I'm pretty happy to hear this. I can't say I was extremely hyped for the game but I did want to see it get a worldwide release. I lost interest because I had doubts it would ever come over but that's changed now.

I'm clearly behind the times, since I haven't played the first two yet. I've got to get on that.

Now hold on there is still no official confirmation from SEGA but still it is something to get all our hopes up for the game to come out over here. Maybe they will give us a date at the Tokyo Game Show later this week, and if you remember, Sega announced Yakuza 2 for the U.S. and European markets at the 2007 show.

I'm still not sure about this news myself. I know that 1up has a good rep but no site is perfect. Still I'll be waiting for any announcements when TGS rolls around. Now hold on there is still no official confirmation from SEGA but still it is something to get all our hopes up for the game to come out over here. So, let me get this straight... The game's Japanese title literately translates into "Like a Dragon" and they called it "Yakuza" in the west? It's like they had an aversion to good decisions.

I actually think Yakuza is a much better title for the western market.
