, but i might end up making him look worse. ah well... now i just pretend hes doing a tornado drill spin. (that what its called? cant remember...)
Oooh those are awsome.~ ^__^ <3's~ I remember when you made the first sculpture on the old forums. What kind of clay do you use?
Im happy that you remember me.
the clay i use is Sculpey.

Im sorry to hear he didn't come out right. ... but regardless, id still like to see it, if possible.
again, i use the colored Sculpey clay. no paint. just my hands, nails, a couple of clay knives, sculpey, some super glue incase of breaking, and my own skills ive taught myself. Oh, and the oven. (if that counts)
thanks again everyone.

ok, in the video i was in a bit of a panic, because the batteries were dying, so what i said in the video will be explained more thoroughly here.
First of all, the reason why i had to resort to upload a video was because my computer was reformatted and all the programs to alter pic sizes were lost, we cant install them in our other computer for some unknown reason... and the camera wont make the pics small enough... so i was forced to use a video. SECOND i will be gone for about a week or two starting tomorrow, im going to chicago for a while... and THIRD, i may not be able to seperate him from his cape once i finish it...
heres the video, sorry about the crappy quality.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJ2uFhw1gQ0
consider this another little preview until i figure out what the hell to do about the pictures that actually do it some justice...
now for the explanation.... I decided to challenge myself and not give him a face, i made an illusion of some sort, to make it seem like he had a face from the front, but from the side, theres nothing. i dont know if you can tell in the video though...so i SINCERELY apologize in advance...
if im ruining anything for anyone, let me know, and ill take the video down. sorry
i used fish lines to give him the "bodiless" look. and the teeth didnt look right when i finished them, so i was forced to paint in the crevices of each tooth to have them stand out more. im unsure about the fish lines... i might remove them and do another illusion step with his body like i did to his face when i finish the mantle. i used sculpey III, of course, clay knives, my hands and nails and super glue, and anything else i may have mentioned...
so far its really hard working on this guy... but it helped teach me some new things.... hmmm.... even though i got this far with him, and im really glad i did... im still quite a bit discouraged... because i cant shake this gut feeling that I've done very him wrong somehow...
(on a side note, you get to hear my impersonation of jackle on there. its not that good though... i was just having fun... i did it as best as my throat would allow... also i tried to quote some of the lines from trippys old "card games" comic shortly after the laugh...)
EDIT:
i deleted the video, because i felt that it was dated and was of no further use...

And as for the impersonation... you're my new hero. ^__^

and i really wasn't expecting any positive thoughts on my impersonation of him. i seriously thought it was a dangerous move because i believed i sounded too different...
thank you all so much, it means alot, really.
I love that you left out the head and didn't take the easy way out by just making it black.
yea that part was tricky... and i wanted him to look close to the way he was in the game. the inside was smoothed out, and i had to make sure that the eyes and mouth were aligned as best as my gargantuan fingers would allow, then i glued them and held them in on that exact position.
(ps. im too fat to be a hero! XD )
thanks again all! i'll try to finish the mantle when i get back.

like money issues... put downs... and all that... but thats beside the point!
Jackle is now finished... i'll only put up his front side and back... because you'll see everything else whenever it gets on the website...
so here he is... (its the smallest size my camera would allow)
NOTE: i decided to get rid of the fish lines, because it just looked stupid... so i tried to use some handmade "pegs" that stick outside the mantle and blend in the mantle as well... they stick out in the position of where his hands and feet are. and they give him a bit of an illusion-floaty-look...
front
side
and back
making him was a frigging nightmare...(no pun intended)
seriously... all sorts of things were going wrong right from the start...
it was hard to start... cause... well, he has no body.. and it was a bit difficult to gauge how big everything had to be... so i started with the head, and moved downwards from there... it was really hard... (my poor fingers T_T) and the orange clay was ridiculously soft...
the mantle was, by far, the most difficult... after i had cut it out... it was too small, and i had to keep on piling on more clay, smoothing it out...
it didn't end there... after i baked it, it all started to brake and crack... after fixing them, i started on the patterns... getting all the cuts as accurately as i could... very tricky... then i had to make the "hood" part of the mantle... it was a bit easier... but it was still hard to get it to match up at the neck... at some point i was worried id mess it up beyond repair... so i tried to slow down and think carefully before making any moves...
and then... somebody in my house thought it would be funny to turn my oven up to 350 degrees... and 75% (i think...) of it was burned... all the white became charred black... and the yellow turned to dark green... by this point things were so frustratingly difficult i ALMOST gave up... i considered the idea of calmly starting over... but then i figured I'd at least TRY to save it...
the orange and red parts were left alone... they weren't effected that much in the oven...
the white and yellow parts were painted... carefully.
I'm not really proud of the mantle... i dunno... i just feel like i could've done better... perhaps I'm just setting my own standards too high...
anyway, enjoy!

XD You should try making Wizeman! Though, his horny pointy bits might melt in the oven (unless you use wire inside?)

BEST THING EVER. Thankyou for the email with all the awesome photos! I'm adding it right now *hugs* Ahaha every time i think I'm already impressed you just go and top it.
XD You should try making Wizeman! Though, his horny pointy bits might melt in the oven (unless you use wire inside?)
BWAHAHAHA! Im unstoppable! XD hehe, no problem.
ive already started planning out on how im gonna do him and all the other maren... and other models of NiGHTS, reala, secret works that must never leave my lips until they're done, etc.
so yea... lots of planning... and finding good references, which are always difficult... so i just try examine them in the game...
it takes awhile for me to actually start though because, i usually have to wait for my random spurts of inspiration... and with the way things are right here, its kinda hard to find. plus i only work late at night... i think its because i don't like having people around watching me as i work.
and to add to that, im running low on specific colors... im thinking about painting my models over super sculpey someday...
(ramble, ramble, ramble...)
oh, and sculpey doesn't melt, it burns... well, the stuff i use at least. so the horny things should be okay when i get around to making him...
all in due time...
thanks again everyone, means alot. (huggle wuggles)

'kay guys, my sister kindly asked that i take NiGHTS the Snowmaren down... she just felt embarassed about it after a while. and she doesnt want to put up the video either... its out of my hands.
I sincerely apologize...
however, i have something new to fill up the space that the Snowmaren left behind...
i call it "Teeny Nights"
you'll understand why i call it that later..
i've never fully painted my sculpey models before, so this was a bit of a test... (still need practice)
took one sleepless night, and i think its slightly less than 2 inches tall...
still not happy with it though... the coating made some blotches in some places, and it bothers me... also the face... i feel like i didn't do it right...
hope you guys enjoy it more than i do.

Quick update: Got 5 NiGHTS related models in works
2 are finished as far as sculpting goes.... still need painting...
1 is almost finished sculpting... (will reveal hopefully soon...)
2 are about half done (won't reveal until both are fully completed)
Still trying to learn how to paint well... its hard... don't have a whole lot of time...
Work in progress.... (slow)
Kircle
Hollow
...couple other things... found these by accident...
old (bad) archived images of some Oekaki that I once tried to submit, but didn't go through... one is obviously incomplete
hope to finish sculptures soon... need some time to... learn...
I'll try not to be so quiet also...
