...A Challenger Appears.

It might seem a little cheap, but the Afterburner remix also counts IMO.

Oh, and lol.

There's genre's and then their is personal style. Jazz isn't exclusive to Sega and what I was trying to say was I thought the game's music sounded distinctly like Ueda's. Don't forget, there are quite a few orchestral compositions too.

...partly because it's got little nostalgic nods to old skool SEGA stuffs

What nods? If I didn't know who was publishing I'd swear this was a Capcom title from top to silky smooth bottom. Er...maybe it's just because I havn't been following the news.

...partly because i'm a pervert.

Amen brother. XD

The game comes out in January. Happy Birthday to me. :D

I picked those particular songs because their styles are similar to tracks from Bayonetta. The Werehog battle music is just a joke.

What nods?

lol, dude.

Ok, firstly -

- The obvious homage to Sonic the Hedgehog's golden rings, which are explained as being halo's but the homage is visible.
- They actually name drop Robotnik. I think someone says the line "you've been beaten more times than that Eggman fellow" or something. I've personaly not heard it yet but people have been talking about it since the leak happened of that line.
- If that wasn't enough, Bayonetta features remixed Bayonetta-styled music of Splash Wave (from Outrun) Space Harrier (self explanatory) and After Burner (also self explanatory). I've heard there's more than just these three but i don't know what they are yet.

Lol, i'm currently asking Platinum for DLC costume content for Bayonetta and seeing if they could do SEGA related costumes. If so, a NiGHTS costume would be sweet as her ass, lol. XD

Okay then, I'm just oblivious. Sorry, I typically don't keep tabs on upcoming titles I'm interested in for fear of getting tired of them before they even get released. There are exceptions though.

Bayonetta isn't region locked for 360 if you guys wanted to know. The japanese version also has an English language option.

Also...THIS:

Pretty sure the 360 version is region locked. PlayAsia says so.

Hey guys,

I still got a few spare bayonetta demo codes for North American players if anyone is interested. Just drop by my site and give me a silly/funny idea of what shape you would create, if you had Bayonetta's hair.I know it comes out on thursday but a day early for those that haven't tried it is still nice? :)

Hope it is alright to mention it as it would be nicer to see the codes go to people that would have fun trying the game!

I have a friend who got the jap version. So far there have been Sonic, Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil 4, Okami, and plenty of straight DMC rips. 'flock off, featherface!' And I've only played a few of the chapters.

Also, for the code, I would make a bunch of snakes and make everyone think I was a Gorgon. And 'bite' people with them.

I sent you an email with the code so check your junk/spam folder in case it ends up there. Have fun playing with lady Bayonetta. Also very cool idea for the hair Sierra as it would definetly be interesting to set snakes on those angels in the game! :)

Haven't played the full version but it does contain lots of SEGA references! If anyone else wants to play the demo before tomorrow then there's still some codes left.

You know, DiGi, with the revelation of Big the Cat-Nukem, and now this, I can't help but enjoy every time I shatter part of your fragile little world. Nothing will be left sacred. Not even...

Announcer: "Tune in next week to find out!"

:( You have to admit, the resemblance is indeed uncanny. If it were just the hair, or just the glasses, or just the facial expression, I'd dismiss it. But all those factors and then some...man, someone must really have a crush on the Alaskan Ex-Governor at Sega.

No you don't. :P I honestly never understood where the hell this comparrison came from. They look nothing alike. Bayonetta is a sexy, sassy, ass-kicking witch with a whole lot of style. Palin is a lumpy, over the hill politician with barely half a brain.

And for the umpteenth time, Sega isn't developing this game! Why can't people give proper credit to the right people? <_<

All that aside I'm all for shattering DiGi's perception of reality. His reactions are worth it. ;)

I was planed to cosplay as Bayonetta next year, and hope that I got the right face form for her.
Not only will I try to cosplay as her, I´ll also try to dance like her and learn some moves.
This was just a make up test bc I was bored at the time.
Took the photos with my webcam. :D

I'm with Sierra: get the right accessories and your face is a natural for that cosplay! Definitely gotta show us how the final turns out.

Also, I need to find a way to play the demo. This not only includes getting it but finding a couple seconds to actually play the freaking thing.

Also, I just beat the jap version; and by just I mean ten minutes ago as of this post. Fun times. I have to admit I was playing it on easy automatic to get straight to the gooey story goodness. (read: whole game, 5 hours) Now I can sit back and replay on harder difficulties and work on my finesse.

Reviews are out and all around great.. though the PS3 version's marks are a bit lower due to those technical problems, which I really really hope get fixed via DLC or something. I can't stand to be stuck playing a lesser version of the game.

Well, ships this week to the western world. I'm ecstatic. Deliberately keeping myself ignorant as much as I possibly could about this game is going to have such a tremendous payoff. I can't tell you how hard it has been to NOT download the demo, but it;s all worth it for an explosive first impression.
