I, personally, remember in images, like a movie. These are events that either have changed you, or that you can remember in extreme detail. This also goes for dreams, too. Here's a few of mine:
- My first memory is of my pre-school classroom. I was using long, wooden blocks like they were skis. It didn't quite work so well... (Also, the teacher's name was Ms. Scrub, lol)
- When I was four or five, I broke my arm. I remember tripping (since I tripped over my shoelace while on a stepladder and broke my right arm), crying out, dad picking me up, and being handed to my siblings in the van. Also, I remember the saw they were going to use to take the cast, but I don't remember the cast being taken off.
- For several years in a row (not anymore) I use to have a dream on Halloween night where the world was doomed because of an earthquake, but anyone who made it into my van would be safe. (There were several variations of this dream, one including a pool, but basically that.)
- I remember (don't be mad) stealing a couple of markers from someone who ended up becoming a friend of mine later (we've since lost contact.)
- Being dragged out of seventh hour Communications class thirteen days before the end of seventh grade, only to be told by the principal that people thought I was going to pull a Columbine (If you don't know what that is, look it up.) I ended up staying at the school until after 5 PM that day, and after much crying (on my behalf) I left with a 10-day suspension from school. After a few days, I was told that I couldn't come back for the last three days of school, which meant I didn't get my closure that year. I remember taking my math final in my front yard on a blue folding table. (That event really made me bitter.)
- (Last one for now) Not that long ago (in early September) I had a horrendous panic attack. I have of yet been able to sleep in my room again.

Sounds like an interesting topic. I am so sorry about the last two, seems just plain awful to live through those events.

Now to really get inside my mind...

-The Phantom of the Opera

Kidding!

- Getting out of my crib when I was....very very young...and sleeping in the hamper for the rest of the night.

- The first dream that I remember was when I was sitting at the porch of my parents' house, then a green T-rex came stomping by the streets, picked me up then was about to eat me when I woke up. At that time I didn't know that dinosaurs were extinct. So I was very scared of dinosaurs.

- My older sister finding an Atari in the attic when I was six. We hooked it up and I played Pitfall. I couldn't get past the crocodiles, or were they alligators?

- Um, I'm not allowed to talk about NiGHTS on the OFF TOPiC part of this forum, so I can't write this one down, but I remember it very well. The nightmare really freaked me out. I was debating in my mind whether it really happened or not. For a while I thought it was a reaction to my stress in my last months of High School. Yet thinking about it now, I still don't know if it really happened. Yet it never happened again, thank goodness.

- At High School Graduation, my Homeroom Teacher wrote me a story about a Magic Pickle Fairy, who had the same personality traits as me. She gave it as a speech during the ceremony. I was thinking the entire time, "How does she know my online user name?"

I've got a totally random memory where one of my friends asked someone if they heard of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and they said no no no.
I remember getting in trouble when I was in preschool and not being allowed to play NiGHTS.
Umm...I think I smeared a tiny bit of paint in my grandparents' guest room wall behind the bed. They never noticed.
Walking with my cousin away from my grandparents' house and talking about walking to Wal-Mart, even though we knew we wouldn't get there.

- I was playing out back and a vicious dog got loose. I ran up to my house but the door was closed so I knocked viciously. Just moments before the dog could kill me my mother saved me and I got into the house without a scratch. I guess you could say my mother saved my life hehe.

- I used to like this girl in high school. I called her red head girl a lot since she had dyed her hair red. I would at first sit at her table at lunch but I would never talk to anyone. So anyway, one day at the end of lunch me and her were sitting side by side. She started talking to me and showed me some characters she made up. After that we both went our separate ways. Next day I sit at the table and do the usual. Don't talk to anyone and just listen to my music but on this day I turned down the volume on my MP3 player so I could hear her voice (and what a lovely voice it was) only to hear something like this between her and a girl next to her:

Girl ~ "Didn't you say you liked him?"

Red Head Girl ~ "His teeth are yellow."

My teeth are pretty off colored. I don't believe this is my fault since I had brushed my teeth a lot and still do. Still to this day I don't know if that's exactly what she said. Hell she probably wasn't even talking about me but it still makes me wonder sometime. Long story short we were still friends after that but never became anything serious. Now I've completed high school and she's going to graduate this year. We never talk anymore.

Aaah, memories...

- My first memory is of me waking up in my crib in the middle of the night. I started to look around and started seeing these animals coming toward me. I quickly retreated under the covers after staring for what seemed an eternity.

- The first nightmare I remember is this: I was sitting on a bed (most likely someone else's, though it could've been my future "big girl" bed) when all the sudden my brother goes into the wardrobe. It trembled and rocked, and then when he finally came out, he was a vampire. He lunged at me and sucked my blood through my ankle.

