I'm starting this just because I didn't see any threads like it and I thought it would be fun to share. Anyway, what is your personal favorite song of all time. I know that can be a difficult decision so if you can't choose, just say pick a song you absolutely love. A song that in at least be in the running for your favorite of all time.
Personally, my favorite song period is Music Sounds Better with You from Startdust. It's been my absolute favorite ever since I first heard it in 1998.

I have several favourite songs, but there's one song that has ALWAYS stood out to me. It's got a bit of an ambient sound to it, and whether it's to calm me down, get me working, or get me through some hard trials it's always worked.
"Into the Ocean" by Blue October.
Into the Ocean
I'm sure I'll have several favourite songs in the coming years, but this one'll always be my All-time song.

Hmm, it's not easy to choose just one song. I guess my favorite song is Live and Learn by Crush 40.

That's a toughie...
I'd have to tie it with Seven Rings in Hand(by Steve Conte, Remix by Crush40) and Endless Possibility(by Jaret Reddick).

i can't pick one, so i'll say the two that are the main contenders!
they are Dev Parade: Bacchikoi!
and Panic! at the disco: There's a reason these tables are numbered honey, you just haven't thought of it yet.
Bacchikoi just rules in general but i like there's a reason these...............that one ^, because it reminds me of Urahara from Bleach

Irony. I've been thinking about my response to this topic for a very long time - normally I've got something sort of quick to the punch... but you've asked such a deep question.
I'm inclined to blurt out "Souls of Distortion" by Joe Satriani as my all-time favorite, but that fluctuates based on my mood. When I'm super inspired, it's my favorite because every time I re-listen to it, I find something more - there's something else I add to my mental video of the song.
"Flying in a Blue Dream" comes in as a close second, though that's more nostalgia than favorite.
Just as I clicked on the topic, my iPod Shuffle fell from its perch - shaking itself and mixing up from Todd Rundgren to the Foo Fighters' "Everlong."
"Everlong" is an excellent song that I adore to endless bounds... however "Alex Chilton" by The Replacements is my number one. It's odd, to some degree - when I first heard the song, it was on one of the worst nights of my life (which is not something I say lightly). It's upbeat and happy, and .. I dunno. It's one I can listen to in any mood at any time, and not want to change it to something else that I might potentially enjoy more. Changing songs is a bad habit at times, like chewing flavored gum too fast.
Took a while to realize and acknowledge "favorite" in terms of songs.

Let me begin with a rather dull explaination of the word "favourite," as it is actually more complex than generally thought. Merriam-Webster give the definition of favourite as "one that is treated or regarded with special favour or liking." Now, one should never define a word with itself, so "favour" here means "friendly regard shown toward another." So, in esence, "Favourite" is something held more importantly than anything else.
Now, the song I listen to most ofen tends to change peridoically, and I enjoy many songs immensly. However, going by the above deinition, I hold the song "The Memory of Trees" by Enya to be the most important song I know.
I have always loved the music of Enya, but I've only started really appreciating her in the past year. At first, "The Memory of Trees" was just another song. It was nice, but by no means more imortant than any other. It was not until hearing the song on the most incredible trip of my life that I began to associate it with that day. Now, it's slow beginning reminds me of the rain, and it's triumphant second half is like the fun I had. The slow progression from calm to magnificent always leaves me feeling uplifted, and it's helped me through general craziness. The title refers to the Druids and Celts, people who I strongly respect. Of course, I can even tie it in with NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams and my favourite dreamscape in it, Memory Forest.
Now that my babling is done, the song can be heard here.

I looked around the music thread and, to my surprise, no favorite song threads!! This will not do, I am not pleased, but I forgive you. . Alright, time to get serious. My favorite song for now is, Queen of Light by E-rotic, it PWNS anything the Jonas Bros. can dish out, if you ask me. *shot by miffed rabid Jonas Bros. fangirls.*(Don't get me wrong, I like some of their music, but they are just so over-rated now-a-days.)
Some others are, (in no particular order):
Dreams, Dreams (of course.)(Not the kids vocals though, I don't like that version.)
Dream of Absolution
Caramelldansen: http://www.youtube.c...feature=related ( Do not own video.)
Angel of Darkness
Listen to the Rain.
Sakura from DDR
Moolight Sonata (I'm getting old.)
Speed over Beethoven
Beethoven's Virus
Last 4 are technically not songs, but you could put those kind on your list to.
There's a lot more I like, but I'm to eager to hear what other people like for their music.

If you used the search thingy on the site, it tends not to be very helpful. We have a favourite song thread right here- Your favorite song of all time
That's more about one specific song, though. I also love Dreams Dreams, but not the kids version. Caramelldansen is fun, especially to torment people at parties. >

It depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Right now, its Sweet Child O' Mine, by Guns N' Roses.

My favorite song changes from time to time but mine currently would have to be Queen of Light by E-rotic.
