Hey guys. It's a new year with new releases on the new horizon new newy new new. Anyway, just like the title suggests, I'm curious what some of your most anticipated games of 2009 are.

Also, I was wondering, I start my radio show again next week. I don't have a review ready so I though reading posts of what people are looking forward to would be cool. So, if you want me to read your post on live public radio, just say so. :) Anyway, here is what I'm most looking forward to this year.

-Street Fighter IV (oh god I need it now!)
-Bionic Commando
-MadWorld
-Bayonetta
-Resident Evil 5
-Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Sumoner 2

What's your list like?

SFIV - I need my PS3.. I can't have this game be out and me not playing it
Sonic and the Black Knight -even though I don't get my hopes up I'm always interested to see how the latest Sonic title pans out, for better or worse.
MadWorld
No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle
God of War III
Ghostbusters - the tricky choice here is between the sophisticated PS360 version and the all too naturally controlled
(in theory) Wii version
Batman: Arkham Asylum- Having Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reprise the voice roles is a big plus for me.. could be best Batman game ever, we'll see

Dragon Quest V and I also think DQ VI for Nintendo DS -- I haven't played DQ IV yet but I have the first three for GameBoy Color and VIII for PS2 and think it's exciting to finally be able to fill in the missing bits?

And I really want the "Ace Attorney" spin-off where you play as Edgeworth. AFAIK there have been no announcements regarding a US release but I shall dream!

Banjo-Tooie for XBox Live Arcade(it'll get Stop n' Swop in the form it was supposed to be in the first place, yay!)
Kirby Wii
Another Code: R, Gateway of Memory
Endless Ocean 2(oh god, it's so casual, but I love underwater games!)

And titles that probably are not in development at the moment, but I desperately want:
Aquaria 2(it just has to happen! You'll see why if you play the game xD)
Kameo: Elements of Power 2(damn the music, scenery and characters of the first game all were plain awesome, and it was so fun to play, albeit a bit too short for an adventure game sadly.)

Oh, is Beyond Good & Evil 2 coming out in 2009?

Because I might actually buy a current-generation system for that.

I think there isn't an official release date yet, since it's only been a bit over one and a half year into development, at least that's what Wikipedia says^^ Many people I know say that the first game was really grand, I still have to play it>.<

I'm not much of a gamer (too many other worries), but I'm highly looking forward to the Wii remake of Klonoa: DtP.

From what I've heard, they're staying faithful to the original, which is a huge relief.
I just hope they keep the 'Phantomilian' speech and don't dub anything over in English.

Right now, there is only one game I'm waiting for, that it doesn't come out until October.
Phantasy Star 0.
I know someone mention Phantasy Star Portable, and not to rag on that game or anything, but I sure do hope it helps Sony get their portable out of the crapper. Seriously, the PSP isn't getting much love this year. And just curious, but will Phantasy Star Portable have wifi so that you can play with a buddy halfway across the world, or are you SOL in that department?

I'm excited for Phantasy Star 0 as well. I'm hoping that the DSi will be out by then, because I'll need something to play PS0 on. After seeing all of the awesome-ness of the other Phantasy Star games, I really want to play this one (I haven't actually played the others myself).

Hm, what else am I waiting for?

Oh, Sonic and the Black Knight. That comes out in March, correct? I'm hoping I'll get some birthday money from relatives that I can use to buy it. ^^

And, I just found out that Pokemon Platnium is coming out end-of-March. (That's what Amazon said.) I didn't even know they were working on another pokemon game, let alone it comes out in a month! (Seriously, where have I been?)

The DSi is coming out sometime in April I believe, but I don't think you need that to play Phantasy Star 0. Hardware wise, it's just about identical to the DS, except it'll have 2 cameras, no GBA slot, and instead a SD slot. Oh and also built in internet browsing and slightly bigger screens. But with all that extra stuff, the battery won't be as long lasting, that's for sure.

On a side note of Phantasy Star 0, I reserved my copy in mid January, and it doesn't come out until October 2nd here. Has anyone else preordered a game that wasn't coming out for 6 months or longer?

PSP isn't online last I heard. So I guess you just need to gather 3 friends to maximize the fun. You can download the demo off the Playstation Network though.

Wow, that sucks.
You can surf the web on it and download the demo, but you can't play it online.
If that holds true, then I wouldn't bother to buy a PSP in the first place.

Oh my, Saifer, we are kinda alike XD I'm totally buying a PSP for .hack//Link, and mostly because Tsukasa and Subaru are in it*-* It's so great to see those two back! Other than that, some new games I'm looking forward to:

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time(it's going to be released in europe soon, yay!)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers
and somewhat the two Kingdom Hearts portable titles, I hope they're not feeling like some other stupid Square Spin-off games...

Good ol' Tsukasa  I'm personally keeping my fingers crossed for a certain purple cat to come back... I think we know who I'm talking about ^_^
100 characters from all the .Hacks and 30 of them can help you...
I WAS looking forward to echoes of time... but in order to play it with 4 players...... you need at least 3 ds's as well as 3 ds versions of the game... but the Wii owner can't play with other wii owners... but you can always get a fourth ds and game so you can play with others... >_>
I was really hopeing that the next KH was going to be on the PS3 or something :( now that I hear it's on the PSP I'm abit worried...

wait a sec... I forgot to put Monster Hunter Tri on my list!

Well the PSP game is called Birth by Sleep, and it's a prequel to the first two games. It looks really nice thus far, although a bit more mature in style than the older games somehow. But I agree with it being pretty dumb to need multiple cartridges to be able to play together. It seems like Square really uses the restrictions of the Nintendo-consoles to earn even more profit xD Meanies. Anyways, as far as I know there probably will be a Kingdom Hearts for PS3, since the game was planned as... uhm what do you call it? Quintology or something like that? XD Well it's planned to have 5 main parts or something like that.(although, who knows if they count the ds game, the psp game and the mobile phone game... if that's the case then there won't be one x__x)

It's apparently a DS game that is set to be the first release by Gaijinworks, the company that formed after Working Designs' death. As something of a Working Designs fanboy, I am excited!