- I have some pretty bad memories from elementary school, but this is one of the ones that really make me grit my teeth. One day in music/art class (I was in fourth grade at the time), the teacher, Mrs. Ethington, told us to color a paper leaf for our school's thanksgiving turkey-type thing. After a tedious fourty-five minutes of coloring and blending, it was finally time to leave. She had us all line up against the wall and she started looking at everybody's leaves. All the sudden, she yells, "Who's leaf is this?!" and she picks my leaf off of the desk. So I go up to her and tell her it was mine. The woman nearly has a stroke she's so angry at me! She thrusts the paper leaf in my face and hollers, "This leaf isn't colored correctly!!" and she gives me lunch detention.

memories, it's so easy to leave me, all alone with my mem- wait? not that kind of memories, ya say?

I remember in the third person, on occasion. It's creepy, but true. Some memories-

- me running across a McDonald's Playground
- Drawing on bricks with chalk
- Filing a movie about dinosaurs
- Playing with this teddy bear at preschool. He was aptly named "Happy Face" because he had a...happy face. We'd play this game where my friends and I were in a boat, and we'd come to thins haunted house, but when we got to the gates, we'd scream and run back to the boat. Needless to say, we got in trouble alot for screaming. Anyway, one day I come back to preschool later, and guess what? Happy face is in the trash can. I cried, so the school gave me the bear and my mom fixed him.
- Coming up with an idea for the funnest movie I've evr made, "Lost in Witch's Wood" with my cousin
- Finding a Wicked Witch of the West figurine at the dump
- Freaking out because my mom was humming "Mahna Mahna" (It used to scare me)
- Sitting on a bed at a hotel, then falling off
- Seeing Christmas window displays

more fun memories! ('cuz i can)
-On my sixth birthday (or maybe fifth) I was really sick. Mom and my siblings were going to take me to Toys-R-Us to get me a gaming system. However, I lost my lunch right before we got into the car, so I had to stay home while they got my present from the toystore. They came home with a Tomagachi (I think that's spelled right) game for the gameboy. More importantly, however, was the fact that they brought me a SEGA Genesis, along with Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic Mega Collection (the original one), Monopoly, and (forgive me) a Barbie Super Model game. I was slightly disappointed at the time because I wanted a Nintendo system like my older siblings had. Nowadays, however, I jokingly say I was "The SEGA girl raised in a Nintendo household". I don't regret their desicion ('cuz I'd've never picked up JoD, and never met all the people here!)
-(This one's not for the squeemish/ easilly heartbroken) I woke up and got ready for school on Friday, September 7, 2007. When I headed down the hill to the bus stop, I saw Zack looking at a small form on the ground and asked him what it was. He said it was a cat, and when I went to inspect it, I saw it was my cat Shadow. I picked him up and dashed up the hill with his stiff form in my arms, screaming for my mom. I was going to cut across my yard to hit my driveway, but my mom was already starting up the driveway (We've got a weird situation with our driveway/street.) I finally managed to wave her down, and she jumped out of the car and ran into the house, yelling my brother's name. By this time, I crying heavilly, and I remember both my mom telling my brother that I thought the cat was dead, to which my reply (Although I don't think she heard me) was "Mom, he's stiff." My brother looked at the cat and confirmed the cat's death, along with another line I really can't repeat here. Then I just plugged back down the street and managed to catch my bus (I had to go to school that day- making up tests is a giant pain in the neck). I started crying in Latin, although I tried my hardest not to, and the teacher thought she had done something wrong. (No matter what people say, teachers really do care. I know she'll never see this, but, thanks, Dr. Worley.)
-On a less depressing note, Halloween 2008 was probably the best Halloween I've ever had. (Considering the Halloween before was probably the worst.) I'll not go into too many details, but one of our party, Niko (a guy, to make it funny) went dressed as a maid, I had branches in my shirt (I was going to go as a tree with a "No Hunting" sign, but I forgot my sign in the car), my friend's sister, who we ended up stealing from their house ("Hey, we're stealing your daughter, Peter's mom and dad!" Note: I forgot Peter's last name for about five seconds there...) well, she was going as Palin, just for the heck of it (and she had a wonderful impression, too. lol). Then when we got back, we played Cheroodles (that got a little adult...) and afterwards Spencer, Ellen, and I headed upstairs to get Brawl set up, Niko came charging into the room screaming "Caido!" (Not sure how to spell it, but it's the Latin II Battle Cry) at the top of his lungs while brandishing Andrea's fake sword. We then had a Brawl Party until 11:30, when Ellen drove Niko and I home. She was barefoot. (More adult conversation in the car. For teenagers, we have some pretty messed up minds...)
Huzzah!

I got in a nasty car crash. I remember it vividly and can definitely say it was one of the most significant events in my life.

My earliest memory is staying with this woman who tried to kidnap me at her farm and looking under something in the barn. I don't know exactly what was under it but I remember it had to do with a Shell gas station sign.

Throwing a chair at my wall and making a hole. I moved my desk in front of it.

My mom was watching this movie once and was trying to get me to eat fish (I have always hated it) and in the movie this woman looks down at her feet and there's a baby, and then she looks down and starts screaming but I was young and didn't want to watch. I remember another time like that she was watching the end of a movie where a woman was holding this girl in bed and rocking her while she was screaming but I'm not sure what the movie was or what happened?

Got in a car crash once in the middle of the street and waited four hours for the police to find us. In the middle of a busy street.

Kind of random memories, but whatever.
