Well, I couldn't find anything like this on the forums, so why not?
First off, what do you think of it? I think it may as well be the best stop-motion film ever. The story is great, voices are great, the animation is spot-on. It's a shame the game wasn't as good. It could have easily had better graphics, missions, etc.
On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate the movie 11.
What do you guys think?

I'm very interested to see it. Haven't read the book. With movie tie in games you should never expect them to be good, remember. A good movie does not a good game translate.
I feel like it connects to NiGHTS in some ways, what with the dual worlds theme. A NiGHTS level designed like the film's scenes would be so, so cool.

It's definately a good movie, and one of the most book-accurate I've seen in a while. I actually liked the changes made to the story for the movie.

Haven't read the book, but the movie BLEW MY MIND. X3 Now I'll probably go read it sometime soon.
1-10? BAH. I give it a 25.

I think it's more like an infinity to me. Also, I feel that it leaves off for a sequel. I wonder how that would do?

I'm not a huge Neil Gaiman fan and haven't read the book but I really want to see this.
I intend to drive to a mall about an hour away so I can see it in 3D. I know that when I saw My Bloody Valentine 3D they charged me for the glasses, which was LAME but this time I have a FREE PASS. Huzzah!
I love stop-motion animation lots.

I haven't actually seen the movie yet, but the book was awesome. Read the whole thing in ONE SITTING. XD
I plan on trying to see it in 3D as well... and I've poked around the site in addition, and it looks wonderful.

Wow...one sitting?

...The only way I know this is because of Wikipedia. I'm just surprised only one to two people out of all of us has read the book...

Coraline was great. The 3-D was stellar, the story was engaging, and it looked amazing. Of course though, there must be a downside. I really didn't care for Coraline herself. I had no idea the book exsisted, so I am unware if it is better explained, but Coraline seemed awfully snotty. Where her mother was nice nice to her, she was all, "No! You always say that! I hate you!" and her mother did seem genuinely sad. Also, Wybie wasn''t that bad- why was she so rude? No wonder her life seems terrible- she's mean to everyone who tries to be nice to her. But still, it was a great movie overall.

I do agree with your opinion of Coraline. There were many scenes when she seemed stuck-up, and I disliked her for that.

The movie surprised me, it was quite good. I didn't see it in 3-D and that's just fine by me, don't really need to. Although I wasn't bothered much by anything from the movie, the one thing that did was Coraline. I'd read the book before and she was always an adventurous, curious and mellow girl. Can't say I cared much for the movie Coraline that yelled at her parents and asked for $25 gloves but you can't always get everything you want from a book into a movie.
