I would have made it that when you get the last ideya the fight begins with Wizeman the same way and everything but instead of him dying in 3 hits he laughs maniacally and says well done Nights. He goes on saying how Nights is just like he was and then he takes of his persona (helmet or mask?) and his cloak and reveals a twisted but older looking versions off Nights. Using his power he seperates Nights from the kids and he teleports them to Nightopia. After dialogue, Nights and Wizeman begin their final dual which plays like a harder Reala's fight. At the end of the fight Nights gets the hope ideya from Wizeman and returns it to the kids does a graceful bow and fading away.

I can't say I agree with what you would have liked to have happened but I'll share mine...

Before the ending, I would have liked Reala to have had a proper death scene. Anything at all, perhaps falling into the oncoming darkness or he too dissolving into bits of dark/light. Anything besides just GONE!
As for Wizeman, I enjoyed the end very much. I know hope is a very important Ideya but it overshadowed the importance of having the RARE RED IDEYA. The game felt more like it was about the YELLOW IDEYA then the RED IDEYA.
A nice twist to have seen, for the extending ending, would be if Wizeman re-stole Helen and Will's Ideya, all except courage, and have them fight to get them back, instead of just for hope. Maybe I'm dissing hope a bit much but seriously, RED is supposed to be most important.

[sillyness] Then again maybe NiGHTS 3 will be all about GROWTH! or INTELLIGENCE or maybe even PURITY! :o Buy the whole NiGHTS Saga, Hope, Purity, Growth, intelligence, and courage box set! [/sillyness]

It's mean, but I gotta blow a serious hole in your idea, Mystic - the whole reason NiGHTS reached out to the dreamers in the first place is due to his lack of power to stop Wizeman on his own. He needs the power of the kids' Ideya to even fight Wizeman. If Wizeman separates NiGHTS from the kids, we're back to square one.

What I would have changed mainly is the fight with Reala. Instead I would have Reala assume forms with his persona in the same way NiGHTS does. He'd have a dragon form that looks kind of like Gillwing, a Missle form perhaps, and a Shark form. You would assume your own personas to counter his, much like how you need them against Wizeman. I figure maybe you attack him directly, and maybe also cause him to hurt himself using obstacles in the arena to his own disadvantage.

Kinda agree with Viper on this one. They could have done so much for the boss battles with Reala but instead they didn't. It would have been nice to see him transform into things as well. It would have really brought out the element of the masks in this game since they hardly ever get used other than maybe in one or two occasions.
Maybe it could have been kinda like a Pokemon fire-grass-water triangle where if Reala turned into his Dragon form NiGHTS would have to be in his Dolphin form to beat. Or something along those lines.

Also, i agree Reala needed a death scene. Every boss in the game has a death scene (Bella's being quite cruel yet awesome i thought) and it just seemed a bit odd that Reala had nothing. Reala really did get the arse-deal in this whole game, lol.

As far as the ending goes, yeah i guess it's fine. It doesn't connect too well when you think about the full ending in detail because the time frame is messed up. It goes from being sunset when Helen starts playing the violin to being midnight when the lights accidently go out and Will turns up. They should have just had the whole scene take place at night, would have made more sense rather than jump all over the 24 hour clock.
Also, Helen's mum and and Will's father just seem to vanish after that power cut. Why? Are they no longer important cast members even though the whole point of the kids story is to fix things with their parents? Helen's mum was sitting near a bush and Will's dad was following some kids and that's the last we see of them. Fantastic!

Ther are many things I would have kept from the original ending (before you get all C's).
First, when Wizeman appears at the Dream Gate, I would have kept the original scenes with Wizeman dragging NiGHTS and Helen into the Dark Ocean and Will jumping to save them. It makes more sense than the scenes in the all-C's ending, where both kids face the same events separately.
Then before the fight against Wizeman, NiGHTS telling him to shut up. That should have stayed :o
And after defeating Wizeman, I would have kept Wizeman's speech about never being destroyed as long as darkness exists. I liked this scene and I was kinda disappointed that it was removed in the final ending.

Also, I would have liked a better battle against Reala. Throwing balloons doesn't feel epic.
And as mentioned, a proper death scene for Reala.

Well, I don't really think my I my idea's that good either (I typed up when I was sleepy) but what I really wanted was a more epic battle for the secret ending. When beat Wizeman the first time I thought that was to easy! I had more trouble with Bomamba and Queen Bella! Then I read there's a secret end and thought "Oh that's why he was so easy he's not dead and then I go through the trouble of getting a C on the bosses I had trouble with and bam the same battle later he and all of Nightmare are dead. I would have been truly disappointed if not for Night's beautiful farewell. :(

I thought that was really weird how Helen's mom didn't jump up to comfort her scared daughter yet I started to think it might be one of those moments where it's more a memory then reality. Like at the ending of NiD... suddenly the Real world disappears and they're in Spring Valley again. It's as if they're ecalling their dreams... in a theatrical way rather then literal. As if it's not all reality anymore but more a memory. The whole lights going out thing was just a reminder Wizeman isn't dead. Just as NiGHTS being on top of the tower is proof he's not dead.
It's like a dream again instead of reality. Mind games. lol

But I seriously agree with the lack of parenting this game. Lol Sorry I lack in explaining how I think the ending is... lol

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. That look gives an eerie pedophile vibe in my opinion.

Anyway, I'd have made Wizeman's fight better. The battle was virtually identical to the original on the Saturn and was sadly the easiest in this title when it should have been freakin' epic or at least somewhat challenging.

I would have changed the ending by having Wizeman steal ALL the Ideya(except Courage), and after they leap into the Dark Ocean, it would have a NiGHTS Into Dreams-ish feel. Where the Blue Chips would ACTUALLY HAVE A POINT and the Ideya Captures return. I would ALSO make the Reala fight a bit more epic. Again, the Persona Reala idea is EPIC!

Believe in your Dad, a pedophile, and conquer your fears, Will! lol

I agree. It would have been really nice homage to the original fans if the last stage was collecting chips. I just shake my head at what little time they had to make it.

Yes, I agree. I liked those because they tied the kids' stories together instead of having the overused identical boy & girl storylines that so many games seem to use these days. If they had kept those, then the all Cs ending would have been almost perfect, in my opinion.

And they would have to change Reala's boss fight. I like it in NiD better. It's quicker, easier, and yes, more epic. Or they should have at least had paralooping him as an option, because sometimes I do find amusement in throwing a big glowing ball right into Reala's face when he's about to grab a Mare Balloon.

Also, Wizeman should have more hits before he's dead and more attacks to use. He's not challenging enough.
