First thing, this isn't a NiGHTS cosplay so I didn't think it belonged in that section. If a mod thinks this is wrong, could you be so kind as to move it please? ^-^ Thank you.

Okay, so here's my plan for Halloween:
Posted Image

This is Ulala's spy suit from Space Channel 5 Part 2. It's my very favorite outfit. X3 I've got most of the things I need. I've got a broken old 360 headset I'm gonna paint black. I found pants just like this only solid black with a gold belt. I'll be using fabric paint for the belt and stripes (so I'll be cheap Ulala, oh well!). Black gloves are easy enough to find with winter coming, and I have some strappy platform high heels that will work well enough. My hair is the right length to put up and color pink.

My big problem is the shirt! I cannot find a shirt like this, even one I can crop. Every longsleeve black shirt I can find is either a hoody or a V-neck, or both. I swear it's like a woman can't wear a shirt that doesn't show her cleavage anymore... I can paint on the pink, I just need a dang black shirt! I've found something ALMOST right, but it's in mens and too big. They don't carry a small. Argh.

So what help am I asking for? Well, do you have a shirt like this? Know someone who does? Know an online store I can buy one (cheap)? I need one that's like stretchy or t-shirt fabric (preferred). I do not need sweater, sweatshirt, or longjohn fabric. I also need it to be black as possible (not faded to brown or gray). Sizes I can wear are as follows: Ladies or juniors small or medium, boys medium or large, girls large, mens small or extra small (if that exists). I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount, or trade some commissions for it. Any information at all will be much appreciated. Thank you!!

Looks to me like she's wearing a cropped turtleneck in that image. Maybe you can find one in a store once the weather gets a little colder.

I'm just afraid I won't have enough time. XP The Dollar General has some turtlenecks in every color but black. D:

I'll make a note to one of the other mods, since it seems like there are mixed cosplay topics over there in the Creative Section that aren't 100% NiGHTS-related.

Also - check your local thrift stores. I'm pretty sure you could find a turtleneck floating around there.

Thanks, Josse. ^-^

Thing is, there ARE no local thrift stores. There are two dollar stores: the Family Dollar where I work and the Dollar General where I have checked to no avail. I hate small towns. ;-; The world is against me finding this shirt!

I checked ebay and there are over 500 results for "black turtleneck". Most are in the range of 15 to 30 dollars. This is weird though, some of them are in the hundreds.

Sometimes I just don't understand fashion.

I'm so not paying $15 for someone I don't know's used shirt that I gotta cut and paint anyway. D: I tried ebay before.

We'll be going to Walmart soon. I'll check there again...

No local thrift stores? Major bummer.

Walmart just unleashed a bunch of Halloween stuff, and there were a few shirts in the clothing section - at least at one of the stores in my area - that you might be able to manipulate into what you need it to be. They're finally starting to lean into fall fashions..

Hurrah, Walmart had a black turtleneck in the little girl's section. ^-^ It was a tossup between a large and a xl, but I decided the xl was a little too baggy.

Moar helps? Any tips on making her microphone, anybody...?

Wal Mart sells little balls you could put into a ball pit - get one of those, maybe a plate or something light weight from the crafts section, and a rod. Hot glue that, yo. XD Even if you can't get the right shades or anything, you can always paint it the color you want. Metallic Blue isn't hard to find.

Just a suggestion.

Another nugget of advice:

Learning to moonwalk will automatically make this costume cooler. Just like Space Michael. :)
