Yeah, now it's working. That's very interesting. It would make sense, I guess, for smell to influence dreams since sound and touch do. Next, they'll do an experiment on taste's effects, I betcha.

Hmm. Given the variability in responses to the odors, I don't think that's a very conclusive study. I mean sure, external stimuli will influence how a dream shapes, but there doesn't seem to be any direct correlation to how it influences dreams, other than "it does." It could also be related to the fact that they had knowledge of the study before going to sleep, which likely radically affected the results as is.
That reminds me, I should restart my dream log sometime...

Well I think it depends on the scent. I mean if its something that strongly ties to lets say a memory of yours then it should influence the dream greater. Like for me I had a dream I was running with a fox and out of nowhere we fall into a pit of peppermints, I wake up and found out my brother was drinking peppermint tea for his throut and everytime I smell peppermint I think of my father when he was alive, he always smelled like peppermints lol
